I'm one android 10. Every time when I move away from my home or work WiFi, I get the message: " WiFi signal weak - Calls may be ended if they are made via WiFi.
I never had this message on android 9. WiFi calling is off.
Because Samsung's network coding is an absolute disgrace.
I was hoping they fixed their networking issues both for LTE and WiFi on Android 10, clearly they have made things worse
Is there a way to turn off this message?
Irritating wifi message
Hi, i also am receiving that "Wi-Fi signal weak" message and it is very frustating! Can anyone help to turn of the message? This message doesnt just pop up once. If my signal is weak it pops up every 5-10 secons?... and you must click BACK or OK before you can continue doing what you were doing...
Solved so far...
I see if i disable wifi calling and then reboot my phone, the message seems to stop. Hope it stays solved

If I have both on I can't acess the internet the 3g+ is constantly on as if fetching data but nothing online works.. If I turn off cellular data everything works via WiFi and same goes of I turn WiFi off, cellular data works well..
I had thisproblem with stock 8107, but I flashed DFT ROM to my phone and it's working fine now... maybe you should try it
Same here with mi7-rom. Anyone else?
This thread shouldn't have been made in this Dev section. You already have a thread in General for this.
Disable ADC
delete the following reg keys
hklm/comm/wwan1-(Service Provider)
you may have more than 1 entry, delete them all.
power off the phone to ensure the reg is saved, power on and restart the phone.
This may also help those who are unable to connect with wifi and 3g on at the same time..
---------- Post added at 05:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 PM ----------
if you are still having issues try swapping the sim over to one of a different service provider, even if it doesn't work.
I did that, but now my data connection doesn't work at all. I have a 3G+ connection (Vodafone Netherlands), but none of the webpages actually load.
I've tried rerunning the Samsung Network Profile app (and lost my favourites in the process, great work Samsung ) but that doesn't help either.
I use HTC One with android 4.4.2 and I have this problem. Wifi Hotspot keeps turning off when screen is turned off. I have looked everywhere in settings and set "Power Mode" in Hotspot settings to "Always on" and "Keep Wifi on during sleep" in Wifi Settings to "Always", and "Sleep Mode" in power options (Turn off Data connection during long periods of inactivity) to Off. But they haven't helped me with this problem.
The only solution I've came up with is to set screen timeout to maximum. I don't know what else to do
could anyone help me with this problem?
I have the same problem, and is likely do to some bug in the HTC code. I am very not happy about it, and this is day 12 so I may need to return the phone.
I have the AT&T variant.

One thing that does work for me is Bluetooth Tethering, with or without the screen being on. So the issue for me is specific to Wifi Hotspot.
Unreal, I am experiencing the same problem with my HTC M9 T-mobile variant. Unrooted. Problem exists in lollipop 5.1 and the new marshmellow 6.0. I can't believe no other people have chimed in on this. I have tethering plan as part of my plan.
I know this has been discussed about before. I have tried all of the other solutions, except a Factory Reset which i do not want to do. I do not have WiFi always scanning enabled. But i do have Location set to Battery Saving and Location Reporting enabled. I never had this problem until yesterday. My phone never sleeps and gets really hot because of the constant awake time. I did not install any new application. Google Play Services updated to 7.x. But i doubt that is the problem. The issue goes away if i switch to LTE only. I'm on stock 5.0 and I'm not rooted so i cannot drill down to see what exactly is eating my battery. Any help is appreciated.
Just an update. This seems to happen only on my Work Wi-fi which is not password protected. It does not happen on my home wifi or any other public access points. Any help is appreciated.
Download this app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer
It will show you the other wifi connections using the same channel and if there are many connections, the phone will struggle more to get hold of a good signal though it shows that it has excellent range.

Out of curiosity, have you posted the same thing on Moto Owners forums too?

Thanks for the reply I have read the same problem been posted on Moto Owners Forum, but it wasn't me
I did install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobidia.android.mdm&hl=en and found that it was Google Backup Transport that was continuously keeping wifi on by downloading something. It does not happen with any other wifi network. I even switched off Backup & Restore. But this does not help.
I know there is no configuration problem in the router, because my Nexus 7 2013 works just fine on Wifi.
Ok..if you have access to the modem settings, try changing IPV6 to IPV4 in the settings.

Unfortunately i do not have access to the modem settings as it is my work Wifi. However, my phone worked fine on the same Network with same settings few days back. Don't know what is wrong with the phone. I don't want to factory reset yet
my note 4 is completely stock. and whenever I get a call on my wifi the person on the other end can't hear me. I can hear them just fine. turning off wifi allows them to hear me. Did anyone run into this issue?

