I have Rogers Raider with S-ON, custom recovery, and rooted. Although there is no ETA of OTA ICS update for Rogers, I want to have my phone ready. It is my understanding if I have S-ON, I need to flash to stock recovery -->relock bootloader --> RUU.
I have the RUU (RUU_Holiday_Rogers_WWE_1.65.631.1_Radio_1.11.1020.03_30.77.551061.02L_release_219561_signed) but I can't find the stock recovery for Rogers anywhere...
Can someone please let me know where I can get the Rogers stock recovery and how to relock bootloader?
Thank you in advance.

can you get into hboot/fastboot? if you can then use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to flash a recovery (cwm)
if that doesnt work the use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to relock the bootloader (assuming its unlocked)
once bootloader is relocked flash the HTC AT&T Stock ICS RUU in order to flash the ruu you must first download it on a pc, make sure you have htc drivers-then run the ruu like you would any other pc program...it will walk you through the rest of the way...if for some reason you cant download the ruu from the link above, i got the link from here http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-vivid-att/software-updates
let me know if any of that worked and/or didnt work...
i ran the ruu, rooted again and i am still s-off, can u tell me how to proceed

Most probably your problem comes from the fact that you tried to flash a kernel/ROM while S-ON, and the kernel did not got updated, you need to flash the boot.img via fastboot if you are S-ON, so, the best thing you could do right now is to flash a new RUU and start over again.
Note that you need a RUU that is compatible with your CID. There is a guide by stona here that explains how to flash a RUU.
And for more tasks check the tools mentioned above
Thank for the answer..i really appreciate. I have 405 cid...i flashed a European RUU ( RUU_RUNNYMEDE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.2_Radio_20.70.30.0832U_3831.16.00.16_M_release_258303_signed).

So you successfully flashed a RUU and the phone still does not boot? What hboot version do you have now and what is the state of the bootloader? (locked/unlocked/relocked).
Also, please post what version of ROM did you have before this happened and what did you do before this happen?

Did not do on mine. I had ICS before with Hboot 1.28 and it downgraded back to GB because i did not make any backup of ICS. I had unlocked bootloader
and was s-off. That you will need is to relock you bootloader before installing RUU.
Use anders tool or just use adb command fastboot oem lock
But if you get problem then follow the steps with that custom hboot to be S-off. But just if RUU doesnt complete.
I wish i could help you in place. I did many things with my SXL and never bricked. Those phones can take much **** thant you think.
Are you S-ON now?

i ran into simlar issue some days ago , when i was playing with cm10.1 on it , the way ive got it booting , was that wrote in cmd:
fastboot boot recovery.img
then in the same folder you will need cmd.exe and fastboot.exe and 2 .dll files then it will try to boot into the recovery image you have on the pc instead of flashing it . then if that is a no go, and your bootloader is unlocked then write this :
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase cache
then this again:
fastboot boot recovery.img
You can also try :
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then you will need a boot.img in the same folder as the cmd.exe
Hopes that will help you getting something to work again

Your going to have to S-OFF first... You need S-OFF first so that you can lock your boot loader again without it saying "relocked" and "tampered". I'd recommend Revone S-OFF since it does NOT install a custom boot loader and is very easy to use.

I got OTA 4.2.2 on my ONE, which i bought used, was Relocked & Tempered. But now after Revone, I made it S-ON. During the flashing of OTA, the phone restarts itself once, and second time when the OTA is being flashed, it stops midway with a RED exclamation mark.
I am not getting what could be the problem here
Any suggestions....I did not flash any recovery or anything...
I recommend you to root the phone and update the firmware manually and apply a custom rom... Or make sure to follow the exact steps to go back to stock.
I'm pretty sure there are some missing files hence the update doesn't find the right checksum to proceed with the update.
Have you relocked the bootloader? Worth giving that a try if not
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
OTAs will usually fail if any system files are missing. If your phone was debloated at any point, even if it's s-on and relocked, that could be enough to stop the OTA from installing.
To flash an OTA, you typically have to be completely stock.
What do you suggest i should do... Right now doing revone method... I am S-on and bootloader is locked...... I want the official OTA... Amy kind suggestions plz

revone will not take you back to stock. You have to run a RUU for your carrier, or flash a fully stock rom if no RUU is available. For the latter, you need to be unlocked, but you can then relock and should be able to apply the OTA.
Edit: sorry, for the latter, you also have to flash the stock recovery in fastboot. You can find that in the firmware threads, though you'll need to pull recovery.img file out of the zip file.

There's no RUU for your version.
The 1.28.401.7 is for the HTC One UL variant (or was it the U variant?). Anyway the 1.28.401.7 will have a different MID to yours so you can't use that RUU unless you change your MID.
EDIT:
I found the 1.29.401.16.zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43316694&postcount=1157 and use this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40734501&postcount=1 to flash it so you should be back to stock.
