Droid Bionic and Lapdock questions - Motorola Droid Bionic

Hello,
I just ordered a lapdock 500 from verizon for my bionic and I was wondering if anyone running it on .902 could answer a few of my questions
are you able to access the sd card in the lapdock the bionic as well as the internal memory when its docked?
on .902 do all the extra razr functions work (i.e webcam and other various parts)

SD card slot, front facing camera, VGA out and Ethernet is not compatible with the Bionic on the 500... yet.
There will be an update in the future to support it.

webtop patch install problems
This seems like the most appropriate place to post this question as i cant find anyone else who seems to be going through this... I am installing the webtop patch after i have already successfully completed webtop2sd. I use ADB and follow the commands to apply the patch and everything appears to go through without an issue but when i dock and hit ctrl+alt+t i get "Metacity...There was an error running gnome-terminal no such file or directory" Any thoughts?

Are you running 902?
I have been having the same issue with it.
There was one guy who says he got it working but it always fails for me in the "tar" command
I believe it has something to do with the busy box on 902.
If you figure something out please fill me in.

I am on .902 I am really wanting to get this done so I can move on to creating a swap space on my SD card for webtop.

Webtop

Can someone point out to me where the webtop files are located on the root? I currently have it setup just the way I like it, and have to resetup with each flash, I would like to be able to just copy the entire directory and back it up, I think its all under /usr, but I'm not certain.
Thanks

wierd, tried that and no dice..keep say can't find file
FYI, there's an error in your steps under Powerboost. The folder should be renamed to "UNL3ASH3D" (no quotes), not "Unl3ashed".

Nope, has to be "UNL3ASH3D" (note the second 3).

Yes sir. I just had one text come through where it vibrated, so it's sporadic.
It might not even be this ROM.

In the meantime, i am using contact vibrate... it is kinda neat. You can create custom patterns and change per contact and scenario.
That at least until we take a look at v1.6 and hope it resolves your issue.

Just as a basic test... have you tried the stock app or another messaging app? It might help us determine either what is causing it, or if there is a conflict. Please post your results.

Im using handcent and recived a picture in a message just fine v1.5 you should check your settings perhaps you missed one

I installed a different texting app and still no pics.
Well after many wipes/formats and every thing else I finally have everything working.
I can verify that multiple cache wipes, dalvik wipes and system formats do the job.
I'm not sure exactly how many I done but it was a lot.
I just sit there and wiped, formatted, wipe, format, wipe, format so on and so on and it finally took, I even installed 3 times over and over each other.
The ROM works great.
All the phones might have the same parts and look the same, but for some reason they don't act the same.

lol, handcent is very android donut-esque... lmao
Any way to get battery and data manager back?
Sent from my BIONIC
I did a wipe, format and all that numerous times too hoping that may be the cause for the pix message problem, but no. Still an issue.
I'm back to 10% battery increments after moving the unthrottle folder.
I know this has been reported, but I'm just throwing my hat into the mix.

Dualboot mirage CM7/ics cm9 by racks

Just wondering... I recently got racks dual boot sd card up and running, kinda. The mirage cm7 part works great, the ics boot works great too, but I can't get wifi to work. It's suggested that I use a file explorer to modify a .ini file, all I have to do is change a 1 to a 0. But there is no file explorer baked in. No wifi means no market, so I can't download one. Adb doesn't see my nook when ics is running. So yeah, it's a little frustrating. Everytime I try to post on the thread it tells me I can't, because I'm a new user (over 1 year, but only 4 posts) so I can't post on a development related thread. So if any one can point me to a file explorer that I can install as a zip through recovery, that would be great, or a way to use the terminal app to change the .ini file... If not just think of this a #6.

Bad Dualboot image?
Hi -
On the development forum, in the Dualboot thread, the zipped image file hosted at techerrata.com/browse/nook/racks seems not to be working. I can't unzip with either 7zip or the windows compressed folder app. Could someone please check it?
Also, unfortunately, the 03012012 eyeballer zip seemed to produce a slow, jerky experience relative to the next day's. I know it probably a lot of work getting the directories correct, but do you think you could create a zip from 03022012?
Thanks for any help
I am using Racks' dual boot image with 2/1 updates. Both CM7 and CM9 work fine with WiFi. The BT in CM9 is still not working but it works in CM7. However, I have problem in the Nook Color part. Now I can download books and apps in Nook, but I cannot install apps or update the system.

Someone with knowledge check cheesecake now

I tried most of the servers including the one listed and didn't find an update....I am currently on the 905 update. What version is currently on your phone? Can you post a link to the update?
Someone flash this and try fastboot right away, don't have bunches of people jumping on this and then realize afterwards that you're off the path.
I am on 902. I downloaded it twice but i can't find it stored on my phone.

I believe it downloads either to your cache folder or to your sdcard....someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Yes. It will download to the "Downloads" folder in the cache folder.

Check ur internal memory under download....
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
It downloads to the /cache directory on the root not in any folder. There will be 2 files, the update itself and a .crc file with the same name. You must be rooted to access the /cache directory with a file explorer and remember to select to run it later after downloading. The /cache directory is always wiped by the update after it flashes, so you must get the file first before allowing it to run or it will be deleted.
It does not give the option to install later. I can see it in /cache while it is downloading but when it is done it tries to install and says "could not validate package" then the file disappears from /cache.

From what I read on Droid Hive, it's a useless file - an engineering build that no one can use or install.
This is an Engineering Build of .902. This file is of no use to anyone unless they are running pure stock 902.
The way the file is named and signed this is just a testing version.
I FXZ'd to .902, rooted using Motofail, installed cheesecakev2.apk, downloading it now. It does say "GB to ICS" and "Targa"..why would they name it that if it was really just a maintenance build?
I'll let you know if I can get it installed automatically, stock recovery, rsd lite, or otherwise.
Photo attached for anyone curious.
Or motoflashboot.
I'm really anxious to see how this pans out. I need to get to bed instead of watching this thread and prepping to fxz to 902

[Q] Help Please

I have a Dell Streak 7 WIFI and made a real newbie mistake that I have not made since owning a Moto Droid A855. I did not make a back up of the system while I was tinkering, didn't plan on doing custom roms, and now the unit boots up after a factory data reset but I cannot get it past the language selection. I was removing APK's that I did not need and obviously went to far. I know dumb on my part and I know better. Can anyone help? All of the links to the needed files seem to be gone or dead. Thanks!
I forgot to mention the obvious, 3.2 rooted.
I was able to finally find the package downloads that were unavailable to most of us but the recoveries are not there. Can anyone help?
Download the latest PKG from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dell_Streak_7#Official
rename it update.pkg and save it to an external SD card.
Make sure your tablet is fully charged, boot into recovery mode.
Choose: Software upgrade via update.pkg on SD card
You should be back in business.
Those links are dead but i found the files thanks to TheManii. Problem is the update does not go says it is up to date and I still cannot get past the language selection. I'm thinking I need to push the system image by ADB and see how that goes.
Ok found the files thanks to Manii. Takes the system image, boot image and the restore image and flash them with ADB. Works like a charm.
