T mobile tab unlocked getting horrible service on att.

Like the title says. T mobile tab flashed over to euro rom to allow phone access.
I put my att sim in and it says att in the notification bar says att but i get little to no service. If it does get edge it dissapears a second later. Could this possibly be because of a bad unlock if that exists.
A side note. I am using a new 4g att sim in the tab would that make a difference

You did not mention if you checked the APN settings. I am not sure if the TMOUS AWS band is the problem on ATT.

Sorry, yes i did check the apn settings. But would the tab still show att if it wasnt unlocked. Maybe my unlock didnt take.

And just to add some info. When i first put my sim in it took a while to get service then it started to junp around frequencies. Edge then gprs then hsdpa and now nothing

You do relize that Edge speeds will probably be all you get for data FYI.

You will not get 3G since att 3G operates at a different frequency than tmobile. However you should be getting edge.

I am having the exact same problem with the unlock ? How did u get it to work exactly

What items should be frozen to prevent Sprint activation popups?

Ive tried the ones posted in other threads and I get constant activation errors.

If the other threads on this didn't help you I have no idea. I've got a Sprint Tab, froze those services and it worked.

I've got the refurb sprint tab from w00t, and it's never once asked me to activate service with sprint.. Maybe because i leave it in airplane mode with wifi on.

Sim question

I am assuming to get a go phone sim to work it has to be from a prepaid smart phone? I had one from a regular phone but it says to insert sim card even after i put in in several times. Any help?

[Q] Question about Atrix hidden menu

Question:
My atrix hd is rooted and well AT&T being them selves locked the "testing" menu. Now I tried one app from the play store but it did the same thing I was doing.
Whats apps get that menu unlocked? I wanted to put my phone in WCDMA only since Im with T-Mobile.

What menu are you talking about?

the test menu that you usually do *#*#4636#*#* and it will bring the "secret menu" up AT&T locked it so i was wondering what apps would help bring it up? I tried the Mexico build but ended up bricking my other atrix.

Try "LTE Setting" in play store.

Carrier sim lock

Ha there.
Is it possible to remove Carrier sim lock on the phone by any mod, rom or app??

No, contact your carrier to request a sim unlock. Most carriers will do this for free, or charge a little amount after your contract is done. If your contact still runs, you will probably need to pay extra.
