Tim Hortons cup sizes? - Off-topic

Not sure how many people on this forum are Canadian but after about a year of planning my friends at YEAH! Films have put together some commercials in parody of Tim Hortons. This first one is a spin on the new sizes. If you guys enjoy them, I'll post the rest as they become available.
Large Hard

Hahaha. Good one. And I wish we had more Timmy's in the States. There are like 3 in NYC, but their coffee is SO MUCH BETTER than Starbucks. Actually the Timmy's in NYC tastes like crap. I got it once. I drank it in Canadia and holy ****. Best coffee I ever had.

LMAO!!!
now on the serious side of things...
all these "new" sizes are fake, it's just an optical illusion the actual amount remains the same as the old size large

Haha 10char

LMAO!!!!! XD
Sent from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk

Awesome
Not so sure about the new size being an illusion, As someone who always drank XL before I can say the new XL definitely has more coffee in it

Get Crysis 2 instead. Trust me. You will regret getting Homefront.
If you buy games will they work on your region? I thought games had a region lock like PAL and NTSC?

I don't know a thing about video games but that was a hilarious read!
Homefront is a disgrace
Homefront sucks its has one of those bargain bin story-lines. And when i say bargain bin i mean they reached deep into the bottom of the pale to get the cheapest, easiest and non-action filled game they could find. It literally has excepts from COD like when the tower fall in COD4 when trying to catch zarkiefs son. Graphics are complete garbage Artificial Intelligence sucks and the game engine is under developed you can clearly the boxy path they are walking.
Believe just stick to COD is a lot better, besides COD has stolen everything from games like GoldenEye and Nightfire.

Whoever said about the AI etc. Who carews? It's all about box live bay bee.

The one thing I usually hate about FPS' is the fluidity of the character movements. Like sprinting etc. I feel like nearly all FPS' are all crampy and awkward compared to COD. I can't really explain it.

I took the plunge a few years back and had a three piece suit custom tailored for me. It fits me like a glove, as I haven't expanded or contracted since high school. But it doesn't work for every occasion, because I chose brown polyester, no lie. I look like a banker from the 70s, but I like to think I pull it off.

I've got a tux for xmas work do's, and just bought a 3 piece suit for my wedding this saturday.
£72 from Jacomo with their 25% discount on first orders
i wear a suit everyday for work. I currently own 14 suits (seven summer / seven winter) so i can have two at the dry cleaners every week while rotating through five. Then I buy 2 new suits every 10 months and ditch the oldest. Even though i live in Philly, i have a tailor in NYC who makes them for me. The pricing all depends on materials selected and since i go through them so quickly, I generally get a medium grade. Custom suits are the way to go because a good tailor can hide some little weight changes.
Oh, i also own three tuxes. Not custom, just bought them off the rack but good names like Burberry, Hickey Freeman and Boss. Had them tailored as well...
I love suits! Most of my jobs i've had through the years requires me to wear a suit, so i don't really have a choice. But i love them so it's not a problem.
I wear them for work.

Nexus 7. Thought I was going to hate it.

After coming the new Asus Infinity tablet, and after returning/exchanging my 4th one caused by QC issues, feeling bitter, I thought I'd never (At least until QC is fixed) purchase another Asus tablet again.
Opportunity struck when I was bored and tablet-less, to purchase the Nexus 7 that was on hold from a friend with my name on it. Supposedly I purchased the last Nexus 7 within a 170Mi radius of local stores relative to me, remarked a District Manager of the store.
A shot in the dark, yes, after being through hell with the Infinity.
I absolutely pre-judged this devices 7inch screen, lack of rear camera, lack of ports, etc to justify buying Asus' Flagship latest Transformer tab.
I cant seem to put this damn thing down, I use it constantly, the form-factor is a perfect size and weight, the back feels great to hold. No issues with QC (yet), not a single dead or hot pixel, no screen raising or separation, no creaking or squeaking, this unit feels solid. FYI: My unit is from the 'C8 Serial Number' series.
The biggest issue I have yet are from the bystanders who approach me wherever I seem to go and ask me about my 'iPad Mini' or how did I get an 'iPad Mini'.
Within a 40 minute coffee shop sitting, 7 people approached me asking if it was an 'iPad' mini. I spent twice as long explaining them it's not an iPad Mini, its a Nexus 7, it runs Android OS, etc. Then bombarded by their questioning on why I didn't wait for the iPad Mini and ridiculed as to why I didn't have an iPad yet.
This is my first 'real' Android device, let alone tablet (not counting the Infinity which never left my house, except for the BestBuy exchanges).
I've learned that the confusion of the Nexus 7 for an iOS/Apple is inevitable.
So I raced home and came up with an easy solution... attached are photos.
Yes it's actually easier going with their beliefs of it being an iPad Mini then quickly hiding the device in my bag and watch them try and snap photos from across the room. It also gives me an excuse to quick-pitch the curious that 'they never saw this', and 'we never and cannot talk' which usually does the trick.
A fun game I am enjoying as I await my case to arrive...
Cheers to all the newfound friends and support on here. I'm blessed.

