Hello All,
I've been trying to back up my ROM using CWM but it always stopped with display like this:
CWM v 5.0.2.7
Waiting for SD card to mount (20s)
SD card mounted...
Verifying SD card marker...
SD card marker not found...
Checking internal SD card marker...
/temp/recovery.log was copied to /sdcard/clockworkmod/recovery.log. Please open ROM manager to report the issue
May i know why is this happening? I used to be able to back up easily before, and the last thing i did was flashing (full-wipe) Chracks ROM then flashing file ICS+Domination_v1.1+Galaxy+Note+UNIVERSAL.zip for the theme here.
Any advise would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.

are you using CW touch recovery?
it seems that the CW touch recovery isn't compatible with CWM from chainfire
i flash the Redpill touch recovery kernel, problem gone.
Thanks for your input pal, really appreciate it here
Yeah it was quite frustating, anyway once i flashed back Chracks ROM v14 + Jkay 13.6.1 and back up using same method, everything turns normal again.

I read ur forum on partitioning SD card for app2sd n I seem to be having a similar problem. I recently flashed amon ra 1.6.2 thru clockwork mod on my HTC hero...I was trying to install a custom Rom cm 6.2 stable. I booted into recovery n did a nand backup n it worked fine. But when I chose the option to install zip from SD card it said no zip found. That was after I did a complete wipe of the system data. And as I tried to restore the nand backup I get n error message saying the directory cannot be found. So now I'm completely stuck. I was wondering wat I can do at this point. I was reading about partitioning the SD card n I was thinking I should try ur suggestion...I already tried rebooting several times n still the same problem. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Re-partition SD card = wipe all data off card. Sounds like you wiped your card of the back-up image as well as the .zip file for the ROM. Is that what you did?
Do you have an external card reader? Is there a .zip file on the card?
Hello Forum, this is my first time with an android phone/rooting and I really need some help with ROM manager/ClockworkMod.
I have an internal SD card memory which has the backup/new ROM that I want to install/backup/load but everytime I try to install it, it would go into ClockWorkMod and try to mount for twenty seconds
Waiting for SD Card to mount (20s..)
SD Card Marker not found..
Checking internal Card Marker (<-------- This is where the ROM should be)
not found.. continuing anyways
Error verifying extendedcommand.
Error processing ROM Manager script...
And I wouldn't be able to move anywhere from where I am now.
I currently have CM7 installed and I want to revert back to the stock ROM for LG. I understand that FLASHING would do the trick, but the problem is installing. I can't get anything to install, therefore I wouldn't be able to install the stock.
HELP!
TL;DR - SD Card doesn't mount, neither external nor internal. Can't install anything, can't flash.
I think I had same problem.. Cwm wants to instal ROM from e directory and e directory is external sd card for me its Just Old 1gb card from my nokia where i keep backup now.. My solution is try to put ur ROM or back up on ext card and Flash.. Hope it will work.

I have managed to screw up my internal SD mounting a couple of times in the past, and I had to use NVflash to get it working again. I'm afraid you've probably lost the backup that was on the internal SD.
It is possible that Smartflash might do the same trick and it would take you back to a current stock rom, but I find NVflash easier to use - just flash v10b, then flash CWM, then restore from external SD or flash your new rom.
It's one of the great things about this phone that you can always get it working again so long as the hardware is ok.
Hi guys, I have the following issue. I installed a SD card but when plug-in it to my computer only the internal SD would show ( I was expecting both ), then I went to Storage on the phone and it was showing there, so I chose format in case that cuold help but now it's gone from there too
Anyway, since I can't seem to fix that for now, can I copy a rom into the internal SD and flash it? I don't know if CWM will be able to search there or if a certain wipe will format my internal SD.
Help would'be much appreciated.
recent versions of CWM have an option in the zip-flashing menu for flashing from internal storage.
I created a folder named CM in th internal sd and flash everything from there. Just remember the folder and you can moce item with root broswer or directly download there. In my case /mnt/sdcard/cm

I was on stock froyo V10a, anyway after a couples of tries a notification that the sd card was corrupted popped and gave me the option to format it once again, this time it worked.
So solved, thanks guys.
More comments on my new little issue would be much appreciated
Ummm
I had just rooted my galaxy S the other day using CF-root and it comes with superuser, CWM and tweaks after rooting.
After that I've flashed my ROM to CM10 M2.
After one day of use, my external SD card is giving me errors like it always do and ask me to format it. So I did since I'm pretty sure I saved nothing inside it. However after the format I realized all my original files, CWM and tweak is missing from the app list, and also my nandroid backups.
Is CWM saved in the external SD card? I'm sure I did not mount in my SD card during the rooting and flashing process, and I did not move CWM to external SD either. OR did i accidentally formatted my internal SD instead?
How can I install back my CWM and tweaks?

most likely you formated the internal SD card, if external SD card needs formating often, would be due to imitation SD card , so remove it or replace it.
To get CWM back, flash the CF root again and do what you did before to get the tweaks

I've always have this sd card problem no matter how many times i changed my sd card..
I flashed it with Odin, so do I repeat the process again? Is that fine? I'm new on this, was thinking of flashing with Odin again but afraid that re-rooting might cause problems

If you flashed the ROM with Odin, your rooting kernel would have been replaced with the stock kernel, so rooting again with CF will not be a problem

one problem though, when I first started CF root my build version is JVH, but now after the cm10 flash my build version is something JZO54K. Is it save to re-root the JVH version?
the build number is XXJVT, should I download the JVT zip instead for the re-rooting with odin?
Hi,
I am having an issue that I'd hope you would be able to help me with. I flashed CyanogenMod10, and everything was doing fine, smooth performance, reboots with no problems, but then suddenly one day it went bricked. I restored through the SmartFlashTool Method, and got back to the stock Rom with everything working except for the SD card.
I have tried out various stock ROMs and none seemed to recognize the SD card, outputting a message of "SD card removed. Please insert a new one."; getting on to ADB when trying to mount the SDcard I get this message "mounting /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 on /sdcard failed: No such file or directory", and while trying to mount the SD card in CWM Recovery, it tells me "E: Can't mount sdcard", and when I try to mount USB storage through CWM, I get "E:Unable to write to ums lunfile(no such file or directory)", and when trying to mount /sdcard on CWM I get a "Error mounting /sdcard" message... I hope people at XDA would be able to help me since I have been lurking through the forums and internet without any good answer. :highfive:
I was able to mount the SD card through ClockWorkMod Recovery v5.0.2.6, but again, barely at random times when it works, and after installing a ROM those times, the phone usually works for one hour or two and then gets bricked again. I can not have access to another CWM version since I need an SD card to flash it. To install CWM I am using a patched .bin and .fls files in the SmartFlashTool method of unbricking. When the SD card gets recognized, I can even reboot the phone and still get the SD card to be recognized. The SD card problems don't happen until the random bricks after flashing a ROM. :fingers-crossed:
I have also tried using several functioning SD cards of different capacities formatted in NTFS, FAT32 and exFAT with no luck. I am also not willing to go back to stock since it is buggy and lags a lot compared to CM7, CM10 and every other custom rom I have tried. :crying:
Thank you for any help you could provide me, or if you have any answer for this problem,
Pablo Lujambio

Yes I did try that last time but I only seem to get a "Can't mount sdcard" error. I haven't been able to get the phone to recognize any SD card on v10a, v20a, nor v20b stock roms.
