I am trying to update the rom of my trinity (from image version 1.20.408.1 to image version 1.15.405.5).
I get following error message: [Error] Invalid vender ID
I presume that "vender" is just "vendor" misstyped by somebody.
Anyway, the error message tells me, I believe, that there is a conflict of vendors (brands).
How can I overcome this ? Is there any utility that can help me to delete/remove or otherwise outplace the "vender-ID" ?
I am absolutely unexperienced, so please do not blame me for asking something that is probably very simple for experienced people.
I would like to add that I know that tweaking too much with a device can ruin it and make it a brick. But I have very good reason to need to erase the actual Rom and install a new one. And learning to erase and install any rom on this device

First, it looks like you are downgrading?
Second, if you check other device´s forums, (see Prophet) you'll find a lot of info about error codes, Country ID locking, etc.
This is common info for most HTC devices, read the forum for a while and you'll find the answers.
In my opinion it's a bit too soon for upgrades. Although they will come, indeed....¡¡
Can someone tell me what Error 302 is when flashing? Trying to help someone, but the WIKI doesnt have a list of errors for the wizard...
Error 302: Update error.
It seems to happen to people flashing button_rom. Just today I've updated my howto at G3.6 with the following:
NOTE: Some people seem to have problem with flashing the button rom in this step (stops at 98% with error 302). Replace button_rom with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 and follow the rest of the steps normally when this happens!

Today i tried to install XDA Mobile 6 r2a rom, but on 99% i got an 302 error.
I first i installed IPL_SPL__G3-only_3.08, then radio_2.69.11, and then this rom. now I don't know what to do, because I cann't install this rom, i always got the 302 error, and I cann't install my old rom.
Please, tell me, what should i do to make my phone work. THANKS.
ps: i'm afraid that may be my phone was locked. but i don't know that exactly

Did you follow Dr. P's instructions on downgrading and unlocking here?? If not -- you're right -- it's not unlocked, and until you unlock it "by the book", you won't be able to do anything else except run your Carrier's ROM.
All those stickies are there for a reason, and yet 30% of the posts on here sound just like yours. All it takes is a little time to read before you flash!!!

Or can I unlock my device without installing any operating system on it, and then try to install wm6?

Can someone help me to upgrade my original Rom, each time I wanted to do it I got this error : error 294 I guess that is related to the operator, my question is : what's the solution to resolve that ?

Have you flashed HSPL before flashing the rom???

but then after partitioning the card i try to install the rom and it says bad and aborts there is nothing i can do
What? Where? What part are you having problems with? I've never seen an error message that merely says "bad" then aborts.

im have been trying for a while to flash the 508 radio on my n1 but i keep getting errors i have been able to get my roms but the radio still is a problem the last rejection was "not signed" can someone please point me in the direction i need to go sorry if this has been asked before
you need to toggle signature before flashing the zip....
i jus found i old tutorial and changed some of the wording for the cmd prompt....is there a way to delete this post???
