[STOCK FIX] 8/Apr r2: Stock Performance Pack

This download is a performance pack for STOCK ROMs. It should work on all v10 ROMs, but always do a backup in ClockworkMod Recovery first!
This fix pack includes my fix for the LG 'pre-dexopt' issue (seen on ALL stock ROMs to date) as well as the libsqlite patch I created based on the changes in this post.

Yes, you mentioned it's for all V10 versions, so I just wonder why the standalone fix for dexopt need to have different fix for different version.

So no news from those who had reboot issue with tethering and hotspot ?
I'm hesitating because of that...

I did install it finally. Definitly smoother.
But I now have a problem I didn't have before : the known "lockscreen notification" problem : "1 new message" on the lockscreen (not the status bar)...
The bug is known but what seems to be ignored is that it seems to be linked to that patch.

I'm also having trouble with reboot as wifi-tethering is activated.
Everything else seems to be working so far.
It's very fast!!

after applying the pack, i found that the phone sometimes cannot power off. it would simply reboots itself after seemingly goes off.
what could have been wrong?

I also noticed that when batery goes to 0%, instead of powering off it reboots... But I can't remember if it did on stock rom before applying fixes

I had two reboot with it , the first I ever had. i then had a problem with my 3G connectivity ( in fact my switch widget was causing the trouble) , so I restored my system , and I can definitely feel the stock system is slower. I had two reboots too...
Now waiting for 2.3

I have issues with reboot when turning on hotspot teethering. any luck or a fix ?

Apocalypse

Hi can someone help me? Is the apocalypse buggy or do i need to at least reboot it once a day? Its kinda laggy, i have amarulzz script and adreline engine for cm. Its still doesnt make any faster
Edit: in fact, can anyone tell me how to boost up my apocalypse so that it has no more force close and lags?

Wats exactly ur issue?? I am using amarullz script and apoclypse for abt 10 days now ... everything is smooth ...
But i am planning to go back to stock rom with amarullz script ... just hate custom roms now ... hehe maybe the battery life improves on stock rom...

Everything is kinda okay now because i tried OC so its so lag eventhough i only OC to 844. Now its okay. Yeah maybe im changing too the battery life is just a damn. But love apocalypse, its so nice :')

apocalypse rom is really great.. i ve tried few roms (incl unofficial cm9) but i am satisfied with this... nice speed and no hangs or sluggishness..

Yeah you right. I do agree with you +1 but...... The battery life... Not as same as stock rom. I do love this rom anyway, not changing to any other rom unless i find something as nice as....... THE BEASTLY APOCALYPSE !!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA

If you are having lags without OC, then that is unusual man, you have a bad flash, i am using apocalypse with amarullz for 2 weeks now, blazing fast and smooth.
Try reflashing, and flash fresh from odin and then flashing this.
Leave amarullz for a few days and test the rom's performance.
Its a really good rom

Maybe you can try with terminal and write su boost and you can see that terminal is now activated

Ohhhh.... I'm just lazy to do the odin thingy... Can I just re flash from custom stock rom? Plus, i tried play pes12 on the apocalypse but it just lag... Now I'm on xperia s rom, wis to change it because the ui is not my type..

i love apopclypse but i just need good battery life. .. so i am back on stock rom with CF Root. .. anyone can help me plz. .. i am using stock rom and i cant use amarullz script. . it gives bootloops... any solution for that? ??

Its better to flash through odin first, would make sure you don't get any bugs later, you have already tried without it and it wasn't successful.

Isn't Apocalypse missing some essential things? Like turning the mobile internet on/off in the Status Bar?
Or showing contacts that are only on the sim-card?
Or am I the only one who is having these "problems" ?

There are no problems in this rom, its just you are not using the settings menu.
Explore a bit, everything is there. There are settings for everything, try them you will get everything you want.

Okay, I actually found the settings for the status bar.
But I couldn't find settings to show the contacts that are saved on the Simcard (I don't want to copy them to sd-card, or phone or anything).
Also, the SMS-App is not working for me. I'm getting an error message when I try to start the SMS-App. (could not launch the requested activity).
Does anyone know what this is about? I tried to flash it again, and I still got the same error.

