Hi guys, can anyone advice me on how to fix the HHB in ICS Hacksung? they said flash the modem.bin only for one more time, and someone gave me this link http://soggycashew.weebly.com/cm7miui--ics-modems.html which is the link to all the available modem.bin for ICS, but its written in CM7, I thought ICS is CM9? even if those modem are compatible, which one is it for Hacksung's ICS? there are so many of them, and when I try to extract the Hacksung's ICS winzip file ( the one you put inside the phone and flash it with CWM ) , theres a modem.bin file in it, and I thought extracting it and putting only the modem.bin in my SGS and flash it with CWM, but I did not dare since Im not sure of it, can anyone guide me? will thank anyone for it!
Just go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158783, grab some modem (dunno which one, read the thread and find a clue for a modem to your country, I have used jvu/jq1 in Finland without problems), transfer it to your int. sdcard and flash through CWM (no unpacking whatsoever).

There is actually a file for cm7 that supposedly fixes this bug. I heard people have had success with this file on is to. Just need to find the file name and I'll get back to you.
Update the like is hhb_test2.zip. Search on Google and following the cm link. The first post has a link to Google code to download the file.

Yeah, IIRC that was posted to CM9 thread by pawitp also. Afaik it had helped lots of people. And also using Spirit Fm radio app can cause problems..at least in CM9 someones have reported simmering like that..
I could upload it here but it isn't possible with tapatalk

There seem to be more and more of us appearing in XDA, and on the streets of Tel Aviv the Galaxy S is appearing almost as often as the iPhone these days...so perhaps it is time for an Israeli thread (similar to the Indian one) where we can share tips and experiences dealing with Pelephone, Cellcom and Orange.
Post and say hello...hopefully we will see 2.3.3 officially here soon so exciting times ahead.
If you are looking for something new to try while we wait, Simone101's Simply Galaxy ROM, based on 2.2.1 features a multi CSC just for Israeli users, so check it out. Always good to support devs who support our own little corner of the Android community.
Haide!
going on to have a big community
Does anyone have a flashable zip file of Pelephone's JJJP3 modem?
Thanks, I need it to be eligible for the Kies upgrade, if and when it arrives.

I did, they just have the Pelephone firmware as a single tar. All I want is the modem.
the pelephone tar there is not working for me :S....
extract from the tar the modem.bin file
go to romkitchen make an update.zip that have just modem...
paste the modem from the tar to the folder and compress it to zip and flash it through CWM...
and i'm not sure that will help you...

Hmm..that sounds reasonable. If I flash it and it is a bum file in the end, can I just reflash another modem afterwards?
ofcourse... first make a backup...
if you try the a modem from the rom kitchen than change the modem.bin inside and flash it again... just for checking...
i didn't try to change the modem.bin but I flashed modem that i downloaded from the romkitchen...

Excellent....I had downloaded the big single file and then made my own flashable modem, just in case...but it is always good to know I can flash back to vanilla stock if I need to.
If you ever need a flashable multi CSC file for all Israeli providers, check out Simone101's Simply ROM thread, he was kind enough to make one for us.

Some custom ROMS are beginning to appear got 2.3.3, and of course the leaked pre-final stock, but no sign of the official release by Samsung. The new rumor is mid april, maybe.
All I know is I am going to stay with 2.2.1 until the official rom is released, has had time to mature and been put through it's paces by the XDA devs.
Any Israeli user get a kies update yet?

Hello guys! Hope someone can help me:
I've got some trouble trying to flash BOCA RC1 on my P1000N tablet.
I get get.prop errors with "status 7" when trying to flash via CWM.
Followed all the directions i got from Magrathea's site and the same error always appear.
Using latest HumberOS kernel with EXT4 active and every other recomendation! (Can't download overcome's kernel from instruction because overcome's p1000 section won't open at all, but tried overcome 4.0.0 and the same error!)
What am I missing?
Thx for the help!
First, Replace the kernel in the zip file (zImage). with the Humberos Kernel (BOCA RC1) for P1000N.
see here for the kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124224&page=49
Credits to Diz and Humberos.
then, edit the build.prop in the tab, using a root file explorer, or adb. changue the model number string to: P1000, only delete the "N" letter.
I was having the same problems.
Remember to changue the modem if phone is not working.
Thanks rafaeker19.
Could you tell me from where did you download the BOCA-HumberOS kernel so I can change the zImage inside the tar? Can't find it anywhere...
EDIT: Oh, you already did it! Thanks again!