It's doubly funny because it trolls the Apple zombies and a offends the Android fanboys.
Don't you know, Apple invented the 7in formfactor. As soon as they get them out the door in September, they will start legal proceedings against Asus for copying their ideas.
Really, Apple fanboys laughing at you... I think the joke is actually on them...
I love my Nexus7. I bought our first one for the missus - I had a Asus Transformer 10in Android tablet/netbook, but I have since sold that and bought a second Nexus 7 just for me (I could never get on the first one). Both are perfect and both are used CONSTANTLY.
7in tablet is perfect for me, and the spec and price of the Nexus7 are perfect two. I can buy "his and hers" Nexus7 for the price of a single iPad. So who is REALLY the fool?

anyone else flip phones on craigslist?

lol i do.
yesterday i needed some quick cash because of a move im doing and i was short on my energy bill...
so i put my sprint galaxy nexus on craigslist for sale/ trade.
last week i got it new in the box for 150. a deal to me for sure.
i got a bunch of crap offers but eventually someone offered me their epic 4g touch and 100 cash for the gnex.
so we met up at a sprint store and called customer care because the store cannot do active phone swaps and we both went home happy.
right away i listed the phone on craigslist, within a few hours i got a few offers, mostly junk but one was or seemed to be worth while.
a white iphone 4 8gb, with case and charger, even trade. so telling her i was interested i posted the white iphone up on craigslist also forsale/trade before i even had it. i got many offers, a few low balls (lol even 50 dollars with the excuse that its outdated and old and the new iphone will be out this month lol), then a 225.00 offer, a 200 dollar offer, you get the idea. i entertained them all, but one of the guys ended up changing their minds and made a even better offer, he retracted his 200 dollar offer and said he would trade me his mint condition epic 4g touch with case, charger and 100 cash... BINGO lol, i quickly accepted.
how could i loose, i met up with the girl at 615pm to do the swap for my epic touch for her iphone 4, after thats done i wait for the guy who comes at 7 and we call sprint all over again and do another swap, it all works out and i leave with another 100 in cash and the same phone i came in with lol.
so i was tainted with a apple phone for about 10 mins... Lol it wasn't that bad but the screen was hard to adjust to.
anyone else flip on craigs? needless to say i have my epic back up on CL for hopefully another trade or sale.
i already got my epic touch running jellybean and honestly its not too much different then my gnex minus the lte which i dont have yet and the HD screen which is noticeable to me.
Seems kind of immoral to me. It's like abusing Wal-Mart return policies to make a buck. You're using Craigslist outside of its intended use for profit. But you do what you gotta do to make the bills work: I personally would not make a habit of "flipping phones".

lol immoral?
im using a public website that is made for buying, selling, and bartering.
thats exactly what im doing.
im not "abusing" or misusing anything, and its not a mega corporation where im scamming their return policies.
its a buy sell and trade website..
thats exactly what im doing.
in fact there are reality tv shows based on this same thing, that where they use outlets like craigslist, people do it with everything under the sun, from tvs, to cars.
im not ripping anyone off or telling people things that they arent.
im giving people what they want and im getting what i want.
exactly what the website is for.
When you start to talk about morality, you instantly are entering into a subjective paradigm in the philosophical/metaphysical sense. However, I do agree you're in a way taking advantage of peoples lack of knowledge on the tech you're trading. Is this immoral? Depends on how you define it. If both parties are happy and walk away from the deal feeling like their was an equitable exchange, then I personally don't think so. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Now, if you intentionally mislead the other party into believing they're getting a much better offer than they realize for your profit then yes this is, to me, immoral, but I don't think your doing this. It is the reason I believe the majority of advertisements and those working in the field are in some sense immoral, but this is getting off topic.
In short, I haven't done it and for me the amount of time and effort isn't worth the small return.
I didn't mean to imply you're ripping anyone off. I just find it interesting how one can make a buck nowadays. I stress the kind of part because I read about the iphone part and it boggles my mind how people are willing to pay so much for so little. I get that if the needs are met then it's fine. However it boggles me further how people can conclude the iphone 4 and the galaxy s2 phone is of equal value. Galaxy s2 clearly has better specs plus MIUI more than makes up for the iOS experience. I get that not everyone is gifted with our passion which is why I use the term "immoral" for someone who knowingly barters with this information in hand. But I do agree with l3lessed that if the girl is happy then that's what matters. Then I conclude that while the ends justifies the means this time, I wouldn't make a habit of this kind of business.
That said: I'm sure you can many people in the MP that has "flipped phone".

