First of all I want to apologize if this question has already been answered.
But here's my problem: During calls the other person complains everytime that there is a lot of noise coming from me.
At the moment I'm using ICS AOKP Build 23, but I already tested with Stock JVU and the same thing happens. Also I already tried changing modem to JVT and the problem persists.
Does anyone have the same issue? Can I solve it or do you think it's a hardware problem?

sort of the same problem here too, other person hears me in "waves" like getting closer or further to the mic, also while on the street the mic seems to pick up too much ambient noise and the other person can barely hear me over the noise.

Sorry for answering only now...
I don't know what happened but suddenly the problem disappeared!
It happened in several ROM's but lately with all the ICS ROM's it doesn't happen!

So when i make calls i hear a buzzing or cracking noise from the earpeace but it doesnt distort the call quality or the sound of the other person
its just making the noise all the time and its annoying, when i first got the phone it was there and then i returned it and they said they replaced the speaker and it got quieter but now it sort of is coming back
closest i can come to describing it is that sound that you speakers make when someone(or yourself) is getting a call or something

It's probably due to your kernel.
Did you try to change it ?
same with 3 different roms and 3 different kernels :/
Have the same problem. It's not a ROM/kernel issue afaik as I'always trying out different stuff and the problem has been consistent

Whenever I talk to someone with earphones on, they complain me about getting lot of noise but I can hear them fine and if I talk without earphones they can hear me fine as well. They describe noise as - when you have phone close to tv or car radio and someone calls radio speakers emits kind of tutututuuututu sound.
Has anyone observed same problem and any solution ? I am on stock ICS ROM. I thought to ask here first before asking SAMSUNG on it.

just send it... possibly a hardware issue.. i have read threads about such issues and mainly turns out to be an improper installation of mic
I have a big problem and I need some help. Out of nowhere, I have problems during calls - making and receiving. I answer and there's no voice for both me and the person making the call. When it works, 2 out of 5 times maybe, the person calling me can hear their own voice doubled, which also did not happen before the problem appeared. This also happens when I try to make a phone call - it makes the call but there's no ringing sound and if the other person answers they don't hear me.
This happened while running a JB MIUI ROM. I flashed HellyBean and the same. Wiped and flashed CM 10.1 and the problem persists throughout ROMs. I'm thinking it's a hardware problem? Has anyone encountered this or has any suggestions?
Not sure, but the first thing to always check is your modem.
Hello guys, I have a weird issue and maybe someone can help me. I have a Z3 compact and every time my girlfriend calls me, the call is muted, she says she can hear me but I don't hear anything, as if the phone is not on a call. She says it only happens when she calls me and funny enough, I receive calls normally from any other number.
I've tried disabling all the call improvements, but the problem persists. I have to hang up and then call her for the phone to work properly. I've done a search here and on Sony's forum and came up with nothing.
She has a Z1c by the way.
What do yo guys think?

My problem is the opposite. I hear the person perfectly but they can't hear me. Hanging up and calling again usually solves it.

My microphone stoped working. I can make calls and everything, but other side can't hear me. They hear only static noise. Has anyone had experience with this? I would appreciate any help.

Try making a recording with your phone, then play it back - if you hear your voice clearly, then it's not your microphone that's at fault, it's something else, like a new/updated app or ROM (if you do a lot of flashing of ROMS).
I already do that,
there is no voice, it is static noise.
I also have the same issue. I have a backup device so haven't actually bothered with the issue but I have a feeling it's a software bug. I have posted the issue on this forum but didn't get any help
