Okay so here's the crack.. I keep dropping my phone and because of that it's pretty broke. Screen smashed and all that but lately the lock button has stopped working unless I press it real hard. And then today it won't work at all.
I used to use something that allowed you to wake up the screen with the home or volume buttons. Any ideas or suggestions? Apart from get it repaired because that's far too much effort

Doesn't matter. Figured it..
Anyone having similar problems try tap tap app. Unlocks phone through tapping on proximity sensor.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using xda premium
Tapping?
Does the tapping the proximity sensor only work on stock? Never heard of it before. Also...some custom do have wake from volume buttons too.
I have stock rom but it doesn't work for me.....
I don't know if it works on stock but it doesn't ask for su so I would assume so?
And I used to have a volume button wake setting on cyanogenmod and villain but I'm using ice cool zombie or whatever it's called and it doesn't have anything like that.
And to the guy who said it doesn't work on stock- you are double tapping it aren't you? Takes a while to get the hang of it.

Hi, I would like some help. Well I think there is something wrong with the camera. The camera seems to be giving off pink images. Is there any reason why its like acting like that.
Try start camera and go into settings and change whitebalance to auto
Or in the same settings set everything to 0 in adjustment or pick the one in buttom that says something about reset to standart

If it is more bad than it is from new, it can be dust in speaker, very often metal dust. Try clean it with an magnet, not a very strong one. Just drive it over the speaker area a few times. If it is not more bad than stock then I do not know what to do unfortunately. Also if it is more bad than stock perhaps speaker is damaged and need to be replaced?

Try wipe everything and reflash the rom and delete spirit FM with a root uninstaller, or try aokp rom.

If you experienced black screen during incoming call just install this application from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsIm5vdnVtLmluY2VwdHVtLnByb3hpbWl0eSJd
Please take into consideration that this is tested on HTC Sensation XL but theoretically can be used for other ROMs as well. I personally did not try the other ROMs. But for Sensation XL non official AOKP ROM I did test and it worked very well.
Instruction:
1. Download from the Play store
2. Activate the application with the tick inside the app
3. Tick the "only during call"
4. That's all.
If I helped you you can tell me thank you and write of course to the developer in Google Play thank you for the good app that solved the black screen problem.
Thanx.. I was looking fix it..

You are welcome. And this is not only really good fix for the black screen during calls but also this app has
1. Wave options
2. Wake up with touching proximity sensor.
And many more features. You have to take a look at this app for sure. The developer is very friendly and adds up features you request for. i requested the feature for call black screen solving and got it.
It works great.. Regards from turkey.

Welcome. Make sure to spread the word. As this is made especially for our phone HTC Sensation XL that this black screen will go away. And also make sure to tell the developer thank you marking him with stars. He is very good developer. Without any money did for us all the job that nobody could do before for our phone.
I had a problem with black screen during the call and I tried this app but it didn't work for me.
My proximity sensor had some dust and when I've managed to clean it by lifting the screen little bit and blowing compressed air... so if the app isn't the solution my advice is to look closer at the proximity sensor... Cheers
thank's

Invito dal mio super HTC One M7
disable proximity sensor for rooted devices
go to system > build.prop
add following line.
gsm.proximity.enable = false
this only works with ICS i guess..it didn't work on JB
Try to flash killjoy...