Ahh I see.
I was just short this month and this way its legal Lol
Everyone was happy. In fact all the deals I did were brought to me, made by the other party.
I agree the iPhone to me isn't worth much but as everyone can see they have a huge faithful following, enough so to dump more premium phones (in our eyes) in order to have one.
Locally regular iPhone 4 non s versions are still selling more than galaxy s2s.
Its mind boggling to me actually.

I flip phones all the time. If i find a great deal then i will most definitely snatch it up. One thing I never do is low ball. I always offer them a fair price that's low enough for me to make a profit, yet sits well with conscience. Business on Craigslist is easy money if you can negotiate.

I can't see the immorality in his actions. He's entertaining offers from others and not misrepresenting his goods. If anything, I'm impressed by the fact that youre arranging Craigslist deals in advance and juggling it all. You should get into stocks or futures or something and make real money with your talents.
It's not immoral, nothing wrong with it.
I have done that once or twice, it's how I get "new phones for free" but honestly it takes too much time/effort/driving and to me is not really worth it. I do it like once a year to upgrade my phone but that's about it. It's not a bad way to get a decent device though, just be willing to put up with all the BS that goes along with it.
I actually prefer the MP here for the most part, except for a few items that are overpriced here that I want to buy or underpriced (compared to local prices) that I want to sell.

Low ballers make me sick, but that's just a part of Craigslist.
Its not hard to do,but can be time consuming and irritating when you run into tire kickers and people who bs.
Throughout all the years I've used Craigslist for everything under the sun, from TVs,to fish tanks,to cars, refrigerators and probably other things I can't recall. But I've never have had one bad experience, never been robbed or put into any bad situations.

If they want quick cash and I'm willing to buy, so be it. I take the time to relist the item and sit on it for a few days, a week, hell I've sat on an item for 3 months! It's all about time and effort. Here in NJ, there are really good deals. Business is just business.

I made some additional moves on Craigs list recently which I didn't post about.
I traded my gs2 for a white 16gb 4s which in return i traded for a new in the box black evo lte.
Sad to say I'm surprised that the resale value on these phones aren't higher, because the lte is not too much different than the gs3...

The nexus 4 turned me into a renegade [email protected]$$

First i got the nexus 4 so i could leave the over priced contracts of ATT and Verizon. I did that and I'll be saving $1000 a year.
It worked so well, i became a cable cutter and ditched Comcast for a savings of $1800 a year.
Then i was looking at myself shaving in the mirror one morning with one of those Gillette mach whatever fusion razors for 20 bucks for 4 of them, and thought, hey this is dumb. So i pulled out my grandfather's old straight razor and lovingly spent an hour honing and stropping it just right and said goodbye to buying another razor for the rest of my life.
It felt so exhilarating holding a lethal weapon against my own throat every morning that i began to look for other ways to find the same feeling.
I found it at the gas station while filling my car. I thought, why am i spending so much on gas for something that's no fun to drive? So i sold it and bought a motorcycle that does 0 to 60 in a little less than 3 seconds but gets 55 miles to the gallon.
Throwing your body down the road at 70 miles an hour gives you a different perspective on things. At least, if you're doing it right. I started living in the moment. I questioned the natural order of things.
So at this point i roam from town to town helping those who can't help themselves.
That's my resolution for the new year... What's yours?