Did u even read the first post of the apocalypse's rom?? Its a barebones rom, it does not have the messaging app, or the camera app, or the music app and not even the gallery!!!
You have to put them yourself, whichever app you like get it from the playstore or extract from another rom. There is also a thread in apps section, some apps are there too.
You guys just download the rom and flash it, don't even know what you are flashing, you'll get your phone killed one day due to simple neglect.

Well if its not there in the display options then u will have to import them to phone to see them.
There is also an option for All other contacts in display options, that doesn't shows sim contacts?

maybe it's a silly question but did you try the rom without amarulzz and adrenaline? i mean, to know if it is the rom, the script or the engine that makes your rom laggy. because i've used apocalypse and its very fast by itself and i didnt have any lags

No Data Connection In Browser

Hi Guys!
I'm on Zeus v6.4 and i have a biiig problem
I cannot access any page within the browser! I can, however, use data connection in all other apps that require internet access. With Wifi all works as usual but 3g and edge doesn't work.. dunno' why.. I tried other browsers but it seems that the stock browser isn't the issue.
Maybe somebody can help me out!

have you tried another browser i.e. Chrome?

They all have the same problem, but everything else works.

I was on Zeus 6.4 before and I don't remember having such issues. In fact everything was working just fine. Perhaps you could try re-flashing the from again. Do a clean wipe.

[Q] Hotspot wont start

Hello,
i have provision rom and NOPE kernel (850mhz) and if i try to start hotspot it say turning on and never turn up. So it stuck in turning on state.
Alredy tryed:
Reinstall rom
Reflash kernel
Install external hotspot app (say turned on but nothing happens)
Offcourse reboot phone

I used it, but still dont working. Is possible i installed it wrong? (Just extract files to system/etc/wifi with ES file explorer with root perm)

You have to set correct permissions to these files.

Tried, still wont start (stuck at turning on state). Tried recopy files too. Permissions are set correctly. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with all of my ROMs especially CM10. Please let me know if any fix is there...

(I had the WiFi connection problems using prometheus CM10 kernels -I don't know enough to know why the difference with NOPE)
To get a WiFi hotspot - (I saw someones post in the desire c forums -cant remember who or what thread, but thanks!) to try the Barnacle WiFi tether app:

- You need to enable "Skip wpa_supplicant" in its settings. It does mean however that the hot spot is an unsecured network... I confirmed the hot spot to work with my windows PC.. will try with my nexus 7 later.
I've got "Keep WiFi on during sleep" set to "never" as i like to turn it on/off as required. It reconnects every time. If i leave the WiFi on and put the phone to sleep (i.e it`ll disconnect the WiFi whilst asleep), the WiFi will reconnect fine every time i wake it up. No rebooting required.
Hopefully this is a solution to peeps who want a usable WiFi, and for any devs trying to solve this issue..
BTW thanks all devs for cooking some nice ROMs and Kernels to keep this little phone going. A few months ago I was ready to bin the desire c and the stock slow sense!

edit- WiFi hotspot works fine with my win 7 pc- i can see and connect to the hotspot, but on my nexus 7 2013 i can't see the hot spot at all
edit 2 - Looks like the issue with the nexus 7 is that android devices are not able to connect to ad-hoc wifi networks which is what the barnacle app creates!

Ok gtested, and want to report that the wifi is very slow ( slower than rempuzzle) when we open setting, it say hwa setting fc's , but setting work as well , exept that, the greenify app make battery drain.And touchpall keyboard is too big, switch it from the joyos keyboard.

Hi startracker,i flashed your rom and like it,flashed fix xposed but it say hwa setting fc's.Then go to settings >storage,menu usb storage connection and tick mass storage but i can`t connect to pc.What i do wrong.Thanks.

Hwa will be fixed in next update,but for now if its irritating u then just delete the apk from system

Yes is a little faster, after if you want to make it realy faster, you should make a new kernel with new option ( but it's harder than ported rom )

I dont only port roms i just started with it as a way to get in real development .
One day i will release that too
