I tried to download but it said this ROM was not for my device.
Yes, I installed it already and the verdict was not good. This ROM made my HD to become very slow. I even installed the hotfix to enhance response time but still the response was very slow.
It's not a brand new ROM.
The version is the same as the one that came with my HD dated December.
I guess they just released it publicly in Jan while those in the stores are all shipped with it already.
Slow? I don't find it slow...feels ok to me...although every now and then there will be some hangs and bugs...as with all WM Phone..
What about the radio? Asian and Australian are the same in the eyes of HTC so I'm hoping there is a radio that gets the American bands.

This ROM is not so stable....installed and replaced alreaday
Which ROM stable
can you give us some detail why you think that the ROM is not so stable?
Which ROM you are using?
Thanks
easy to hang.. twice to 3 times per day, the phone will be suddently no response...need reset, but unfortunately, the reset hole is inside the body, need remove back cover..
and if you keep charging at night, and next morning, it is also easy to hang if you have new SMS or call.
looks I still can not find a version which is stable enough...I tried couple of versions ROM here, but looks the HANG issue still be there....just not so frequent....now, I am trying [ROM][WWE][2.02.2009]BLACKSTONE WM6.1 V08 (PV) - Build 20769.1.4.5 - pdaviet.net

If you are looking for a stable version please give this one a try :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3033441&postcount=98
I tried many cooked ROMs already but always get back to this one.
fast and stable.
okay im sure you guys saw that 1.6 is being pushed to all tmobile g1s in the next few days (i saw it on engadget.com) my question is im rooted with cyan 4.0.4 i think. (the latest stable) and i think i want to update to that so i can have the new market. will i be able to get the update and will i be able to still use overclock widget. thanks guys!!!
umm there are already 1.6 based roms in the dev section... i would look there, i am about to give akirah's build a go.
if you flash an official update to your phone then you will lose root.
If you flash any official ROM and try to run an app that requires root it won't work as intended (the app).
How's the ROM you mention david? I was considering it myself, I've been using this current ROM for almost a day now. Need a change

i found it to be really fast (like damn fast) but i love a lot of the features in 4.1.11.1 like the lockscreen among other things. i think it is between a jf rom and a cm rom. not completely vanilla but not rocky road either its a good rom overall, but i love my features.
i still have my .zip file for cyans 4.1.11.1 if anyone needs it!..i like it..

* looks over both shoulders.
* whispers "dude that phone had cyanogen on it when you bought it?!?! That sh*t's illegal bro!"
Ok, so i began porting Froyo to the Legend this morning.
So far ok, It boots.
But the touch screen does not respond? I can use the optical pad to select things, i can recieve calls. but that is it. I need to use the touch screen to test if other things work.
Any hints?
Total noob here, so just guessing, but do you have all the necessary drivers?
Well i am using the stock rom as a base.
Just using Basic Kitchen to port it, So I'm not too sure if i am meant to add extra things to it, i assumed that the kitchen would extract the drivers from the stock rom into the port one?
I'm not an experienced dev at all, just that no-one seems to interested in the Legend so i thought i would give it a shot.

Unfortunately I'm even less experienced than you, so I cannot help you here. Perhaps one of the more experienced chefs can chime in here?
But if you manage to make a working ROM and you need help with testing, I'd be glad to give a hand ..
give me a week (or 2) and I'll join in on the froyo cooking (exams + party time).
I do think you should copy the driver files from the latest available official rom... which one 2 copy and which one not 2, that's a guess, trial and error ?
Yeah, i've been trying to, just that there are so many different files. (222)
I'm not even sure if i am in the right folder haha!
Is it the System/lib folder where the drivers are?
or the System/bin folder? Or is it somewhere completely different!?
It looks like the drivers is in /system/lib and in /system/bin the android file system tools. I'm just a n00b so I could be wrong but when I ls /system/lib it contains libcamera.so and other driverlike files. So i'm guessing it's the place to look.

Which stock rom do you mean?
SDK ?..........................................
Eh, the Rooted WWE 2. something rom - the newest one.
maybe you can put it on modaco too?
Yeah i will when i have finished, I am making progress but don't expect much as the build i am porting barely works on the G1 atm.
But it will get better
I'm also trying to port the G1 Cynanogen rom aswell, but same driver problem! so trying to figure out what the hell to do atm haha
EDIT:
AAAAH, Someone help me... I have the drivers i need for it too work, i got them from the HTC legend kernel source code?
So How am i meant to put these in the new ported kernel? as i cannot open the boot.img in windows?
Maybe you should contact rodriguez for info. He was able to customize the modaco rom. I think it's nice to see someone trying. Keep up the good work m8
OK, I contacted Rodriguez.
He says he does not think the Froyo rom i am porting will work :/
So i will hold this rom at the moment, until someone can help me.
But instead i will begin to try and remove sense from MoDaCo r2, should be easyish
that's nice a rom without sense I would like that very much
good luck with it.
I hope the froyo port will work eventually
I have made a rom without sense (ish)
I stripped the R2 but there are still some sensish things, as the HTC keyboard looks and works much better, and the top bar is still black, but apart from that it is stock 2.1
I had one FC first time i flashed it, but it has not come back.
I will upload tonight, as i have to go to school now.

