[Q] Problems with recovery - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Hey there. I've searched all over the place but haven't actually found an answer to this question.
I unlocked the bootloader of my Bell Raider via the HTCDev unlock site. everything went fine, but when I went to try and load the recovery file PH39IMG.zip, I keep getting an error:
Model ID Incorrect!
Update Fail!
Press Power to reboot.
While the bootloader is searching the PH39IMG.zip file, it says No Image Present before it comes back with the error
In HBOOT it says
***UNLOCKED***

I've tried to run supertools.exe but it doesn't seem to do anything and now going through Terminal (mac) or CMD prompt on PC my computer can't find the device.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Never Mind. Figured it out. Finally got Terminal to recognize it and flashed the recovery file from there. SD card just wasn't working.

Help! Bricked? My Incredible S

I was trying to root my Incredible S and was in the process of installing a new ROM on it and the rom got half way through and gave me an error saying that I couldn't install it on my device. Now I can only access the Fastboot screen and nothing else. (I cannot boot Android).
At the top my phone says:

I don't have Clockwork Recovery Installed ( I thought I did but forgot to install it ) and I can't access adb as I can't boot android but I can use fastboot.
I have tried using cmd in windows to rewrite the CID which hasn't worked, none of the ROMs I've found online have worked (same error (Customer Identity) and yeah, I'm pretty stuck here.
If I had a Rom in zip format I could upgrade the OS through fastboot which could solve my problem but I can't find any on the net.
Can anyone help me out here??

You have relocked your bootloader for some reason. You can unlock it again in fastboot by reflashing your unlock token that you got from HTC.
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin

[Q] Crash after RUU update

Hi,
so I was using on my Incredible S Cyanogenmod, and I tried to RUU update.
Now I only get the splash white screen with HTC letters in green.
I can't acces to anything else but Fastboot and HBOOT.
No recovery, no factory reset, no adb.
I tried few times to fastboot and put update.zip and i get the errors:
"Archive does not contain "android-info.txt", "android-product.txt"
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt"
When I try to put boot.img and recovery img, I get no error, but still not working.
If I redo RUU, the screen goes black with HTC in gray. At the end of RUU, I always get error.
Tried AndroidFlasher, still bugging.

You will not be able to flash an official RUU until you remove the Revolutionary S-OFF bootloader. In other words you need to return to S-ON before you can flash a RUU.

first of all why are you using the GPe rom.. its not meant for your phone. sprint is CDMA..
2nd did you use a zip to install or an RUU
3rd can you get into recovery or atleast Fastboot. if you can then your phone is fine.
side loaded Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip
was able to get in and turn on usb debuging
have achieved S-OFF
trying to side load the same ROM hoping it takes right with S-OFF this time

can I flash Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip ?
is it valid ROM for my phone ?
as of right now i have not been able to get any rom to flash
it looks like right now the problem is getting a rom that wont reboot every 3 or 4 min.
i also aper to have no network signal.
solved
in order to fix this issue i flashed
Sprint_HTC_One_1.31.651.2_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed "this was to be side loaded" and
firmware-s-off-1.31.651.2 "bootloader does have to be locked this is repeated over and over on every page you look for RUU zips"
this solved both the reboot and network issues.
tools used
TWRP
Hasoon2000's AIO toolkit
go ahead and use this as an example of what not to do i'm not ashamed.
also i have unlocked the bootloader again and all is well ill update you in a couple of days to let you know it stuck.
update
Since my last post I have had no further issues. I hope nobody needs the info in this thread but if you do I hope it is useful

[Q] Stuck in HBOOT/FASTBOOT Menu

Hey guys,
So randomly my phone decided to just turn off (it was just idle on the home screen) and when I booted it back up it was in the Fastboot Menu.
I've tried reboot and even factory reset but neither work they just bring the phone right back to this when I turn it on anyone got any tips for me I'm hoping there's a really simple solution I have naively overlooked.

