[Q] SPB TV on Galaxy tab

Hi to all
Had anyone managed to use SPB TV without problem using WIFI only?
I had installed SPB TV, I see the channels, when I choose a channel I see the guide, and the thumbnail of the channel, but when I press to see the picture ( channel streaming ) I have black picture, buffering is always at 0%
I use it with WIFI only
Everything else, Youtube, internet is working fine

You are using Galaxy Tab?
Why is not working with mine? have you any idea?
The same application in my iphone is working fine. using the same wifi
I have installed the same application in a chinese tablet having eclair 2.1 and it is not working. Same problem as the tab.

It works flawlessly for me on wifi, but very badly on 3G. I usually get 3 bars 3G signal, so the signal can't get much better. Still poo though.

I dont use 3G, and I had disabled the use of 3g for data. For me streaming through wifi is not possible, I cannot find the reason why, Running the same application through my pc and iphone is working fine using the same network.

Yes, I use it on my GT and an HTC HD2.
Hard to figure out why yours isn't working as there's really no option to set up in this program.
It requires a reliable 3G or WiFi conection to work, and while wifi at home should always be reliable, when connected to 3G I often get the channel logo, the guide and "instant picture" but then clicking on it I may get this error message: "impossible to connect to the TV server, check your internet connection".
But no buffer shows.
Maybe it's your wifi modem firewall problem so you have to open a special gate.

Streaming protocols for tablet might be different from phone and blocked for some reason.
Try on another WiFi and make sure you have the latest build of SPB TV

I installed it on mine last night and it works fine, though it`s mostly non English channels.

Very strange, I want you to do the above test to check through the broswer if you follow the links if you have picture, and with what application
I have no message about connection problem. I use Rottohammers Rom V2 but I don't think this is the problem.
I had sent a message in the SPB support, I will sent you the answers and the details of my case, If you have any idea.
I had tested it in three devices 2 tablets, iphone, and my PC

Very very strange what is happening here....
I tried it using 2 broswers, The stock and the Dolhin, I used 3 applications to open the streams, Stock Video application, mVideo Player, and Vplayer.
ALL SEVEN LINKS gives NO PICTURE ( Black picture ) Very strange.....
I tried to open all 7 links using VLC player on my PC running windows 7 and all links are playing Video very good.
I don't know what to guess
Using your windows application, I have very good picture on my PC
Using your iphone application , I have good picture on my iphone
Using the same application in my Galaxy Tab and in another Chinese tablet gives NO PICTURE
Since VLC on my PC has picture means that ISP has no problem ( My Pc is connected to my router with LAN cable and a static IP )
iphone and the 2 tablets are connected wireless to the same router with DHCP, Why iphone is working and not the tabs running android?
My router is very good one a Draytek Vigor 2710n I double checked, not changes are made to close rtsp streams ( There is no such choice in setup )
I tried to connect to the net with another access point I have a NETGEAR the same problem. ( The NETGEAR is only access point and it is connected to my Draytek Modem-router-Wifi, through a LAN cable,So if something is blocked in the modem, the NETGEAR will not give access I guess... )
I will going to be crazy, what else might be the cause of the problem??????

I'd suggest backing up your existing ROM and trying a wipe.
It may well be you have an application blocking access.
Of course, if you don't have ClockworkMod on your Tab, this is going to be a pain, but it's still probably the best course of action at this stage.
FWIW, I'm running the MoDaCo ROM, and SPB TV works perfectly for me. I was surprised to find it was a free app now, as I purchased it ages ago on my Hero, but never bothered installing it on my later phones/tablet.

If you read my post you will see that SPB TV it is not working
in my Galaxy Tab, a Chinese Tablet running Eclair 2.1, and in the virtual PC Running Android SDK
So I think it is not ROM problem.. Roto V2 runs fine in my Tab
Please make the test above with the link sent to me by SPB support, to tell me the results, if with the stock broswer, and the stock video player you have picture folowing the links

I did read your post! If you *read* my post, you will see that SPB TV *is* working for me. Therefore, testing the links you provided is a pointless exercise, because naturally I'd expect them to work if the app does, but regardless of this I've tested and yes they are fine. I also never stated that it was a ROM problem - I said that another application may be blocking access.
So - what have we established:
1. There is nothing wrong with the application on my Galaxy Tab
2. There is nothing wrong with streams on my Galaxy Tab
3. Other than you, everyone else who has posted on this thread is not having issues with SPB TV on their Galaxy Tabs.
This doesn't help you at all unless you are prepared to take some advice and actually try something different.
Blithely stating it is not a ROM problem when it quite possibly is is just nonsense, when thus far everyone else who has posted on this thread has said that it works for them!

