AOKP nexus virtual buttons - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi i flashed this rom and it's awesome but how can i disable virtual nexus buttons? thanks in advance

From captivate thread, posted by sixstringsg:
Go to...
Settings/ Rom control/ Power Menu options/
activate "Show Navigation Bar toggle"
Then hold the powerbutton long. There you can activate/deactivate the navigation Bar.

[Q] disable navbar in phone mode for LiquidSmooth rom

Is there away to remove the navbar in phone mode for LiquidSmooth rom? I try many settings provided in the navigation bar but none work. Thanks for your reply.
Long-press power button, then tap the top-left button.
Thanks.

[Q] Hideable nav bar with cm like in stock rom?

Since i switched to cm for kfhd7" (many thx @ hashcode!) i miss the hideable navigation bar like i've had on stock rom.
Does anybody knows a way to get this navigation bar working with cm10.1?
The search didn't get a result for me.
thx in advance
Do the following:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap System
3. Check the Expanded Desktop tickbox.
4. Press the Home button.
5. Now, when you hold the power button on the Kindle, in the menu where you shut down or reboot the Kindle there will be an option called Expanded Desktop, activate it.
6. Bye bye navbar!!
7. To reactivate the navbar, hold the power button down and deselect the Expanded Desktop option.
Now you can finally use all the available screen space goodness for apps. If you want to do away with the navbar completely, I'd recommend doing a search for LMT Launcher.
Thank you for the answer.
I think i should describe it a little bit more precise.
The expanded desktop option is no option for me because it's to circuitous to get the navigation bar back.
The best way for me was the way like it implemented in stock rom where i can display the navigation bar only with one slide.
Is there a solution to get this behavior back?
Yes, goto this thread and follow the instructions, if you get stuck let me know and I'll try to guide you.

Ok that's a beginning.
I don't really like the pies but it's better than the static navigation bar.
A pity that there it's seem to be no way to get the old behavior back.
Thank you!

[Q] How to enable Soft Keys / On-screen Nav Bar?

I'm using a custom Sense 5 rom, and was wondering how do you enable it. I already tried the build.prop trick, but it didn't work. Anything i'm missing? Yes I know there's the capacitive buttons, but there's already a on-screen menu button. Might as well turn it into the whole nav button. And yes, I know I can disable the on-screen menu button, but I like to SEE if there's a menu button in the app. Plus i'm coming from a GNex, so i'm used to the nav bar.
Anyone?
I want softkeys as well, but my experience is that it doesn't work with other than cm/aosp roms. Anyone that knows why or a workaround?

[Q] Enable capacitive buttons on CM11 (or reduce NavBar)

Hi all! I would like to know how to enable the capacitive keys on the s3 mini with cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat). it's a bit annoying using the navigation bar (qemu.hw.mainkeys=0).
they worked with the samsung firmware e they blink for 5-6 secs after boot.
(otherwise I would like to reduce the navigation bar)
I've also notice that I don't have this file: sec_touchkey.kl under /system/usr/keylayout
Thanks for the help.

You can also enable them with Gravity box xposed module & change the size too Or use carbon rom, it has a switch for navigation bar & size.

Don't understand you very well (nav bar buttons or physical buttons!?), anyway to change their behaviour go to, system settings-buttons & choose what function you want for them.

no....the don't work at all!!! i want their functions.
The only way to emulate them is the navigation bar but it was too big (with the GB I've resized it).
I wish someone tell me how to enable this buttons that worked with the original firmware.
I already told you in the previous posts how to change their functions & how to disable or change the backlight.
I am also having this problem and there is no option in settings to enable/disable this buttons. Like edoz90 said, the buttons worked perfectly on the stock rom.

On screen Navigation bar or buttons on tab S2

Just got us tab s2 . Love the weight less design..
I don't like having to hit the hardware home button on it though everytime I need to switch app or go back to home page.
Is there an option to get on screen software navigation buttons? Would prefer not to root actually.

Plenty of non root solutions for this just search play for soft keys.
I have a nav bar from Gravity Box (Xposed) but unfortunately the keys are only visible in portrait mode. My favorite soft key solution is called Button Savior and I also like LMT (available on XDA).

Look into ultimate dynamic navbar if you have xposed.

I remember using that a while ago, I'll check it out again. Thanks!
Use GMD Gesture Control. Much better than any soft or hard keys.

According to your sig your running MM? I'm on LP 5.1.1 and having issues finding a navbar that displays correctly in landscape only.. Very frustrating as that is one of the main reasons I rooted. MM is not available for my T810 yet.... Any suggestions?
