So I have a Xoom and a Galaxy Tab and was really missing Zinio(not yet available in the Market). So I grabbed the Readers Hub and Zinio apk's for the XDA Galaxy Tab forum here and installed them on the Xoom. Works perfectly.
Note: you need both apk's because you have to use Readers Hub to launch Zinio. These are ripped from the European Galaxy Tab since Zinio is not yet available on the US versions. Because of this, some of US subscriptions may not show up under Zinio on the Xoom. You can also search around the XDA Galaxy Tab forum for Kobo and PressReader apk's if you want the other two Readers Hub apps as well.
It launched initially and let me enter my account information and now it does nothing but force close when I launch it from Readers hub and tap magazines.
If this interests you, I recommend filling out this short feedback form requesting full support for Xoom:

I get a force close after Sign In, anyone know whats up?
Thanks

Not a Xoom compatible app. Complain here:

On March 14th I sent a product request to Zinio for an Android App. I got the reply below two days later.
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Zinio Customer Support.
We are putting the finishing touches on our Android general market product.
It is coming soon. We will keep you posted as we get closer to a confirmed date"
Anxiously waiting
This runs perfectly only xoom! Just install the readerhub app first then the sinuous. Thanks op!

No idea, it just works...im even ordering magazines and its not force closing on me...
have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Thanks! Works for me too!
yeah not getting this going either, i tried everything, uninstalling, clearing data, looking around folders, stumped... what exact sequence did you follow?
I suspect a missing piece in this install since it works for few and not for most. Did you guys install the APK's from the same location? Something is not adding up.
Works for me. On the Xoom wifi, unlocked, rooted and running tiamat's kernel. Also of note, I already had an account so I brought it up and just logged in. Also, I installed Readers Hub and then Zinio, in that order.

i had a zinio account already, same problem. if he's saying hes on the wifi xoom, maybe, but i am on wifi and phone data is off so the connection itself isn't the problem. i gave up, lol. i guess the magazines don't want my money.
I tried on my wifi Xoom
sideloaded readers hub, launched. options/menu/settings button did not work
sideloaded zinio, created and account. seemed okay at first.
then it would force close at different times. I guess I will have to wait till the official launch of the app.
Installed it on my wifi zoom and its working fine for me. I installed readers hub first then zinio.
No go for me on wifi xoom. I installed readers hub first, then zinio. The readers hub app opens fine, but when zinio is selected it force closes.
I hope this will eventually come to the Nook.
You can side-load it, at least under CM7. Don't know why it wouldn't work under other versions where you can side-load. Here's the thread:

Don't know. I'm using CM7 2.6.32. I think that might be a somewhat later version of CM7 than the one you are using. Another issue may be that I had never downloaded a magazine from them. Like I mentioned I just tried it this morning. I guess you can count yourself as lucky.
Is this better than magazines on the Nook app?

Would zinio normally ask for some form of payment before allowing you to download? I have never used it.
Zinio may never come to Nook
1. It was rumored that Zinio was managing the digital magazine subscriptions for B&N. Emphasis on "rumored." No proof was provided.
2. B&N has its own subscription service to some of the same magazines at twice the price. I don't believe they will ever allow a competitor's program on the stock NC.
Older XDA thread - Works for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050614
I had been running Zinio on an older CM7 load. I reflashed everything and just reinstalled Zinio. The old one at the XDA thread above works for the Nook Color. I couldnt get the new one to work on CM7.
I'm reading my magazine subscriptions.
It is now officially available.

