My very first theme. This is a port of shiftedx's Minimal Matte. Mixed with some Gingerbread, IceCreamSandwich and another stuffs from everywhere.
If you guys find something weird please tell me and I will fix it as soon as possible.
I recommend to use ClockworkMod recovery as I haven't tested it on AmonRa. Anyways the .zip is signed so it should work too.
How to apply:
1) Boot to recovery
2) Flash cache and dalvik
3) Place Heromate_Floyo_1.3.0_signed.zip and the CMTheme folder inside the CMTheme.zip on the root of your Sdcard.
4) Flash Heromate_Floyo_1.3.0_signed.zip
5) Reboot
6) Go to "Settings/Cyanogenmod/User Interface/Tweak Extras/Select a theme" and select Heromate
7) Reboot
7.x) Customize your Launcher and Wallpaper with the files inside Extras.zip
8) Enjoy
Themed stuff:
Framework (Gb lockscreen, buttons, pulldown bar, notification bar...)
Dialer
Browser (reverted to original Floyo)
Gallery3D (just the icon)
GenieWidget mod from Elelinux's Speedmachine
Phone (just the icon again)
Settings (icons too)
Gingerbread and ICS fonts
Custom dock for Launcher
Extras:
Wallpaper
Custom dock and icons for Launcher
The theme: Heromate
Changelog:
[03/12/2011]
First release
[04/12/2011]
Updated! now the notifications and the pulldown are more darker (see last screenshot). It just changes the framework, if this is your first time and you want the other stuff (dialer, geniewidget...) just flash the update over the theme.
And some screens:
waw
Hey bro thanks! This is cool. I like it!
Congratz, man You've actually done all the small things i think about, but never do xD like setting the meizu dock background in the launcher apk and such
No dude I didn't push the dock to the apk, it's in the Extras folder. But I have to admit I have thought about that too XD
I have the original recovery, how can I install the theme?
Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
The original? Then you cannot possible have installed Floyo 1.3? It should work on both Amon_RA and CWM i guess

BTW I just found out that I'm actually using Floyo 1.3, so why not try some1 else's theme for once xD

I have installed floyo 1.3.0 VLC with original recovery. This rom should be compatible with this theme or not?
Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
The theme shall work, but there's no such thing as "original recovery". Either you have clockworkmod or you have Amon_Ra. It should work anyway
As Habarug says, if you came trought Floyo 1.3.0 VLC you should be on AmonRa or ClockworkMod, which means you can flash the theme freely.
By the way, the theme is updated, see changelog

woah :O do you even got root in the rom it self.
if so install rom manager from the market and then install clockwork recovery from that app. If you do not have root, folow this to install a recovery to get root.

I do not know if that will work if he does not have root itself
This theme is awesome. I will make a few changes to it tomorow and upload the framework for it. I had the idea to make the theme all gray. the music volume the bars. everything and I will also make one that keeps the yelow but make the volume bar yellow to and not green like itis now
But that will come tomorow.
My PC just crashed so I need to fix that before I can do anything at all so it will come later
[/QUOTE]I do not know if that will work if he does not have root itself[/QUOTE]
Surely if he's installing a theme for 1.3.0 Floyo he must have root for him to install the rom anyway

So you are on AmonRa right now? did you flashed the SuperUser addon on Lirasina's rom? I think maybe you are missing that. Anyways to flash a theme you don't need to be root, you can try to flash the zip straight with the instructions on the first post.
I did not understand this step:
3) Place the CMTheme Heromate_Floyo_1.3.0_signed.zip and inside the folder on the root of CMTheme.zip your sdcard.

