Atrix HD and Foxfi

Foxfi is a great program where you can use wifi tethering without root. I have used it before on other devices but with the Atrix HD when I open it and another computer connects to my Wifi signal then the phone reboots.
I have read on another website that 2 other people are having the same problem and was wondering if anyone else is. I sent an email to the developer of Foxfi but haven't received a response.
Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to get this program working without it causing a reboot or if there is another program that works just as well?

No problems here. Why not use the native hotspot functionality. It works very well.

How do you use the native hotspot functionality? Will AT&T detect I'm using the tethering, if I use the native hotspot?

What data plan u have. My 5gig comes with hotspot included ...

I'll have to give that a try. Have to use a tethering app until this device gets rooted. My 3gb data plan doesn't include mobile hotspot.
I still am wondering if anyone else is having problems with the phone rebooting while using foxfi?

I tried foxfi and it also rebooted. when I turn on the native hotspot, it immediately turns it off and stated my plan does not include tethering.

Anyone tried using bluetooth tethering using Foxfi? I would like to use my iPad tethered through Atrix HD. However, if bluetooth tethering is not gonna work, I don't want to jailbreak my iPad.

Hi all I'm here 'cause I've been looking for and I don't know how to wifi tether from my android (SGS3 mini) to an iPhone 3gs. I've had no problem wifi tethering some other android devices and nokias but I got this issue with an iPhone, is something else I have to install to my device? The other person should install something? Isn't this wifi tethering possible? I want to already give a big thank for any suggestions or doubts you clear for me. What can I do?

Shouldn't be an problem, any device can connect to your tether

[Q] Does Wireless Display work?

Hi,
I have a LG TV that, when Wireless Display is turned on on cell phone and Screen Share activated on TV, finds my android cell phone, but can't get connected to.
Does it work?
I'm using CM 10.2

I think that you need to use stock for that... Or search for some screen share for CM.

No wireless display is not supported in our phone. i saw a option in cm10.1 or 10.2 didn't remember correctly but it reboots when we click it

No, as Pradeep said that weirdly enough the option is available in CM but it doesn't work.

Bluetooth tether

l AM looking for help. Mostly just someone who has weeded out the Madness.
I have ASamsung Galaxy Note l0.1 2014 and Gear, I'd like to share my wifi, (NOT wireless Carrier;, e AT&T, Verizon) to my watch via Bluetooth. What App do i use? I've found navy guides forsharing Mobile Data , I've also tried Auto tether and |llama.

Thanks, this basically worked.
It doesnt give me full internet. Most of my apps cant communicate, but i think i saw that as an issue anyways.

make sure you turn on wifi spoofer in settings this works for me but my issue in general is it sucks battery big time whenusing internet connectin

How to use wifi direct on cm11

I recently updated my i8190n to cm11 4.4.2, everythings working fine except for one thing, wifi direct file transfer. i go into the wifi direct setting, and make a connection to another phone(on stock samsung) but there is no option to send files via wifi direct. can anyone please tell me how to share files on cm11 with wifi direct???

WiFi direct isn't working on any of our custom Roms, as far as I know. However, a good substitute is Software Data Cable https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.damiapp.softdatacable, it works like WiFi direct. You'll need to install this on both devices, this app can also transfer files between your Android and PC.

i meant, how do you use it, is it by qr code or ip address?

FTP. It works similar to WiFi direct and Bluetooth. 1 device starts a share network using its own WiFi hotspot, the other picks up the hotspot and joins the network. Then you get a browser to share files at good speed.
This does not use your data. If you're worried about it, you can turn off your mobile network and try it.

is it fater than the app "Fast File Transfer"?
because thats is the same method, and just pairing devices takes a while. there is also another way, see in my guide:

allshare instead wi-fi direct
hi everyone. this is my first post.
i was wondering, allshare could be an alternative for wi-fi direct in order to connect cel with smart tv? in the case the answer is yes, how could i activate or install alshare in my cell?

i'll try air droid and see what happens. this is not a life-or-dead issue to me, but is nice th stuff I got in my cell in the big screen without having to attach cables.
