How do I link ifonez icons to built in apps?

Hi
I am new to this forum and to HTC. I have set up my new phone with S2UL, Ifonez and Icontact. I have got a number of my apps working fine from Ifonez but I cant seem to find the files or commnads to load Windows Mobile 6 built in applications such as the following
Communication Manager
Task Manager
Programmes.
I have been searching through Google and these forums in order to find out but cant seem to find anything, so sorry if this is an obvious question.
I am also using Icontact Burt edition which is mostly working fine. However I am finding one or two contacts are displaying underneath the top bar so that I cannot really make out the entry. I only discovered it by searching for an entry that I knew was there but couldn't see in the list. Icontact seems to display a screen at a time rather than a continuous list so I am finding it difficult to see who these entries relate to. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

If I understand this correctly I create a text file with the appropriate code in it and then rename the file with the extension lnk. Then I point one of ifonez launch icons towards this file. Is that correct?
If it is I still cant seem to see a code for Communication Manager or to open the Programs folder. Have I misunderstood?

You would simply make a .txt file with the "data" of the thing you want to link to, save the file, and then change the extension of the file from .txt to .lnk.
For example, to create a shortcut to Settings>System>Memory>Main, you would make a text document with this in it:
20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4
Save the file as "Memory", and then use a file explorer/manager to change the extension from "Memory.txt" to "Memory.lnk"
The link to the Comm Manager is: 39#"\Windows\CommManager.exe"
The link to the Programs folder [in the Start Menu] is 40#"Windows\Start Menu\Programs\"

Installing icons on CM3.9.7

I installed Smorg v1.4 (full version with ROM) on my phone. Also downloaded the extra icons to have everything match. I was just wondering how you are supposed to install them the correct way. I found if I extract them and place them where ever, I can use them in better cut. I don't like it however that better cut will pull up all my other pictures as well. A while back I downloaded the aero icon pack from the market, I was just wondering if I took the .zip file with the icons and changed it to .apk can I anstall them that way (I really don't think that will work)?
Basically what is the correct way to install the icons (I want them to appear in the icon pack using better cut)?

That really doesn't help. I don't want to pull apart my ROM, replace the png files, resign, and update.
All I want is to use the icons posted with the Smorg v1.4 ROM using bettercut. I wanted them to come up in the icon pack, so I wouldn't have to filter out all the other nonsense pictures that take forever to upload anyway.
Take the time to either read my post, or read the post you suggested, before you post "try the search"
(for the record, I did search. I don't think it turned out too well as it would take forever to go through every topic that came up, especially when most of them don't seem to apply, they just match certain key words)

Anybody have some answers that are useful?

I'm not sure how he has them packaged (at work, can't download) but look inside the zip to see if he zipped apk file (if you see only one file inside the zip named something.apk then he zipped it and you will need to unzip using winrar, zip7 or something like that) or if he renamed it to zip (if you see number of files inluding pics, and folders and xml etc etc then you will need to rename it to apk). From there, just install it like you would any file and use it in bettercut.
Alternative way: I've notice there's Smorg icon pack in the market... download and install that, should be the same thing

Thank you so much, I swear I searched the market for icon packs to advoid all of this. That is exactly what I was looking for. It just makes it so easy to change the icons through bettercut without browsing through every single picture on my phone.

I installed an app from a user here called rock alarm, it put a font into \windows\fonts - facebook and everything now use it, though everything is set up correct to use system fonts in registry and i cant delete the font, how do i get around this? It says in use, though i kill everything on task manager and still cant, am loosing the will to live

cheers for the quick reply, have been using it but couldnt delete the file as in use, am a microsoft engineer and though in my mind i shouldnt have been able to do it, was able to rename the fonts folder to fontsbak, soft reset and as was diff name windows ignored it could then delete it!! 3 hours i been at this..... on a win 7 / xp etc system it would not have allowed you to rename the folder while inuse.... wierd lol!!

[Q] P7 - Chinese characters displayed for special characters

I dont know if you have the issue but some characters arent properly displayed, displaying chinese characters instead.
For example, i have Motörhead music and the ö is displayed incorrectly.
I see the folder correctly in the file managers (ES Explorer, Root Explorer, etc...) but not in the music apps like player Pro or the music app.
Then Im looking for to try a new font, maybe is a mapping problem, but as the themes arent available, im not able to download a new font.
Did anyone tried to change the font?
Do anyone has this problem?
(Not sure if i have to post here or anywhere else)

Having the same issue on P8max stock.

Set default app to view files

I have searched in every area but can't seem to find how to revert a setting.
There are many types of files in an application and Android Studio can open most of them, but occasionally it asks you what app you want to use to open a file. In this case I wanted to preview a font file and AS offered to open it as a text file. I figured what the heck give it a try. Of course it just displays hieroglyphics.
So the question is HOW to change the application font files (or any file for that matter) is opened with?

Have you tried the Default Programs settings? I believe they're in the Control Panel.
