Hey
My phones volume button is broken.
I can lower the volume but i can not increase it.
So it is very anying when i accidentally lower the volume and then need to go into the menus to put it back up.
I dont like to have apps or shortcuts to easier access those menues etc.
I heard somewhere that i should be able to use the buttons and drag the volume up with my finger.
Tho i cant figure out how.
Anyone?

Hello guys, I'm experiencing a minor issue with my ROM. Sometimes when I reboot, if i tap the volume key on the side after rebooting, the keypad lights will turn on indicating i did tap it, however, the system volume and Ring volume display would not appear on the screen. And after that the phone goes super slow. I tried to hard-reset it once but it's occurring again.
I do know there is a way to adjust Ring volume without that screen, but was wondering is there another way to adjust the System volume without tapping the side buttons?
Thanks
Sounds strange. Which ROM are you using?
You can adjust the volume by tapping on the volume icon in the taskbar.
using dutty V3.6
thanks let me try that now..
thanks i got it.. seems like tapping that works for now, if i got further problem i'll post again
thanks again the_scotsman
Yes, I constantly accidentally hit the volume buttons. Is there an app that can lock them, so they only work after I enable them in the app?
Really? My favorite thing about the phone is that the volume buttons work when the phone sleeps. That drives me insane about every other phone/mp3 player I've used.... having to dig the phone out of my pocket and wake it up just to adjust the volume.
How are you accidentally hitting the volume buttons? Just curious.
One thing I've been wanting to request is a way to make a long-press of the volume buttons be forward/back a track. That'd rule.

Click to collapse
When I go from portrait to landscape, by the time I'm done, I see the volume change window on the screen. I don't even know if I hit the + or the -.
Hi there,
I have 2 quick ones...
1. Is there any way to disable the volume buttons temporarily, so that when i put my phone into a phone holder the volume doesn't go bananas...
2. Is there a way to assign an application to a long keypress of one of the hardware buttons, eg, the home key...
Dont know
Let's see if someone can help?
My HD7 is around 2 years old and the volume rocker buttons are not functioning. I have to use a pin and press it sooo hard then only it works, I know it is strange but that is how it works. Cant press it with my finger. Also the camera quality has gone down.. Any suggestion? can I open it by myself and repair the volume rocker buttons?
Today I found out that the lower half of my volume button was jammed into the phone itself, the top half still sort of works.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how fix this or any replacements to use instead, at the moment I'm thinking of assigning the lock button to turn volume down and use a dt2w kernel instead.