A few months back I used a RUU to manually update to ICS and everything went fine and I had been running it fine for a long time so I'm not sure if that impacted on this in any way at all.
Anyway since this happened I've tried the old turning it off and on, battery out for an hour, sim out/sd out etc
Also the following:
I've tried running the RUU again but I get error 170 as it gets stuck at "waiting for bootloader" after it reboots the phone at the start of the process
(Tried in all my USB ports, reinstalling drivers/HTC Sync, using original cable)
I tried flashing from my SD card, it reads the zip and asks would you like to update but after I click yes it goes for a few seconds and then says "Partition Update Failed" and prompts me to reboot. (Tried multiple sd's)
I tried to unlock the phone using the HTCDev unlock, however once I get my token and use it to get to the unlock screen on the phone I am unable to select yes my phone simply does not acknowledge the option when I press the power button it instead vibrates a few times and then inevitably I end up selecting the No option after much frustration.
I should probably mention that fastboot lists my device under devices but adb does not.
I would have tried making a goldcard but I currently cannot obtain my CID through adb nor by using readcid.exe with my laptop card reader.
So if anyone could help me out that would be much appreciated as I don't have a warranty on this or anything and HTC support were of exceedingly little help.

Yeah I had a look at that before, I hadn't unlocked my phone before with htcdev but even then when I did try I was able to get my token and run the command and everything perfectly fine and even it takes me to the "Would you like to unlock your phone?" screen on my phone but I am unable to select the yes option and complete the final step which is the frustrating part.

U will need to Downgrade your device from ICS to GB or anything else ...At times it can be Windows 8 ,8.1 issue also ...The driver are still messed up search the forum u will find working way to get driver's work ..Error(170) which means your phone is blank to flash image to boot from or Os for starters..Can u boot in bootloader (Y) then simply working your way via CMD (windows 7 if u can access). It says RELOCKED on your device(Security warning can you paste a screen snap) .
1:- Flash a recovery(if yes skip this)
2:- boot into boot bloader (install any rom via recovery)
3:- flash boot.img manually (fastboot flash boot boot.img)
If it does not work REunlock ur device via htcdev.com
If you were trying to downgrade is HBoot Version (the same issue might happen)
Take stuff's real slow (make sure u do have correct driver installed on your pc )

My bad, I was following posts about this ROM and assumed they were discussing the same phone. But it appears that there isn't a S thread, only an X for this model..
This takes me to a silver HTC logo and hangs there... I have fastboot access, but i cant get ADB to talk to the phone. But with fastboot I can push a new recovery img but still not allowing me into any recovery.
If you cant get into recovery donwload a RUU and get your phone flashed with it from FASTBOOT.

Able to get into Philz recovery and adb sideload zips, but it cant find my sdcard...what a headache this is turning into, and no closer to knowing what the problem was / is.
Tell me can you mount system or get in twrp or something to hold on?

Changed TWRP to CWM which is at least allowing me into recovery mode.
Thinking I will have to transfer the files with another android phone onto the memory and try to install the rom again?
Mounting USB fails, it just makes a sound like I have added a drive to my PC non stop every few seconds, and I cant mount anything. formatted it and it seems to have settled it a bit. But I cant do anything with the storage via USB in Windows. Just updated to the latest clockwork for my model and still no success...
With latest version I cant even sideload at the moment.

Ok, sorted that out, apparently the drivers were having issues, and when I manually picked them I became able to communicate with the phone again like normal. This is like hour 8 of the upgrade so far...
Assuming my firmware is also outdated, and from my searching I havent found an easy way to update my hboot and others without flashing a RUU Rom from T-Mobile, any alternatives to doing that?
Pretty sure I killed it. Downloaded the latest RUU from T-Mobile, after relocking the bootloader and turning S-on, it ran fine, completed, rebooted the phone and now its totally dead. No charge light, doesnt turn on at all. And I was just thinking to myself how hard it is to brick a phone since I have yet to kill one with all of my misadventures....oops. We'll see what happens..
Had you read the HTC One S forum, you would have found out that this particular phone can get hard bricked up S-OFF with SuperCID and then a RUU update is ran.