Aargh. I was looking forward to froyo on our legend. Maybe we have to wait for the official release, that is if we will get it. Well thanks for trying

Hello,
You seem to be doing an interesting attempt.
In the case of HTC Legend, I think that the touchpanel control-codes are different from other devices. (such as Nexus One
----
# getevent &
...
add device 6: /dev/input/event1
name: "synaptics-rmi-touchscreen"
...
/dev/input/event1: 0003 003a 00000001
/dev/input/event1: 0003 0039 8ddb05f5
/dev/input/event1: 0003 003a 00000001
/dev/input/event1: 0003 0039 8de005f3
/dev/input/event1: 0003 003a 00000001
/dev/input/event1: 0003 0039 8df305f3
/dev/input/event1: 0003 003a 00000001
/dev/input/event1: 0003 0039 8df305f5
...
----
Basically, most case of multi-touch-type, touchpanel drivers report 0x35(MT_POSITION_X)/0x36(MT_POSITION_Y) and more.
However, Legend's one reports only 0x3a(MT_AMPLITUDE)/0x39(MT_POSITION).
According to the source code of AOSP, these control codes are NOT DEFINED in RawInputEvent.java.
Therefore, there are two solutions.
1. Modify the kernel driver (synaptics_i2c_rmi.c) and rebuild
with CONFIG_TOUCHSCREEN_COMPATIBLE_REPORT.
# however, i'm afraid that it is enough...
2. Modify RawInputEvent.java and KeyInputQueue.java
to let Android to receive control codes(0x3a/0x39).
# Now it cannot test because FroYo has not been released yet but it is effective in AOSP Eclair on Legend.
Thanks,
k-yosa
Hello!
I had a problem with my S4 Active i9295.
When I rooted the Stock ROM and installed CWM, I flashed the superb [AOSP][Port]★I9295★ Official 4.2.2 - S4 Google Edition - Feel the Experience of Nexus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406177
And I had no Wifi... then I found that the solution could be Flashing this ROM using ODIN and then Rooting and Installing CWM again and then Flashing the Custom ROM again.
>>> I9295XXUAMF5_I9295DBTAMF1_DBT
That is just what Darkman sayd: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45014751&postcount=42
Why am I creating this Thread?
It may not be so easy to find the above stock ROM, I could only Download from Hotfile and a very slow speed, so I took the freedom to upload it to Mediafire for other users having the same problem, that can be very stressful.
And I think this Thread may help new users that are a little bit lazy like I am some times... Or am.

I already had the download but I couldn't make the wi-fi work whatever I did, but following your simple explanation of the sequence worked fist time.
Now I am totally Samsung free and enjoying the pure android experience. Everything runs lightning fast.

Thanks for The feedback man! I'm glad it worked!
how to flash this via odin ?
While discussing this custom rom in other roms' threads, I came across one for the MB886 with CN localization.
I was able to download it and flashed. But before doing so, looked at the archive and noticed it had a /data directory with suspicious apps in it. So I wouldn't really recommend anyone actually flashing it for use until someone with knowledge took a look at it.
Interestingly enough, it does flash and seems to be working, I cleared data/wiped before booting it.. Take note that it's is not officially supported by slimkat nor is it available on their site.
EDIT: We have a working rom now thanks to Technofreak, check it out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49622265
I finished compiling it to see how it goes. Will post ROM if is good.

Please delete the Links to this Chinese Rom from this forum and from the Cyan thread. THis Rom Contains Applications that require payments from the Google Play and its Developers. It contains apps like
Android Tweaker PRO
Root Explorer
NexMusic +/Plus
and others
Ok to my Fellow forum friend @clockcycle and others wanting this ROM I have made an Modified version out of this Chinese Rom which works 100% without any lag and is working great. I will make a thread for this one and there is also and right now is the one I use as it looks lots as Validus without much Clowns as @skeevydude like it. lol
Seen very solid to me and is my and will be my daily drive (For now) lol
Also there is one I compile together but since time limits I havent been able to test it. This one should have more options and few then other fixes to options that came after my Modified version
Will explain more at the Developers thread

Yea I was really surprised to how lite "SLIM" the CN version of the rom was. But didn't trust to install gapps, login or install any apps. I also wiped /data after first flash before the boot. Downloading your version right now.
