OK, I rooted & Gingervolted my Revolution with excellent help through this forum. Only nagging issue I have is that when I go to Phone & press the "Voicemail" button (looks like reel to reel", I get an error message "Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I can call my number & get my voicemail, had the "reel to reel" symbol in the upper notification bar telling me I had VM... Went to "Phone" & tried the menu button, no love there... Any ideas?
Ed
It's because the Voicemail app was deleted when you installed GingerVolt.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1456454
Try that.
I'm downloading it now & will give it a run in the morning (when I'm sober....).
Thank you,
Ed
that button is for Visual Voicemail which MT purposely took out of the GingerVolt ROM..

+1. The stock app installer will not help, for the reason drt stated.

This is the regular voicemail button. I had used it numerous times.

To get to your voicemail from the phone, just press and hold on the number 1.
Hmmm.... I thought it was the regular VM button. I guess I'll try the #1 button & see. Again, thanks for the help for a newb....

So I tried to use a 320x480 version of swype on my vogue and it registers the taping of keys, but not the swipes. I'm assuming it's part of the double touch/ ****ty screen on the vogue, but does anyone have a working version? I've heard and seen that it's the new way to text... so yeah any ideas or help would be great
Was working great for me, check the nexus one themes and apps thread for the themed swipe versions. They install and swype just fine.

I was using a different one posted by jamezelle, but I uninstalled that and used the one scotter posted and that one shows up in the settings, but does not display the keyboard when I go to text... The other one did show up, it just didn't register my swipes:/ I'm using Myns Warm Donut... if that means anything...

Do a hold tap on the text input field, select input method, and choose swype.
Make sure its enabled in your settings.
Those are the steps I took and it worked fine for me.
Yup I just had to hold and change the input. Works great! Thanks.
Is it possible to change the UI on the MMS app so that I can add a button on the top left corner that will be linked to the conversation list. Its annoying to press 3 buttons just to go back to the conversation rather than have a link that's always there like the iphone's MMS app
Have you tried 3rd party apps like handcent, chomp sms, or Go SMS pro?
I'm not really sure what you mean, so I can't say whether these apps will do it or not.

Hi guys
I just upgraded my HTC One to Android 4.4.3 with Sense 6 using a custom rom (MaximusHD 42.0.0).
When I recieve a text message, I naturally see a notification of this on my lockscreen (see picture).
If I tap on the notification, nothing happens, only for the visual representation that I pressed it (colors change a bit).
I would assume that the message app would open when I tap the notification.
If I remember correctly, the correct behaviour was available in Sense 5/5.5
Could this be a mistake in the custom rom or just an overal feature missing from Sense 6?
It's really stupid to unlock the phone + slide down the notification center and press the notification.

It's sense 6 feature. You can slide down in order to get that rectangle and then click on message and it will open. For notification bar you don't need to unlock your phone. Just pull down whith screen on

Thanks!
It works now, but it's pretty weird and inconvenient if you don't know that it works that way.
Anyway, thanks man!

I have been trying out some custom ROMs on my HTC Desire 510. Voicemail notifications seem to no longer work. I am currently trying out RaptorRom 1.2. Anybody have any advice on getting the voicemail notifications working again? Thanks!

I wish I could help you out. I'm on Boost Mobile, but I'm sure we both use the same Sprint visual voicemail. I deodexed and zipaligned the stock apk, dropped it in /system/priv-app and changed permissions. It opened up, but it did not recognize when I received a voicemail and when I open it, it says, "Please wait" "Verifying your account information, this may take a minute...", and it never verifies it. Hopefully LarryBoyG can direct you to a solution.
Yep, same here. I found Sprint_VVM_T.5.3.0.32.apk online for a different phone but tried it. Installed, opened, but never completed verifying acct and it doesn't receive vmail.
same here can anyone help with this ?

Hi, as above. After updating this really annoying eyedropper icon that if pressed, changes the colour of everything on screen. Mostly It's just in the bleeping way.
What is it and how do I get rid of it?
Thanks,
Zo0

Go to settings then the accessibility section then the text and display section the colour correction shortcut is what you need to turn off
that's the first thing/place I looked but upon further review and getting used to the new interface, the radio button is on a drop-down menu under CC and it says " colour correction shortcut lol "
I guess I was in such a hurry I missed it.
Thank you,
Zo0