Two zips. Heromate_Floyo_1.3.0_signed.zip and CMTheme.zip
Put the first zip on your scard as it is.
Put the folder inside the second one on the scard. The one named "CMTheme".
Sorry for posting here, hoping someone take this and post on thread in Developing but i'm pretty new and I can't post there.
I had the system R/W issue on ETaNa with Temasek Kang RC1-89. I tried every solution posted but with no success, but none of the ones that need to repair the /system partition just because if I install it on a fresh formatted partiton I don't find a reason to why my /system would be corrupted.
I "downgrade" my CWM from Touch to 5.0.2.8, then I tryed to install Kernel (without reinstall the ROM) and it works! I can write on system. Stock and OC versions, both with DS.
The only strange think is that "ES File Explorer" did't request for root permissions ("Root Explorer" does as usual) and I need to reinstall it to get it work.
Hoping it helps.
Thanks to MisjudgedTwat for writing "Don't use CWM Touch" on his ROM Install Instructions!
Hi there, I'm using GingerDX V25 with Alfs v8a kernel, and somewhy my wifi doesn't work, just stays on for some seconds, and then it turns off itself. I had same bug on MiniCM7, but I deleted Wpa-supplicant and it solved my problem, but now its not helping. I did full wipe and sleep policy is never Help me please.
If you have problems only with a network, try to configure it manually.
I am not having this problem GDX 25 + alfs08a
My wifi is working fine ::
/data Problem
Try deleting /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf (or similarly named file) with Root Explorer, then reboot. And then try again.
Problem is caused by faulty drivers conflicting with Wifi service. If problem remains, use CWM and factory reset.
This is not unique to GingerDX, but rather is nearly universal on all GB kernels.
--When something doesn't work, just try again. Or switch to MiniCM7/9.--
Last way:
Create an empty text file and replace wpa_supplicant.conf with it.
Place this in the file:
ctrl_interface=tiwlan0
update_config=1
After that, make sure all perms are set (including RWX for all users) and try rebooting.
I had same problem but I'm on different rom mow

Hello mehrzad1363,
I have a maybe somehow strange question for you...
I have tried to odex a de-odexed Samsung 4.0.4 I9100(S2) Rom with your script. It didn't work as expected, highly likely because of wrong bootclasspath. Where can I adjust this in your script? Or maybe you can adjust it, and make a topic about it in S2 section. Many S2 users would appreciate it!
Please send me PM if you need to test...
Thanks in advance for your answer!

Hello Existence
First you can use this Thread for odexing
this odexer for note and i think work this with S2 . but if you get bootloop upload init.rc in root your phone.
for Deodexer i Necessarily get S2 .Because change this method for any app in system and apks in S2 .
Deodexer is the first way in Windows without linux and I do not have access to different phones.

Hi Mehrzad, I'm playing with it as we speak! I changed your odex.sh with bootclasspath for the S2:
Code:
/system/framework/core.jar:/system/framework/bouncycastle.jar:/system/framework/ext.jar:/system/framework/framework.jar:/system/framework/android.policy.jar:/system/framework/services.jar:/system/framework/core-junit.jar
But no boot... :crying:
Will upload my init.rc.. Where can I find this?
Will look for it now!
Edit: Here's my init.rc. Thanks for looking into this!

---------- Post added at 09:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:39 PM ----------
Ok.. I used the odexer from this thread and replaced the odex.sh.
All frameworkfiles went without errors, but then with /system/apps...
A few apps went ok, but then a long list of errors. It started with CWMmanager.apk(Chainfire kernel app)
This is the error: Unable to create /data/local/tmp/tmp.odex: File exists.
That same error I get for all apk's...
I mounted /data in CWM and ofcourse my system apps weren't odexed yet.
Phone is not booting. I think frameworkfiles went ok...
Will try again without the CWMmanager.apk.
You have any suggestions?
---------- Post added at 10:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:56 PM ----------
Update!
I removed the CWMmanager.apk, and now all files were odexed OK. All /system/framework files and all /system/app files, except 1 error for mini-res.apk. So the same apk on the S3, gives an error on the S2.
But the phone is not booting... The phone should be able to boot without mini-res.apk...
So something eslse must be wrong... Will try 1 more time, all over again, and now also without the mini-res.apk.
But I'm afraid... Not...
UPDATE:
Also no boot without the minimode-res.apk. So no errors at all anymore. But also phone it not booting... It's not even building dalvik cache.(The updating apps window, you normally see.)
Any idea? I think we are close...
with this method when bigining error for continus other apk you get problem. you can any apk with error move to other folder and next start odexed.
you can make 1 package installer for cwm and when finish odex rom callback any apk without odexing method. we can use this mod for any android phone (galaxy 9000*amestris* / galaxy note / sensetion xe odexed with this script)

hi,
I'm trying to install gingerbread or the best version on my firmware 2.1 Xperia X8 but I am stuck :
I cant get Xrecovery installed on my X8 as I cannot locate the the folder SDCARD. When I connect my Xperia X8 to my computer a load of folders appear but they are not SDCARD or root etc How do I copy files over to this directory if I cannot locate the correct folders ?
I got a free version of Root folder on my X8 and can see the right folders on my phone there but have been unable to get to them on the PC and thus copy the necessary files over. Any ideas ? Its quite frustrating !
I think I have 2 steps left, copy Xrecovery over and then copy the latest Android over and I should have a better phone.
You should just use FlashTool to root your phone..
I prefer FlashTool because with it you can root, unlock bootloader and flash kernels all-in-one..

