I am a lil confused
There are many developers and many versions also coming up...but they are all working together...
so where are we headed??..is there a 2.2 for X1 and is there a ROM for X1 also???
PS: i lve the smiley

this is the development section so only for developers.
if you want to post other things wait until there is a general section about android on x1
and to answer your question, there is probable never going to be a completely working android rom.
developers are only trying to fix things because they like to play with it, as a hobby.

[Q] Seperate group of Optimus 2x Android Development for P990 and SU660?

Hi there,
I've been wondering if there could be a separated Menu for Optimus 2x Android Development for P990 and SU660.
We all know that their roms are mostly not compatible to one another. I will help filtering much easier and less bricking for phone.
Hope you also think the same.

+1. haha. i find it difficult to find custom roms even tutorials how to do it. i know there are some chinese and korean sites that have it. but i can never understand it

agree with this...its a pain in the a$$ finding custom roms fitted for SU660...most of P990 roms are not compatible, if it works got some issues(internal/sd card) issue

i am doing some builds for this unit and you could go to our local forum TCP for updates..

You should make this request to the forum mod.

Hey Samsung Galaxy S users as you all know that many developers have switched from our phone and since there are very good developers left here.I wanted to see if how many of you are interested to do something new for our phone.
I am just looking for developers I have some ideas to work around.

So i have been laghtly realy into flashing roms and ive had a few already.
-Carbon Rom
-Parandroid
-Supernexus
-CM10
Now i have been getting pretty bored with these so i whas wondering if you guys knew any new ones that are fun and good looking.
I prefer something over either the touchwiz interface because that doesnt change a lot from before i started flashing roms

You won't believe how bored developers are about posts like yours.
This is a really thankful attitude which you show for the endless hours of work the devs put in their roms.
Try to contribute something useful, help other users or stay out of dev-section.
At least learn to read, write and show some gratefulness.
Your question should be adressed to Delphic's oracle. Who the f*ck should know what you find less boring.

Want something new and exciting? Why not try "Ubuntu for phones" (http://www.ubuntu.com/phone)? That is something totally new and something which you'll not fond in the forums here. Also it will save the hard working developers here from the thankless rants.

AOSP Rom's is there a point?

MODS PLEASE MOVE THIS POST. I AM SORRY FOR POSTING IT IN THE WRONG SECTION.
I don't mean to be a downer on people who've done the hard work in porting or making a working custom rom but is there point to AOSP Roms if there is no working camera? I mean isn't it a pretty big functionality that needs to be working for the ROMS to be actually released as working?
Perhaps maybe its just me who thinks if you buy the Z1 based on the fact that it has a good camera you'd want that one minor feature.
Just a thought I decided to share.
(PS: When I say camera isn't working I mean complete functionality not "It just can't focus. It does work!"

Now you have seen the point of the Q&A thread (i.e. its a place for posting questions that is better than the original dev forum) I think its time to answer your question.
the point is this is a developers forum, for developers and by developers. Not every single rom in this forum is a finished article but are works in progress. They are not here for you to be able to pick through and make your phone "cool"
They are here as on going pieces of work for people to help develop and work on.

Well, work done now doesn't have to be done in the future anymore so if they iron out all the issues already that saves a lot of time in the future right? Sure, without a working camera there will not be a lot of people using them, but I still hope sony fixes this issue in the future and when they do we at least have a bit to choose from already.
That and the fact that it might be more for themselves, to develop and get some experience or work on things, then for the end user.
