I have Rogers Raider with S-ON, custom recovery, and rooted. Although there is no ETA of OTA ICS update for Rogers, I want to have my phone ready. It is my understanding if I have S-ON, I need to flash to stock recovery -->relock bootloader --> RUU.
I have the RUU (RUU_Holiday_Rogers_WWE_1.65.631.1_Radio_1.11.1020.03_30.77.551061.02L_release_219561_signed) but I can't find the stock recovery for Rogers anywhere...
Can someone please let me know where I can get the Rogers stock recovery and how to relock bootloader?
Thank you in advance.

So I don't have to flash to stock recovery first before relock bootloader and RUU?

No the ruu will install stock recovery during the flash
And sorry did not realize that auto- correct changed relock to hemlock and bootloader to downloader

can you get into hboot/fastboot? if you can then use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to flash a recovery (cwm)
if that doesnt work the use the HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit to relock the bootloader (assuming its unlocked)
once bootloader is relocked flash the HTC AT&T Stock ICS RUU in order to flash the ruu you must first download it on a pc, make sure you have htc drivers-then run the ruu like you would any other pc program...it will walk you through the rest of the way...if for some reason you cant download the ruu from the link above, i got the link from here http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-vivid-att/software-updates
let me know if any of that worked and/or didnt work...
i ran the ruu, rooted again and i am still s-off, can u tell me how to proceed

Have you reflashed the boot.img?
Where Can I find or download a Stock hboot for S-off to return to S-on to re-run the S-off software as I believe I have a bad install, Kernels do not flash in recovery always fails.. Thanks
Do you have an insecure kernel that you flashed in fastboot? If not that may be why kernel is failing in recovery as that happened to me when i ran an ruu a while back

Not Exactly sure, I Downloaded & followed the S-off Instructions and it just reboots back into recovery
I would try flashing a non stock kernel with fastboot and then try flashing the kernel you wanted

Could your recovery just have an issue with flashing kernel? Have you tried a different recovery? Which recovery are you using?
I've used ClockWorkMod v5.5.0.4 (it's non-touch) and I have had no issues with it. If you'd like to try it, here is a mirror:
Filename: CWM-beta2.img (inside the below zip)
http://www.4shared.com/zip/tAZgjz25/CWM-beta2.html
The RUU will probably have the hboot partition file (no?). To get the original from your stock RUU installer: When you run an HTC RUU exe, it takes a little time to extract whatever files it needs. Once you get to the very first step of the RUU (where you get to click buttons), I believe you can go to C:\Users\whoever\AppData\Local\Temp (for Win7 users) and then sort by modified date. You should see a folder that was very recently created. If you poke around in there, you may find a file called "rom.zip". That should be the stock rom from the RUU and the hboot may be in there. Take a look...
But... will this work? is there danger?

Just flash (use recovery) the stock untouched nandroid in my Sig. No need to relock bootloader unless you flashed something else than Roms and kernels...

I got OTA 4.2.2 on my ONE, which i bought used, was Relocked & Tempered. But now after Revone, I made it S-ON. During the flashing of OTA, the phone restarts itself once, and second time when the OTA is being flashed, it stops midway with a RED exclamation mark.
I am not getting what could be the problem here
Any suggestions....I did not flash any recovery or anything...
I recommend you to root the phone and update the firmware manually and apply a custom rom... Or make sure to follow the exact steps to go back to stock.
I'm pretty sure there are some missing files hence the update doesn't find the right checksum to proceed with the update.
Have you relocked the bootloader? Worth giving that a try if not
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
OTAs will usually fail if any system files are missing. If your phone was debloated at any point, even if it's s-on and relocked, that could be enough to stop the OTA from installing.
To flash an OTA, you typically have to be completely stock.
What do you suggest i should do... Right now doing revone method... I am S-on and bootloader is locked...... I want the official OTA... Amy kind suggestions plz

revone will not take you back to stock. You have to run a RUU for your carrier, or flash a fully stock rom if no RUU is available. For the latter, you need to be unlocked, but you can then relock and should be able to apply the OTA.
Edit: sorry, for the latter, you also have to flash the stock recovery in fastboot. You can find that in the firmware threads, though you'll need to pull recovery.img file out of the zip file.
Can some one help me find the correct RUU for me... I have posted the screen shot...

There's no RUU for your version.
The 1.28.401.7 is for the HTC One UL variant (or was it the U variant?). Anyway the 1.28.401.7 will have a different MID to yours so you can't use that RUU unless you change your MID.
EDIT:
I found the 1.29.401.16.zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43316694&postcount=1157 and use this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40734501&postcount=1 to flash it so you should be back to stock.

Do you have TWRP or CWM recovery installed?
If yes that is the problem. To update you need to be on stock recovery.

So if I flash the custom hboot from rumrunner, and say I need to return the device to sprint, for whatever reason, do i simply reflash the ruu to return to stock? or do i have to first flash the stock hboot? Im sure this is a stupid question, but I wanna make sure.

Yes and no. Your custom hboot and recovery will be replaced with the stock one, but your phone will still read s-off and unlocked. I suggest that you flash this hboot, you'll look completely stock, locked, s-on. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565201

Oh okay thank you, thats all I needed to know
Can I flash this hboot over using a stock rooted 3.05.651.6 rom being s-off? Or is it only good for 3.04.651.2 roms. I currently have the moonshine hboot but want to upgrade to something that compatible with windows 8.1.

Yes you can. Hboot is completely indipendent from the ROM

Yeah he's right about that. Specifically since both Rom versions from stock use the same hboot version.