I'm not sure what settings I should be looking at. I just leave it as default that is to use wifi calling when connected to wifi network. Is there any particular setting that I need to be aware of?

If you have the auto switch then if u in a spot with 2 good services it might go back and forth. Will cause issues.. When u turn on WiFi calling which connection did you choose. Where are you calling on WiFi from home or out and about

I chose the first one which favors wifi calling if not, it will fall back to cell tower. And it's my home wifi. Wifi calling doesn't seem to work at my work place, it keeps saying connection error (red notification on notification pull down)
Well to start call Tmobile and make sure the issue is not on their side.. They might send you a new sim card.. Then take of the auto switch on WiFi and see if you good

I ran into a similar problem with Wifi-Calling at which I can hear voice from the other end but they cannot hear me. Problem was solved when I disable WAN and LAN ipv6 and default back to ipv4. Seems like Wifi-calling does not like ipv6 protocol at the moment.
Try running ur apn like mine.. Never have any issues

Is anyone having signal issues with the axon pro? My phone keeps going in and out of signal, and while my status bar says that I have "no service" I will have full bars, but only when connected to WiFi. When not connected to WiFi, all the bars are lost.
Is anyone else experiencing these signal issues or bug of this sort? Just trying to determine the root of the problem.

When did you start having problems? After the latest update?
I think it is a problem with the Wifi calling feature. After trying wifi calling and having problems (the other person couldn't hear me), I decided to turn it off.
After turning it off I started having crazy issues - the wifi calling would turn on even though I had turned it off. After turning off wifi completely, data wouldn't work so I rebooted the phone. After rebooting the phone, I couldn't get a signal at all. I tried rebooting the phone multiple times but the signal wouldn't come back. I switched SIMs and it still wouldn't work. At this point I was thinking there was a hardware problem with the phone so I was considering calling ZTE to get a new one. But I tried one last thing - I turned wifi back on and made a wifi call - the signal came back! So it is a software problem.
So I turned on wifi calling again but configured for "cellular preferred". It seemed to work well for a while, but then a few days later went crazy notifying me every few seconds that wifi calling was turning on/turning off.
To keep the phone stable I have now unfortunately had to setup the phone with "Wifi Calling Preferred". Thankfully soon after I did this I started getting error "REG09: Missing 911 address" so it doesn't try to use wifi calling anymore.
No point calling ZTE support because their phone support is appallingly bad. They won't understand the issue, they won't give me a ticket number. All they will say is either "reset the phone" or try to send me a new phone which will just make me lose time and lose data. They had a website where you could raise tickets for a little while...but it looks like it has been blocked now as it could have been too useful .

Trying posting to their Twitter account and report the issue, that is how i got their attention. Also when you call them (here in the USA) tell them that you have already done a reset on your phone and that did not resolve the issue!!!

I got some signal issues too I only get 2 to 3 tower usually but at time its completely dead and until I reboot my phone signal doesn't Pop up ...and at times even though I have like 2 signal tower it shows emergency calls oly...I don't use WiFi calling as am on straight talk.but the WiFi calling feature suddenly pops up in the notification bar giving an error message u can't swipe that off the notification bar too u gotta go to MORE in settings and switch on and switch off the WiFi calling feature to remove the error msg from the notification bar .
Signal keeps fluctuating call clarity is a lil bit poor comparing it to my old lg g2 . macro focus doesn't work at all u can't focus a thing that's really close in auto. I dono what to do with this phone.it just doesn't satisfy the basic need of a phone voice calls and message(messages take a long time to send ).

I see the same issue. I have created a thread for it. Not sure how widespread the issue is

Again, not worth my breath. If you check the new thread someone called up ZTE about the issue and they blamed it on T-Mobile (which is complete and utter BS). When I called about the camera issues they tried to blame it on Google. Why waste my time to be told lies? The support is completely s***.

Well hopefully ZTE will come out with a fix really soon, I don't think that they want to lose the users they have.......
Loss of at&t signal
In one location that I frequent I always sit there without a cellular signal while people around me are using their cell phones
LTE signal strength sporadic
My Pro shows a few bars for a couple seconds, then NO SIGNAL for a few seconds. ZTE is not fixing this problem? It has been going on since January. Now is September.
For those with this issue, does a factory reset change this behavior, or at least the frequency of it?