There was an update to Zinio a couple of days ago and now it's not working under CM7. (At least for me). Hopefully they can fix this soon.
Look at the comments, looks like they broke it basically. Anywho, most likely problems related to not being able to load it on the NC (or likely any wifi tablet) are probably around permissions or such. I looked at perms, at least they're not requiring SMS or such, which screws with pretty much every wifi-only tablet, but they could be requiring other things in the manifest.
IE: It's an app problem at this point. Google has firmly decided to filter more apps based on capabilities. It'd be nice, however, if they'd say exactly WHY an app isn't compatible.
Looking at the logs on crash, I see unresolved method "setSystemUiVisibility". This is only available from API level 11 and up (ie: Honeycomb)
Somehow, it thinks the Nook is a Honeycomb device. If it's due to poor code on the Zinio side then it's harder to fix, but if it's something in Cyanogenmod ROM...
I'm running 7.1.0 release.
Evo yes - Nook no - darn!
What's weird (to me) is Zinio v1. 12.4204 works on my Evo 4G, CM7.0.3.1-supersonic, but not my NookColor CM7. 1.0-encore -- the latter which would be a near perfect device except for that one little shortcoming.
zinio installed from the market and opens fine. I can't login cause I don't have an account but it seems to work fine.
* Netflix does not appear in the Market for Droid 3.

I know, you'd think it'd be no problem, which is what I assumed. Perhaps support for the OMAP4 is coming via update?
That would be my guess. I think the D3 is the first with OMAP 4 in it, the Bionic is next so once a few devices have it and are selling Netflix will see a reason for it.
There is also multiple different netflix's out there, have you tried all of them?
Hi I tried netflix on cyanogenmod 7 and it worked fine, but when I try to do it in coredroid it said my phone was able. What sup with that.

I used the deviceless apk I snagged for my nook and tried it on the d3. I got the green screen bit, then it just kicked back to the netflix queue, no reboot.

They need to hurry up with this ****... Hulu too!
I don't want to pay some other company every month to use their software to watch something offered by another company I pay money to.
Well if you can't wait just use a 30 day trial from playon.tv and get netflix that way.. I would imagine they will have the app by the end of this month or early next
Same here with the green crap. Audio actually does work, by the video decoding is busted. I used 3 or 4 different version of Netflix, some crashed my phone, others had the busted decoding.
It's compatible now, or so it says. Mine isn't working. It streams but everything is all green.
Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
Yup same here. It will allow me to download and install from the market, but I get the green pixelated screen followed by a reboot.
Confirming, officially supported, and still officially broken.
The version you are downloaded is the 1.2.2 and we have to wait for the "official" 1.3 update. It seems Google is possibly being a little slow?
The 1.3 update just hit the android market and it now works for the D3... Although the colors are not as good as it looked on my old Droid Inc.
Maybe some tweaking can resolve the color issue...
Confirmed, updated version is working for D3 quite nicely.
I recently un-rooted my DROID BIONIC for when a replacement was necessary.
While rooted I had to re-run a STOCK Script/Utility to restore my connectivity issue with my BIONIC LAPDOCK ( ie I HAD no connectivity Webtop was blown away ).
That remedy restored WebTop capability to the LapDock, but now my ANDROID Market lists nothing when I select " My APPS " . If i search for them individually it acknowledges that I paid for them, but the list is <NULL> itself .
Do I have to re-root to re-link to the Market and if so, what do I run ?
Thanks in Advance !
I love my BIONIC ( even though I replaced 3 of them in 2 months ) When they work they work great !
Just download one of the paid apps, and download a free one. Your market should fix itself

This happened to me recently too and App Manager in the Rom Toolbox did the trick. It makes it possible to link to the market or break that link (root required).
Thanks for your input(s) .
ROM Toolbox Pro is one of my paid apps .Who knows, Its is likely that I severed the link(s) by my own hand ( and a heavy thumb ! ) by accident with that very tool . I will re-root and try that . I guess I have to manually search and download them individually before I can get the complete list back in MARKET . ( if I can remember ALL the APPS I paid for )
Thanks again !
There are a lot of threads all over the web about My Apps area being empty. It is across all phone platforms. It doesn't seem to strike too many and it seems to be a Google issue.
Good luck.

My market has been broken, even before I rooted, or changed from the stock ROM. Google said they were looking into it for the Bionic, as of now I have the latest market but it still failed to link. My theory is I update my apps before the market updates and after it has, that's when it brakes. Still no update from google on a fix. But with the new update from moto will try to let the market update first before downloading my paid apps maybe this time it won't break

This is actually what started it all for me. I used the Market Doctor accidentally and right after My Apps was empty. And it's only this account. I have four other Google accounts and the system apps show up just fine in those. It's only in my primary that I have an empty app page. I have tried the clear cache and force stop server method only to see my paid apps for a moment then it goes right back to nothing.
And I found myself a solution. While titanium backup wouldn't work to fix my issue it wild seem ROM toolbox has. Just install it (you have to buy it as the free version wont allow you to use the market fix) and select all apps in the market fixer. Run market fix and restart your phone. It may or may not work for you but its worth a shot. Good luck.

