you must relock your bootloader
go to your bootloader menu with the volume down en power
open cmd on your computer
To re-lock your bootloader, in the command prompt, type: fastboot oem lock.
I already did, the problem I have is that after re-locking the bootloader need the RUU for the phone, but I have tried all and nothing has worked for me
Have you tried to do a factory reset? I know that I have some problems in the past after relocking the bootloader. Then I have did a fresh ruu install maybe you have the wrong ruu for your region

I dont think there is any T-mob GER RUU out there
you'll have to flash a CWM ROM close to stock
I want to install the stock rom because I installed some games and they are closed or are not compatible, but worked before installing a custom rom
anyone have any solution?

Why don't you install Alex's ROM, any games that work on stock should work with that.

Hello. I've flashed custom ROM RCMix3d and I would like to return to the stock one. I've used "fastboot oem lock" and now see "RELOCKED" sign seems that I can flash Official RUU. I've already tried to flash some and always got 131 error that means I have wrong region and can't flash this RUU. How can I identify my XL's region? When I can get original RUU for my XL and flash stock ROM?

Thx but I've already tried to install some RUUs from there, there's no Indian RUU for my phone.
No-one seems to have been able to get hold of the Indian one just yet.

After doing this we can flash any of the ics roms? Or since its using the att ruu do we need to stick to the att roms?

The updated hboot is what matters for the kernel purpose if the Rom runs a 3.0 or higher kernel you would need this ICS hboot ..

First off, THanks!
Secondly, The link is not working for step 3.
Also if I am already s-off I can skip step 1 correct?
And when I unlock bootloader thru HTC dev, I select HTC Vivid?
THanks again!
Worked great!
Followed the directions and am now running ICS - flashed to the dark raider 1.1 rom from another thread after and it works great.. was going to try wc's illuminati rom but the link on his site starts out downloading at about 30k/sec and then steadily drops to zero before i get over 60mb.. anyone have a copy they want to mirror or know of another mirror hosting that rom? I know he's not on xda anymore..that's a shame tho he's a good dev.
Anyway thanks for the guide to get ics for us raider users! Worked perfectly!
Sorry for the dumb question about flasing the cingular ruu first, i didn't realize the first ruu it points to was a gb vivid ruu. makes perfect sense now.. lol...sense.. no pun intended..lol

Unlock as you unlocked before doing any changes. If your not having HTC vivid then don't select HTC vivid. If you have raider the simple select others.

Trying to unlock the bootloader with my old token isn't working. Getting a remote unlocktoken check fail. Do I need to redo htc dev as a vivid? Sorry for the questions, after spending all that time trying to get s-off my brain is tired lol
Ok so I ran the ruu's while in fastboot and I had to redo the unlock as if the phone was a vivid and get a new token and now all is well. At least if anyone has a dead brain moment like me they will see this and know

can you get into hboot/fastboot? if you can then use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to flash a recovery (cwm)
if that doesnt work the use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to relock the bootloader (assuming its unlocked)
once bootloader is relocked flash the HTC AT&T Stock ICS RUU in order to flash the ruu you must first download it on a pc, make sure you have htc drivers-then run the ruu like you would any other pc program...it will walk you through the rest of the way...if for some reason you cant download the ruu from the link above, i got the link from here http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-vivid-att/software-updates
let me know if any of that worked and/or didnt work...

To install RUU:
SW version of RUU must be newer or the same as max version ever installed in the phone(including fota).
CID must match.
Bootloader MUST be relocked.
That is basically it. No point of skipping anything, the bootloader in the phone performs the check there is no way to fool it. Making it s-off is also pointless since RUU flashes new bootloader first, then reboots the device to flash everything else, your phone will become s-on.
How I fix this? JTAG.

Back in the day that I had major issues I did s off and everything then flashed GB ruu and it went fine. Ofc you will still need the correct cid or follow the guide in Dev section on how to flash a ruu with different cid.

It think it is much easier to flash CWM stock rom, then kill recovery and relock bootloader and wait for newer RUU. The phone will be "stock" basically.
And also this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26318550&postcount=2
I could not get to work on the phone after latest FOTA.
Making the phone S-OFF if it does not boot is also a pain in the but))).

Yes s off needs a booting system usually it will fail otherwise. Perhaps using dd commands from recovery or boot loader will do the trick but from me its untested.

I did solve this problem with a purpose brick then riffbox JTAG (full wipe, s-off, deleted recovery partition and relocked boot loader) also i noticed after tagging my phone, i was still curious about why it wasn't flashing the ruu, i downloaded the one dazz provided(ics) and i got an older version (GB) i tried ICS first.. Fail! I tried GB... Success i think it might be a corrupted ruu file, but then again the link that anders gave The ruu didn't work either...

also you need the correct rru, or change your cid in phone, download the latest rru for your CID
also are you on vodaphone?
the latest rru is ICS 2.31.401.2 this may be slightly different for ausie
austrailian cids are:
023 htc
001 hutchinson 3g, optus
021 vodaphone austrailia
The ruu is the correct one (VODAPO21) and it does not let me install ICS based ruu
