Hello guys
I have a problem with a device bought for Korea
I can not send SMS with it and also can not make a video call
The model is called Galaxy Note LTE SHV-E-160L
I'll be Happy to remove all the Korean software built into it.
Would love to get ASAP help, it drives me crazy!!

This is my first post here, so i have a few questins...
I have a galaxy tab with android 2.2 (right now no update for 2.3). I want to use skype video call. So the original skype (downloaded from android market) not vorking for video call (black scree, and ony voice and text). So then iw been founded this site ans some modif. skype. Theis version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16618967&postcount=452 support video calling but the screen need to be rotated 90. Tryed evrithing...still same video... The easyest way be to update and flash my phone... but i will loose my warranty (i have ~ 2 years). So my qustion is here someone hava same problem? Maybe fixed?

could u describes what variant of galaxy tab you are using ?
Is it verizon, sprint or the GSM P1000 or any other model.
AFAIK ( as far as i know ) there are official gingerbread update for all variant of galaxy tab so you dont have to worry about avoiding the warranty.
Even you root or customize your TAB, u can revert back to stock easily.
Or u can carry your TAB to the nearest SAMSUNG Service Center to help you to upgrade to gingebread.

i will contact samsung to ask about 2.3 update.
Either wait for the official update of GB or get impatient and load the unofficial update. It works great on Gingerbread and you can even switch cameras while on the call.

And Sadly it is not there for all variant. I have a US T Mobile Glaxy Tab, and starting to believe we will never see the update...
Hi All,
Recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 from Gumtree online. It was only working on o2 network so got at unblocked from a guy at a market stall so that it works on all network sims. It was working fine for about a week but then randomly came up with a message saying "emergency calls only" and I coulnt make or recieve calls or texts even if i changed the sim to o2. The internet was still functioning correctly however.
Called network provider and have been told that there is a bar on it by an insurance company. Tried to get back to the seller but have not been able to contact him. Have reported him but I would just like to know is there any way to unblock this phone at all? Dont want to lose out on all the money spent on it. would it be worth downloading any unblocking applications if the phone has a bar on it?
Please any ideas, comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I want to buy a Tab and use it as a phone and also would like to get sms and internet. Which Tab should I buy and if buy one that is locked to another provider how would I go about finding profrssional help in Los Angeles?
First of all i would like to thank XDA Developers for all the efforts they have exerted to make their forum as one of the best out there.
Secondly, i have been having this problem since i bought the LG Optimus G F180L model from from South Korea and every time i dial a number (live in Bahrain), this dial to Korea or Local option pops up and its kind of annoying thing to do especially for frequent call users.
I tried all methods in Google like disabling auto dial in roaming and data roaming. I even rooted the device and updated it to 4.1.2 jelly bean but the problem persisted.
I really love this phone its an amazing and must have device, and that's why i'm so keen to find a solution to this issue, which i'm quite sure that is not difficult for our dear XDA Developers to find.

I've the same LG F180L mobile and I'm come from The Netherlands and had the same problem.
Yesterday a was on a site and they wrote that it was possible to install the A10 version off the E975 on a F180.
I did and everything sames to work, I haven't the dial problem anymore and I'm also rid off the Korean apps.
I only must see to get the signal ogf 3g and wifi back, but after I let search for provider it seems to work.