I switched to Eclipse v1.2RC1 from 1.1.1 and My Apps came back on its own.
I reinstalled and relinked with ROM Toolbox and made a Titanium ZIP file for good measure. Hopefully future "stable" releases will still have that functionality as I am liking the Eclipse "flavored" series very much
Even though technology will leapfrog I hope my BIONIC will serve me 'til my Verizon 2 year commitment extinguishs.
With the killer ROM devs that appear here on XDA I don't think I need worry !
Missing apps are a google issue
I have two bionics, a nook color rooted with CM7 and a Logitech Revue. I have had each of these devices with various ROMS, and various versions of Market/vending.apk. The earlier version of vending.apk will show my apps, however as soon as the phone updates itself to the latest vending.apk, the apps dissappear, redownloading them does not help. Also I have two other accounts linked to my Bionic, they show "some" of the downloaded apps. There has been no rhyme or reason. The other thing to not is when you try to search for my apps on earlier builds of vending.apk, it gives a server error, like if the servers have been changed since those versions.
What irritates me is that my kindle fire shows the apps on my account just fine. Just not on my bionic. By the way us everybody else running 3.4.4?

I've had this problem since I bought the bionic in October. Never worked, ever. Tablet works OK. Even stopped working on my other phones. Went to google support and discovered it was a market bug, but no resolution. Two weeks ago...I factory reset my bionic for some reason and it worked. Just to confirm, did it again the next day. It worked again. And to be sure, I did it again before writing this.....so it suddenly started working after a factory reset...
Who knows....

So I haven't quit looking into what actually causes the market "My Apps" issue. While I do feel it truly is the database I have a slightly more detailed theory as to why it does it. However in order to test this theory I need to take a general poll.
How many of you discovered this issue after using some sort of Root tool (ie: Rom Toolbox, Root Tools, Titanium Backup)?
How many of you have accidentally or on purpose used the Market Fix that supplement these programs?
The reason I'm asking is semi obvious I suppose. While these programs can do great good it would appear that if not done correctly they can also do bad. Last night I decided to play with it a bit more and I Linked ALL system apps and user apps to the market. After a few minutes or a reboot I would get the error again. So I went ahead and broke all links again, deleted the .dbs file and started all over again. This time only doing system apps and user apps that I knew were updatable. This lead to the market functioning much better. However I'm not finished yet. I want to figure out what apps and programs trigger this. At this point in time most User apps are okay but I have found I have linked considerably less system apps to the market. What I would like to ideally do is narrow the list down to just a few apps that shouldn't be linked.
Also if anybody would be so kind as to copy and share their database file that would help tremendously. This file needs to be completely stock having NEVER used any of these programs to edit the market links. Sharing this could potentially help all Android users having this extremely annoying issue. If you would like to keep the amount of users who this down to just me you can PM me or even send it to me over Skype or some other messenger with a file share tool. Thank you all in advance.
For those of you currently having the issue I have posted a fix here: http://rootzwiki.com...market-my-apps/

Showing as incompatible for my Xoom running Eos 2.0.0, but compatible for my Nook Tablet running CM9 so I bought it and am going to try and side load.
Is it showing up as compatible for anyone on their Xoom on a different rom?
Edit: Sideloading seems to have worked, downloading the hundreds of mb worth of stuff now. So if you have a device that is compatible, you should be okay. Note, that sideloading without purchasing likely will not work, as I'm pretty sure it still checks to see if you purchased.
Edit2: Download is complete, game is running and looks great.
I noticed a little lag when you get the mission complete menus that pop up, but game play is really fantastic.
So I just checked the Play Store website, it's actually showing up as compatible with my Xoom now. Anyone else seeing it that way?