I'd just like to point out that while the Nexus 4 has turned Pedxing into a renegade [email protected]$$, not all stories involving the Nexus 4 turn out good. In fact, any Nexus device can ruin lives and should only be handled trained professionals. Here's why:
When the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 were released, there was a huge rush to get them. Anybody who was remotely interested in phones and tablets knew these devices would be a huge success. However, nobody remembered to tell this to Google, who only manufactured enough devices so that their employees (and families) could get them and keep their workplace Apple-free. Once this production run was complete, the production line was terminated. However, due to the complexities of language translation and foreign business practices, the word "terminate" was taken literally and the workers were executed and the factories set on fire, and the land was salted so that nothing would ever grow there again.
Now, picture this: Here I am, a humble science student, currently working on my doctorate so I can help bring positive change to this world. However, even though I am a technophile, I'm in a cruel relationship where my partner does not want me "wasting money" buying the "latest fad". Instead, she tortures me by talking about wanting babies and buying another kitten. All this does is drive me deeper into my research in order to escape. Somehow, possibly due to sun spots or an alignment of planets, or because she suspected the Mayans may well have been right, she suddenly grants me permission to purchase the new Nexus devices. I cannot believe this! What an incredible change of events! Ecstasy!
So, like millions of other people, I am furiously bashing the F5 key on my computer during the Nexus product launch in a desperate bid to see an "Add to cart" button appear, overloading Google's sales system (running on a Sinclair ZX81, because "hey it'd be cool man"). Nobody was able to purchase a new Nexus device, yet somehow all the stock disappeared (Google's employees and their families got access to the sales server running on the Commodore 64. 6510 > Z80, suckers!). In desperation, I'd been hitting the F5 key for two months, hoping some new stock would become available. Of course, this did not happened (nor ever will), but the carrot remained dangling on Google's website and I was still enticed to refresh the website.
I'd been living the life of a recluse, sitting in my lab repeatedly smashing the F5 key on my keyboard. I am afraid to leave, knowing that I will probably miss the 20 minute window of opportunity to buy a new device when I step away. So, I manufactured my own food in my lab, but I don't really know how to cook and the results were interesting. Some of my food staged a rebellion and escaped, destroying my air conditioning system in the process. The arm I use to click the F5 key (amongst other things) had grown large and muscular, and I think my testosterone levels had increased incredibly, as I had become more hairy and aggressive towards other people. In fact, my dominant arm had dwarfed my other limbs and consumed much of my blood flow, depriving my brain of sufficient blood to enable higher thought processes, so I had become a savage, unruly creature, driven by impulse and prone to whims of fancy.
Such was the case when I decided that it may be easier to find a Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 device already in circulation and liberate the devices from their physically weak possessors. Such slender, symmetrical fools! How dare they possess items of beauty and function! How can I, an educated person with chemically enhanced genetics and a superior physique, be deprived of such pleasures? So I positioned myself near where humans gather, in a place known as a "train station", and hid myself in a tunnel near a point of pedestrian access. I waited, while obtaining nutrients from the assorted vermin found within my damp, dank dwelling. I honed the power in my arm, my magnificent arm of destruction, a red fleshy monstrosity bulging with potent sweet love and misery, a piston of massacre and serenity, a complex dance of sinew twirling merrily amongst the chords of oblivion. Yes, I shall feast! I WILL NOT BE DEPRIVED! Don't look at me. DON'T LOOK INTO MY EYES!
One day, I heard the footsteps of the carriers of the Nexus outside of my realm, and I knew now was the time to take what was rightfully mine! Yes, victory! Sweet, blessed victory! I sprang from my lair of comfort and succor, shielding my eyes from the blinding light with the inferior, weak arm while thrashing away with the harbinger of death, showing my unbridled power in a threatening display and screaming as best my lungs could enable that the offerings of the Nexus should be placed at my feet. Yes, puny weak creatures, give me my bounty!
Then my eyes burnt, I gasped for air, and after some more flailing in rage, I fell to the ground and my body twitched from the electrical currents passing through me. Such is the uncaring way of the Nexus. It chose not to love me. I was unworthy. I was weak. I was trampled. I whimpered.
Modern medicine is a wonderful thing. Now I see with clarity. Yes, I was a fool to love the Nexus. (sweet, sweet, Nexus, you fooled us). I am held in binds, for my arm, my lovely arm, my arm that dispenses love, is a menace to society. Yes, I see this. (yes, we do see this, we see everything). People come to see me, to nod sagely, to make clucking noises at how far I fell. (the clucks! the clicks! they mock us!). The walls may be soft, but my resolution is strong. I was wrong to crave the Nexus. I became broken, but I can be fixed. Yes, fixed. All will be well.
(We shall fix everything. Everyone is broken, only we can fix them. You will see. We see everything.)
EvilStevious needs to lay off of the Adderall.
Love this...

So i pulled out my grandfather's old straight razor and lovingly spent an hour honing and stropping it just right and said goodbye to buying another razor for the rest of my life.

...and not just because I too have an N4 and no cable subscription as well
hearted my friend...hearted
I found that paying to have a roof over my head was a large expense so I quit paying my mortgage and moved under a bridge.
Food was as expensive bit too so now I only eat dead roadkill and whatever I dig out of dumpsters.
Saving money FTW!