well i got the phone rooted. It says so when I run it again and the Super User is installed. So too is busybox. I don't know what Flashtool can do that isnt already done.
However I cannot get to SDCARD folder from my PC ! Some examples on the web just show files being dragged and dropped but I don't have the folders listed.
CtrlAltDelIrl is not really reading your post.
First, you don't have to locate the folder SDCARD. What you see in your computer is the SD card. Later when browsing from your phone and you see the folder SDCARD, what you're actually seeing is a link from within the internal memory of your phone to your card.
Second, just use x8toolbox to install X Recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117100. While you're at it, install also CWM Recovery since all of the recent ROMs need it to be properly installed.

Great, Yes I am stuck at finding the correct folder on my phone. If I can't get access to it via PC I cannot copy files over.
I don't know what X Recovery is or much about x8toolbox . I downloaded a lot of files and they don't do a whole lot. I was looking for a straightforward solution

Thanks very much for the response. Yes it helps. I just see a list of Xperia X8 folders on my PC which don't do what I need.
I can't figure out what I need to do in order to get to the SDCARD or ROOT folder ? The only thing that is similar is hidden system folders in Windows but its so easy just to view hidden folders. I am thinking I have to do something similar to get at my Xperia X8 SDCARD and ROOT folders.
Xrecovery sounds like its the right application to get installed for me. If I got it installed I could put on a new Android operating system. However I first need to get at the correct folders in order to copy XRecovery over.
Any one have any ideas ?

i got ginger dx copied over to the sdcard and launched it. It looks like it froze mid way through the boot up with nothing happening from a graphical point of view (it started with lots of stars moving around).
I tried doing a restore but it says nothing was found. What should I do it with ?
trying to mount the sdcard from the phone results in "Unable ot open ums lunfile"
Is there some way I can restore the phone and try coping over the GingerDX v28b again without losing all data
i had to delete all my data but got GingerDX to work. It feels a lot better than the 2.1 Android on the phone
if you think gingerbread is nice, try ics it's......wow

that's what i've provided
for unlocking bootloader i would recommend flashtool, cause you can't do pretty much wrong and it's easy
(but don't forget to be below 11w29 )
I would like to try ICS but I don't know where I can get it. Some steps outlining where to put etc would be a help. I like gingerbread, its easier to type and the phone seems to work quicker. Although there are a few things :
Using the phone now I can't get into my Wallpapers saved on my SDCARD. It has to exit from pictures and puts up an message that an error occurred and try resetting the SDCARD. How can I do this and does it wipe anything ?
My contacts from my phone chip don't seem to be appearing either, maybe it wiped them or maybe there is some error. Any ideas ?
When using the camera I get the following error :
xperia x8 gingerbread the application camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again

bout 'resetting the sdcard' i think that the phone wants you to format the sdcard, but i've got no idea why... never had that problem...
your contacts were stored in your data-partition, so your full-wipe deleted them, your only chance is that you sync'ed them with the google-servers
and about your camera, i've got no idea never had any problems with it
which version of gingerdx did you flash? (i've had gingerdx a pretty long time too )
---------- Post added at 02:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:46 PM ----------
sorry, just saw that you said v28b
give v25 a try, i like it much more than v28b
i also think that it has a slightly better performance
I am only using Ginger bx a day or so.
I do have contacts left but I can do anything about what it deleted. I use google+ but I don't think it backed anything up.
The thing is that the camera doesn't work either does the picture viewer. To get the background picture changed I had to use Astro. GalleryDx would stay open
as i said, give v25 a try, for me it worked better than v28b
gallerydx is a bit buggy (scrolling aso), you could try a gallery from market or from another rom (or earlier release)
is that an older version ? have you an url where i can download it and follow some steps
I downloaded other apps and they view my pictures ok (my pictures were saved but my numbers werent?) but the GalleryDx app that came with Ginger bx just doesn't work
yes, it's an older version (just better )
and your pics are still there 'cause they were stored on your scdard