Lol this is a long way from where i would notice it quickly.
A forum post (on magrathea) or a website contact woulda been quick alos.
But were ever you want to post and get answers at
Each version has proper kernel inside.
Downloaded from same multiupoad link.
But i am now just becoming aware of the error notice.
The problem is i forgot to add your device in the updater script.
Or untill i reupload
Try going from humbertos cm7 straight to boca.

Sorry but, I thought I was failing in some part and didn't want to bother you in magratheas forum or something like that...
And it was very, very mean from your part to forget us, the P1000N users! But I forgive you!
Thanks!
EDIT: Seems it now updated just fine following rafaeker19's help!
I was getting the same error on what I think is just a standard p1000 using a number of different kernels, in the end I just gave up and decided to stick with stock. XD
Yo, guys! Is it possible to repack latest updates with new kernel with nb0 file packaging format so an update could be done with power button, volume up from a designated folder... sort of

No, I do not want stock. Asking for a way to get around SUT LR by having an universal, windows independat format to flash the phone. IMHO dev roms are windows dependent and by using fb0 type dev roms you would get around SUT LR and flash directly in the phone. As with latest roms with new kernel.

Thanks! Now, this is very possitive! Is it possible to extract the zips you offer and make these nb0's or is it due to when you build them? Or maybe to make a most necessary nb0 as a primary compatabiliy flash? The interest I have in this comes from my interest and how I look on open source, no one should be dependent of having Microsoft Windows installed on their comupter, this way we/ you also support people in the third world where Ubuntu or other community software is chosen. Again, thanks for you effort in dealing with this Q and hope to see a nb0 soon!
Sent from my U9000 using XDA
Sorry if I understood otherwise but you are very keen to gave nb0 which will make you dependent on Microsoft to flash them or you'll have to flash them from stock recovery whereas the current format zip can be flashed from CWM and not restricted to Windows, more clarification on this subject will be welcome
For pack and unpack nb0 firmware files i'm use n0-utils.jar
Google in help!
Problem solved.

Hi,
First of all I am posting here instead of in the associated developers section because I'm not allowed to as a new user.
I'm using [jRO03C] OFICIAL ANDROID 4.1.1 (JELLY BEAN) GNEX STOCK ROM (16/07/12)
Wiped and installed,
everything working (including google now) but making phonecalls is very iffy.
Sometimes it works, sometimes I get garbled audio and sometimes the call connects but I cannot hear the other end.
applied latest SP2 with 240DPI patch. still the same issue
SGS i9000
Tmobile UK
Many thanks, rom is outstanding otherwise!
Try to reflash your modem. If you don't have a seperate modem zip get one from siky's modem thread in development section and flash it. I have had same issues. Each time I flash JB my modem seems to get trashed.

I think you have severely misunderstood the directions.
One does not simply flash a ICS ROM from any other version.
Why won't LG Flash tool work for you?

If it's asking for login, you have to do step 2 from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17177547&postcount=2
2.Extract "file.zip" and put "LGFlashTool.exe" to location where you installed "Setup_LGFlashTool_1.1.zip" (default: C:\LG\LGFlashTool\)
This replaces the orginal installed LGFlashTool with the special version from file.zip
Umm ...can you just upload the final file you used with cwm recovery?
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda app-developers app
It doesn't work like that. You CANNOT flash an ICS build from froyo or gingerbread. You MUST run the LG Flash tool following the steps provided in the other sections to the T. If you aren't very comfortable with doing this stuff yourself I would advise you to remain on Gingerbread. You will most likely end up with a bricked / worthless phone if something does go wrong and you don't know how to get it back. I the thrill development section you will find a very lengthy and discussed guide on upgrading. As I said though, this is at your own risk and there is no possible way for us to upload anything for you to flash. You connect your phone and flash ICS using the LG FLASH tool.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
wait....i was able to install 10 different zip updates....such as prometheus, thriller, etc. is there a way to get the ICS rar file like that?
No. That's what I'm saying. You can flash gingerbread ROMs on gingerbread all day long, but you cannot flash an ICS ROM while you are on gingerbread. Especially this phone. The ICS build is ported from the Korean model of this phone and has different partition sizes than a gingerbread/froyo ROM would need for the thrill. LG Flash tool is the only way to get ICS on this phone. You must first flash XBSALL's ICS build with LG Flash tool on your PC. From there you can root and install recovery and flash other custom ICS ROMs, but not until you first flash on your PC using the guides in the Optimus 3D Development forum.
The only reason I'm taking the time to re-explain this to you is to prevent you from flashing an ICS ROM and possibly bricking your phone. Its pretty buggy still and not something a novice user should attempt. I spent at least 3 1/2 hours in a panic trying to fix my phone after flashing ICS over with LG Flash tool exactly as I was supposed to. It doesn't "just work", you may have to work for it.
