No, You can't with minimalistic text.. There might be a launcher that allows you to 'turn' widgets on your homescreen, but I'm not 100% sure on that, would have to search around..

Layering Widgets with LauncherPro Plus

I'm trying to create a new look on my phone and I'm currently using LauncherPro Plus. I can't post a link to the design I'm going for since I haven't hit 8 posts yet, but basically I have gTab Simi Clock set up to fill half of the screen with a semi-transparent background and I want to overlay a beautiful widgets weather setup on top of the Simi Clock.
Every time I try to place the BW widget on up it gets shuffled above or below it. How do I set it up so the widgets will overlay?
Thanks
Add simi clock first, add bw after and resize it. Resize simi over bw. Restart launcher pro.

Thank you kindly sir! That worked perfectly.
It seems this only works for the homescreen you're currently looking at. For example, if I'm looking at homescreen 2 and reset LauncherPro, the widgets will be properly layered on that screen, but reversed on the others. If I go to homescreen 1 and reset LauncherPro while looking at it, homescreen 2 will then be improperly layered. The only "fix" seems to be to intentionally incorrectly layer every screen but one, and then reset LauncherPro while looking at that screen.
I've posted a bug report on the LauncherPro boards. Hopefully we'll see a fix soon.

[Q] Extend Simi clock

I see phones like this:

Looks like SiMi Clock.
1st link looks like a combination of different widgets.
Don't know about the horizontal line, but for the vertical line (link 3) long hold and stretch widget. Need Launcher Pro Plus or other 3rd party home screen that allows resizing widgets.

I think some of those lines, dates, weater are made with minimalistic text, and the clock with simi clock
That IS SiMi clock. I have the exact same thing, BUT you need to have something that will allow you to resize widgets. I use LauncherPro +
Ah, after taking a second look I see. It is gTab SiMi Clock. My mistake. I thought the lines where from something completely different but now I see it is streched.

With some trial and error you could make a white line on your background image to produce the same effect without using up all your screen space with a giant widget.
Its a combination of streched Simi clock using launcher pro, and possibly a background to match.
How do you make the date read "thuDECsecond"? I see the 'user defined' option but i can only get it to read "ThuDec2". Any help would be great.
I figured it out. You have to click and drag the widget and drop it back down. Once you do that it becomes highlighted in transparent orange and you can drag it to stretch it down your screen.
EDIT: Have to use launcher pro. Im new to all this stuff but its a pretty swift learning process.

Minimalist Clock without weather

I'm looking for a clock widget that's minimalist and fits in with the attached homescreen.
I would use Beautiful Widgets, but I don't want the weather, as I have the Asus widget.
Any suggestions?
A Segoe WP-like font is preferred.
I would try using minimalistic text. I have my homescreen set up similar to yours and use a few of those widgets. You can customize just about everything to get it how you like.

In beautiful widgets, there is a 2*1 superclock that has no weather on it. I would either use that or minimalistic text to create your own.

[Q] best clock to use with stock xoom launcher?

hey guys.
on my Evo I always used and was very happy with Clockr Evolution. Now I downloaded Clockr from the market and even the biggest font size seems too small. the default launcher doesn't let you stretch the widget. I tried with launcherproplus and the widget stretches, but the words stay the same size.
the other clock I like is TypoClock, but i'm also running into the same situation. not big enough.
what clock are you guys using? I like either big numbers or words, so either Clockr or TypoClock style....
anything you can recommend? thanks!
I use beautiful widgets, with the 4x3 superclock for tablets. But I aso use ADW EX instead of the stock launcher for widget resizing
edit: accidental double post
I use Launcher Pro and the stock clock with Clockr underneath and it looks nice

10x10 Grid Size, I dont understand

How can you put anything on that grid size? My minimal text gets cut off when i create a widget to display the date, and everything is so small like my mclock unless i drag it out over the whole screen then I cant press anywhere to add widgets, which are also really small...any help?
I am trying to follow this btw - http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=wormdoes#/d3niht8
I've noticed that with GO Launcher EX the icons don't look too small on the 10x10 grid. On Launcher Pro, the 10x10 grid seems to shrink the icons down to where you can't really use them.Haven't had any problems placing widgets, just resize them and all should be well.
If your Minimalistic Text is getting cut off make sure your using the correct size widget. For example, if your trying to replicate like in the link you posted use something like 3x1 or 4x1, not 2x1 or 1x1 or it will cut off.
I just resize the widget. Simples
