Is anyone else having issues getting onto samfirmware.
I cant work it out, when i enter my details it sits at logging in and goes no further, i thought it may have been my password so i clicked the forgot password link and requested the new one, but to no avail, same result, i just cant log in at all and so i cant download anything of there.

Same thing is happening to Me ...cant get into the site ...just sits there saying logging in ... please wait ...

Sure your typing the correct username and password? Cause thats whats happen when your typing wrong username and/or password...

If you search the forum, you will find instructions on how to use WIFI rather than a data connection to get past the GMail sign in screen(s).

By "virus" what do you mean? and if so, how do you know it is one, and how'd you get it?
Not looking for spam so I will not email you but you need to be much more specific, or get your son on the thread to explain what he tried to do

so what are you trying to achieve i.e are you trying to just get it to reboot or are you trying to get to the recovery menu???need more info... btw you should've posted this on the Q&A section im just saying since you just barely joined.
Please use thread titles that describe the problem and can actually help someone who takes the time to do a search who might have a similar problem. Your title has zero value to this forum.
Please post in Q&A.

[Q] Renewing g1

The other day I pulled out my original preordered g1 with a broken screen. got on ebay and replaced my screen. I am rooted with an older cyanmod rom. Now I usually dont post because im a good ressarcher. But im lost. Did a full wipe and dont have a network connection to get past gmail set up. All I can tell you s it was firmware 1.5 and higher then rc29. Tried enter reboot enter on android screen. Tried flashing a few things. Says cant find E: /cache/system/command and no such file or directory. Just don't know where to begin. Just want newer/faster rom and overclock. Any help or redirecting would be appreciated. Just thought I could use 1on1 help as it isn't really a general problem. Thanks, gavin.
Doesn't it give you an option to skip the original Google login to get to your main screen?
I'd assume probably not for some odd reason since I'm guessing you'd have figured that out, but if not, use that skip option, then you can Wifi it to do the login etc after that..
Or try this thread...

[Q] [i9001][RESOLVED]Odin stuck in flashing KQB

So a few hours ago, i tried to flash the value pack (XXKQB) ROM on my Galaxy S Plus,it started normally but sort of freezed on ˝setupconnection˝
The phone was still in download mode, and after about 20 minutes of siting there, restarted the phone since nothing was happening, and it´s safe (for now ).
It should look like this, right?(see attachment)

looks like the pic didn´t upload succesfully
I have no idea what you are doing . How did you set up Odin? did it detect your phone? Have you closed all Kies applications? You could post a link to the thread you got the download from... (Did you ask the thread where you got the download from?) Why is there only one file? Is it meant to be like that? (I know some roms can be zipped/tarred so you only need one file but is this that sort of file?)
The list can go on and on. Please provide more information... What is the status of your phone now? Can you boot up to your home screen or are you stuck at soft-brick screen? I ask this because i don't understand what safe means. I would consider a soft brick safe because i know what to do when i have one... Re-flash!
So to that image. I am assuming this is how you set up odin BEFORE you connected your phone. I would suggest tick re-partition, this WILL factory reset your phone. A suggestions not always necessary, read the thread. If you are on GB already then i don't think you need to. Also usually you are still required to have a .pit file. (I haven't flashed via odin in a long time, so things may have changed) Check you don't need one.
Finally sometimes when i flash via odin, it get stuck i think at the same point you do. I have to unplug and take battery out. If i boot up i get two symbols with a line of some sort in the middle. In this case i go back to download mode and re-flash and it flashes correctly this time.
Sorry for the long message its just the more information the better and quicker people can help. Hope i helped, if not please provide as much information as possible

Need help with stucked S7

Hi
I recently tried to root my phone from this guide: devs-lab.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge
I followed the instructions and flashed this file from ODIN:
Samsung_G930x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR
The file transferred ok and when the phone started rebooting it just stopped with a fault message on the screen.
Now the phone is stucked and i can't get contact with Odin. Odin recognizes the phone on the port but i cant flash to the phone.
The only way i have a chance to install on the phone now is with SD-card, because i am able to get to the recovery mode.
But when i try to install new stockware i just get signature failed message.
Does anyone know how i can get out of this mess ? I know its possible to turn of the signature check, but i cant get any options like this in the menu ..... BTW the phone is a G930F
I would really appreciate all help !
Thanks
Tom

Hi,
I dont remember exactly the fault message because my phone has been sent to service. But i will get it back in a couple of days. Then i will tell you the entire message. But is was something about kernel fault....
The service center says i have to replace the main board on the phone which cost almost the same as a new phone....
But i'm sure the main board is not broken...

Blah that's never good. Though I don't always trust things HAVE to be replaced at the hardware level. But it is what it is. Hopefully when you get it back all will be working for you! Unless it was just a bad chip, failing at the same time you were trying to write the new files to memory?

I think I did the same thing when I first got the Phoenix, and did not research and do not turn the OEM Unlock feature on. I messed up things and through a lot of reflashing and panic searching, got mine to come back.
I since have seen others post issues that sound horrible but have been recoverable. We'll help you try to figure it out once you get the phone back.

Hi, i finally got my phone back.
Been trying different things like installing new firmware by using the SD-card. And also by using ADB, since the phone allows me to install software through ADB.
But no matter what i do the phone tells that signature verification failed.
I think one fault i did when installing the twrp custom recovery from ODIN i forgot to press the key combo and it started up with the original bootloader. Then it got stuck with the error screen i told you about.
I have uploaded a picture of the error message below.
If anyone knows how to get by the signature verification test then maby i could be able to install new firmware....
Thanks again, i will be grateful for any tips that could help me !
Best Regards
Tom

Good NEWS !!!!!
I managed to get the phone working again...
What i did was:
Holding the volume down, home and power button at the same time. When the phone went black i plugged in the USB cabel from the computer.
The error message came up 2 - 3 times but i kept holding the buttons.
Eventually it went into download mode and i used ODIN to flash the firmware...
I hope this could solve the problem also for others facing similar issues.
Thanks to BWolf56 who posted in a forum here. His tips fom 2011 .... helped me.
Regards
Tom

Great to hear... Good luck from here on out!
This is a good sign not to listen to tech support. They don't know, or mess with this stuff, as much as us!
Happy flashing and hope no more scares from here on out...