Hi my friend thanks for the detailed answer.
I said that I think it is not rom problem, because, SPB TV is not working in my chinese tab running eclair 2.1, and also in my PC running android sdk Froyo 2.2 virtual PC.
So if the application was running in the other two devices, it was sure, that something was going in my GalaxyTab
From the SPB tech they told me to open some ports, but I don't think this is the reason. Ports in the router are opened if you want others access something in your network
So the next thing to do is check the application in another network outside mine
Perhaps it is my ISP problem...
I had tried also to open the ports but no success.
I don't know what other to check my router is a Draytek Vigor 2710N

works for me too

Roto JMIv2 and everything works fine here, both on 3g and wifi.
Can't really imagine what kind of issue you stumbled upon...

Finally it is my router problem. I tried an old and cheaper roouter I had and it works fine, now in my router a draytek vigor vpn, i try to find out what is blocking rtsp. I had not set any blocking, I had emailed the Draytek Vigor support, to tell me how to fix the problem, only if I put the tabs ip in Dmz host it works, but I want the Dmz host for my Dvr.

BlueTooth & MiniCM7

Actually I am using MiniCM and NaA Kernel, never used the bluetooth in this SE phone, but today I tried to send a file to my computer, but my computer never find my phone, my phone find the PC but can not send the file....what am i doing wrong. Do I need any specific app?.
As I remember in the past, was easy to send a file, just turn BT on, select the file and viola .
Any tip, suggestion, comment is welcome.

You need to make your phone visible by checking the box 'visible' (or sth like that) in bluetooth settings...
If this doesnt cause the problem then i cant help you...

Same problem here
Same problem on my X8.
Bluetooth process crashes while connecting to the other device.
nAa Kernel + MiniCM7
No problems on GingerDX.

[Q] LG Optimus Black Touch Problem

Hello everyone. I have a LG Optimus Black and my touchscreen broke. I have bought another one and had someone replace it. The problem was that the person who tried to change my touchscreen turned out to be a complete idiot , because he pulled the old touchscreen connector out of the mainboard with the socket still connected ! So the socket has been broken from the mainboard. I went to several people to try and fix it but no one wants that kind of work . Ok , but my main problem isn`t the phone , it`s the Phonebook that i am more interested in . How can i pull the phonebook out of the phone . I have a lot of important numbers there and they all saved in the phone . The phone works , but no touchscreen. When i try to connect via USB , it tells me that i need to select USB Sync . Please help me . Thank you.

What about OSP (onscreenphone), maybe you can still access your phone like this Didnt you sync it with your google account? If you synced, it should be there, when you sync it with another phone.

OSP should work. You can remote your phone without touching your phone.

Export phonebook to microSD.

p.s If you want to connect via a USB, make sure that the "Mass storage only" checkbox is deselected.

It should be installed already, when there was a stock software on the cellphone... If you had CM7 running, it probably was not on the phone...

Phone keeps resetting and losing connection

OK. I tether my internet to my PC when I use the USB it resets all the time when I tether wifi my computer cuts out says limited access even though my phone has full reception and hasn't changed anything I'm running sgs 2 v11.2 do I need to change roms

The [ROM]SGSII JB ROM v11.2 [7/3/2013] is based on stock and does supports USB tethering.
Bear in mind that the firewall must be properly configured.
Just in case you could try any USB tethering application from the market.

thankyou i tryed but all the apps i try say started with errors or dont work at all can you suggest one to me that will work either wifi or usb

You could try Barnacle Wifi Tether from the market.
Good luck.

You could also try Easy Tether from the play store. I have used it when switching from windows to linux, and it worked really well.

[Q] LG On Screen Phone

I've used LG On Screen Phone (OSP) without any problems with ICS.
But I can not connect to the phone neither via USB nor Wifi on v20A official.
On ICS, there was an option in settings where I could enable OSP and set a password.
On JB, I can not find such an option.
There is only one option to enable OSP via Wifi.
Has anyone used OSP with Jelly Bean?

Yes, i used osp (over wifi) on v20a official.. Worked little laggy, but.. worked

Is it possible to set a password in settings?

I've tried with a pc with Windows 7 and 8
Any solution?

It works for me but I have to sometimes connect/disconnect the WiFi then uncheck/check OSP in the settings.

Hi, i've solved the issue in this way:
1) i've done the first connection by Hotspot
2) after this i've disabled the hotspot and the wifi connection is now working :fingers-crossed:

CMIIW, when still on ICS we can use bluetooth for LG OSP, can't we?

Hi, is there a Team Viewer QS for this phone?

Alternatively, you may consider using this on screen phone tool called "My Mobiler".
It works with most phone that I have tested and allow you to tune the display in case of refresh rate or display quality issue.
It has been around for quote some time already.
