Is it just me or is 240 dpi seemed snappier and smoother? it takes a few minutes to get used to it but it looks perfect. o just need to find a keyboard with bigger keys.

Yeah it's a Galaxy Note, are you jealous?
I have exactly opposite experience, I am on trr 1.5 beta with nova launcher and the swipe between home pages are quite laggy in 240 dpi setting. No lags whatsoever at 320 dpi setting.

I'm on ICS, using DAGr8 rom, really smooth on 240dpi using Apex.
I found 240 much better on GB. I could not find the correct matching upgrade for my eyes, however, so had to return to 320.
I am also on ICS and have no noticed any issue with 240DPI. It is reasonably easy to get used to but I prefer 260DPI, better for my horrible eyes lol.

What does it look like? Take a screenshot please.
I had density 160 on my I7500 but some apps wont recognize the value and were displayed in wrong size (handycalc ie.)
I am wondering what value everyone is using for their LCD Density?
I am using ROM Toolbox Lite to change it, currently on a value of 210 (on DMORE 3.3 ROM), which seems a good compromise.
EDIT: Please add which ROM you are using when you suggest your density
Hi, I'm on Slim ics v4.0 and as standard Dpi is set to 182 and I find it really clear and defined. Any lower and icons are not spaced out right on the home screen. (Trebuchet). Got rid of lightning launcher

Hey guys,
I was on 182 and I loved it.
Just upgraded to X-Bean and now I've lost the higher resolution.
Do you know the best way to get it back?
I had SlimICS before which had a settings menu with the option.
Thanks
I'm using 182 in Slim Bean. Kind of weird at first (started with 182 in SlimICS), but got used now and can't go back!

OP suggests ROM Toolbox allows you to change it, you should try that.

Using 210 DPI, since I flashed Elite's rom.
I use now 200 dpi but also 182 looks good.
Tiramisu (based on SlimICS).
question: how to calculate the resolution for 200 dpi and 182 ... at 240 it is 800x480. (need to modify the IGO8 setting) thanx

I used the build.prop editor available in the play store to change the density to 182. You then need to reboot to apply the changes. You also need to get a multi dpi play store installed as you will get incompatibility errors otherwise.

I used this for the store and it seems to work perfectly ... just flash from cwm ... and follow the directions

For Galaxy S is 240
For Galaxy S is 240
if Galaxy Nexus is 320 but if you try this it will make font and other bigger than expectation.
if use 160 is for tablet mode that make you gain more space but it will make your eye sight shor
Just installed Apex Launcher Pro and I noticed that its a bit slow. I mean, its not smooth like the stock launcher when changing homescreen for example. Do you guys get that aswell?
For me it is normal and smooth as stock. I don't have the pro version, but it should be the same.
What the heck :/ Nova is extra smooth, Apex lags like my device has 1MB RAM :/
One reason could be that it might be optimized for Tegra 3...but then im not sure.
I use nova and no lag

I've Apex Pro 1.3.1, smooth as hell
I'm using Apex launcher as well. Mostly of the time it's smooth like it's supposed to be, but sometimes it stutters for some secounds... It's quite annoying and kind of ruins the smooth experience.
Yes, this is a bit slow. Disgusting.

no problems here with Apex launcher either, though the default home launcher lags my phone. no idea why :/
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, I'm on my phone and have no way to see rules or anything like that. Anyway, I would like to use miui on my Galaxy S3, however MIUI is 320 DPI by default (ridiculous) and changing the LCD density totally breaks the UI. In order to be able to enjoy using my phone I need to have at least 240 DPI. Are there any themes compatible with the decreased DPI?

Has anyone tried changing their dpi? The stock is a little big for me

Stock is a lot big. I run AOSP all the time. So I've changed mine to 410. Looks so much better.
Use 440 myself, on XDABBEB's ROM. Stock is 480.
I use texdroider dpi changer and have mine set about 400. Some things look weird like the camera but I like a smaller DPI
