If you experienced black screen during incoming call just install this application from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsIm5vdnVtLmluY2VwdHVtLnByb3hpbWl0eSJd
Please take into consideration that this is tested on HTC Sensation XL but theoretically can be used for other ROMs as well. I personally did not try the other ROMs. But for Sensation XL non official AOKP ROM I did test and it worked very well.
Instruction:
1. Download from the Play store
2. Activate the application with the tick inside the app
3. Tick the "only during call"
4. That's all.
If I helped you you can tell me thank you and write of course to the developer in Google Play thank you for the good app that solved the black screen problem.
Thanx.. I was looking fix it..

You are welcome. And this is not only really good fix for the black screen during calls but also this app has
1. Wave options
2. Wake up with touching proximity sensor.
And many more features. You have to take a look at this app for sure. The developer is very friendly and adds up features you request for. i requested the feature for call black screen solving and got it.
It works great.. Regards from turkey.

Welcome. Make sure to spread the word. As this is made especially for our phone HTC Sensation XL that this black screen will go away. And also make sure to tell the developer thank you marking him with stars. He is very good developer. Without any money did for us all the job that nobody could do before for our phone.
I had a problem with black screen during the call and I tried this app but it didn't work for me.
My proximity sensor had some dust and when I've managed to clean it by lifting the screen little bit and blowing compressed air... so if the app isn't the solution my advice is to look closer at the proximity sensor... Cheers
thank's

Any fix for the backlight button problem ???
The ROM is the best one yet would be perfect if the backlight button problem was fixed.
Thanks in advance..

I can say that a partial fix is available.
Scan through the Virtuous unity thread and a partial fix has been posted.
The backlights are ON when you are in a dimly lit place.. If you are in bright lights, the backlights won't turn on.
Looks like the backlights are being controlled by the ambient light sensor.
Even I am awaiting a fix.
Thanks kimifan316 lets hope there is a permanant fix soon, the ROM I have installed ( virtuous unity 2.35.0 ) is fast stable and more reliable only downfall is the silly backlight button prob lol

Still waiting for the backlights on. But in diypda.com, a China website, some guys use this rom and fix this problem, what a pity, he haven't give the information about how to fix it. From the words, it means that image of screen off is conflict with backlights.

Does anyone else experience this? Try taking a photograph of a piece of white paper. My photos end up with a pink/redish sphere in the middle of the photo. Nothing in the camera settings that I've tried fixes it.
I know there are other phones that had this issue, but is there any way to fix it?

I'm on the xda app, ****.
If you would have read any of the thread from CyanogenMod you would know that it's an ongoing problem with Cyanogen mod and any aosp roms as the drivers are not released for the HTC internal camera. Switching to a sense based rom will remove this error.
You can press the thanks button now.

And, good news, nik is working with huazvi with the fix, and hopefully nik's new rom will be available soon.
Just give them some times, they surely will surprise us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big tnks to huazvi for making this fix
original post here: http://bbs.joyrom.com/thread-13764-1-1.html
link:http://115.com/file/bev9svq6#camera.zip
click the 2nd button from the left
no need to wipe, flash from recovery.
more info:
huazvi says this is the raw version which can fix the camera fc problem when under 800pxl, and after he finishes his final exam, he will try to improve the quality of the camera.
@Nik
1.pls check out this fix, this may do a little help for making your rom perfect.
2.there is another semi-fix, links here:http://bbs.joyrom.com/thread-13573-1-1.html
huazvi said the problem may due to the property of the photos, he suggested to delete the code "setparameters" to fix camera fc, but this will cause flash fc and camera recorder fc. well, i don't under stand what does he mean..i hope you can.
Just tried this fix in TSM UKB and it works flawlessly in both camera (8M) and camcorder (720p).
One thing I noticed is that this camera (or old unfixed version) will crash if I enable face detection AND when the camera is trying to focus someone's face. I guess the code for face detection is not working well in our phone. So if you're experiencing camera crash, try disabling face detection.
Thanks
it works but there is an issue with the shutter sound >> it persist even when i turned it off
I just opened the zip and installed the apk
And it works

There's another issue with current Camera app. The touch to focus function doesn't work well in close range. Try to focus something within 1 feet. You'll hear the sound the phone is trying to focus but the screen doesn't focus and give you a sharp image. But if you hit the shutter button, the resulting image is sharp and correctly focused.
great job

New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well
