Poll : Which Custom Rom you are running?
Not trying to be funny, but many people here change roms more than they changed their underwear. So the poll will be flawed.
Very true. I was on Doc's a couple days ago, then went to Darky's 9.5, and yesterday changed to Simply Galaxy Sweet Honey
1) Is this post development? I don't think so.
2) Is this post necessary? I don't think so.
3) As previously stated, is this poll accurate? I don't think so.

Yes you are right that people are always on the move.....I know this will be not 100% accurate but at least at this instance of time it can give us an idea (say 80% accuracy) about Market Trend (means popularity of rom) at this time (lets say Mar/Apr 2011) with current available ROMs. It may change in a month or two. But then in next quarter we may run another poll...

This thread should be in General.. that's why you'll not have a good answer here. (It's typically "noobish" to post questions or poll here, unless it's for developping something by yourself or with some dudes..)
And, on my opinion that's useless, all custom rom or more or less the same : A Sammy Rom deodexed and zipaligned, changements are tweaks... it's made me laugh when in themes OP specify it's for Doc's or Darkyy (of course it will works on both, only version/region is important).
For me no matter which rom you're using, it's Android.
If there is just one difference, it's between CM/MIUI AOSP based roms and Sammy'roms.
Same for kernels, it's just more or less functions and geeking/tweaking.

iv been using Docs rom for about a week or two now xwjs8 with ADW Launcher barely lags when im not using it.Darky's rom's are gr8 but in the last 3 weeks they've got a little hard to flash and full of stuff i don't use and a little buggy a few times messed up my phone couldn't flash froyo had to revert to eclair kitchen roms are good i can flash them with my eyes closed im waiting for a Stable GB from Darky see what's not
Ive seen how people be all rude and moody about a simple question like "which rom is the best" and personally -_- whats so hard about helping a guy out with which rom people find more stable with less bugs... Some people actually have a life as to be going in on every thread read every post and try every rom to try and see which rom is best because a comunity forum is too moody as to give a simple answer like " i think you should try cm7 or aokp" goshh its that simple thank you and your welcome

because if u ask who has the best ROM, person 1 will say ROM1 is the best, person2 will say ROM2 is the best ect. ect, and if the ROM devs adds their inputs they will say their ROM is the best then you'll end up with a bunch of ROMs that are the best and it ends up pointless

I just came across a beautiful ROM, called Mokee ROM, but it was based on CM7 which gives poor battery life but the Interface for this was so beautiful, so i just wanted to ask is it Possible to remove only CM7 from the ROM??
It might seems stupid but i don't have enough knowledge about ROM's so just asking the community!
That really is quite an idiotic question
CM7 is the base rom that has been modified to give you all those animations and UI features, you can't have them without the CM7. Its a one whole package buddy, you can't have one without the other.
What you can do is request the developer is to make a similar rom based on stock instead of CM, that is if its even possible to do that.
You should read more about android, it'll give you a better understanding of the android software and what the developers are doing here. Atleast start with basic terminologies like CM7.2, rom, stock firmware, kernel etc.

Yup. He's right. If you try to remove CM7 from that ROM (which isn't even possible) you'll end up with no system at all.
See, when someone creates a rom, most of them don't start from scratch. They just modify somethings to make it better. And publish their ROM. If you don't like the ROM. You can try making your own. Look up developer 101 by xenon x. Will give you a good understanding.

Nobody's calling you dumb man, most of us are trying to explain why this is an invalid question and guiding you to what you can do to get all your features without the CM in it.
You read more, come back here after a few weeks and even you will be wondering why you asked that.

No point in having this thread. Every rom has its rights and user. You can try and find out yourself. There are only handful of ROMs. Important thing is still 4.2.1 is not that ready yet. If you want, try OFFICIAL NIGHTLIES FROM CM10.1 or Asylum(cm10.1) or Stunner 2.0(AOKP) which I have used before. I might have missed out some here but never tried them. My choice would be a Stunner... . Please feel free to try them and find out yourself rather than somebody suggesting you to. After all they are here to download and try. Good luck.

I don't think this should be in Q&A, as it's a question that's meant to generate discussion and comment. It could easily have been rephrased as - "Comparisons between 4.2.1 ROMS". It doesn't have a question mark at the end, so now it's OK even though it would be discussing the same thing? Or it could have been a "POLL: Best 4.2.1 ROM", and it'd be ok?
And yes, we can tell people to go try all the ROMs out there, but what's the harm in someone asking for other users comments on their experiences? Afterall, isn't this meant to be a place of discussion? I've found it enormously useful to have discussions like the OP is asking for, and it'd be a shame that these discussions don't take place anymore.
To try to contribute to the OP's question - I've used Asylum and have loved it. It has saved my Note. Had been very frustrated with the lag that came with the TW ROMs but now it's brought my Note back to life again. I've been wanting to try Stunner, and based on Galaxtus' comment that he prefers Stunner the most, I will give that ROM a try too. (So thank you, Galaxtus for that very helpful comment!).

1. There is no "best" ROM
2. There are many JB ROMS around here (well, at least a few), so you gotta be more specific
3. The 10 posts mark is exactly to avoid stuff like this in the dev-section, so ...
You can get over the mark easily though just by trying to help people, asking good(!) questions or share your thoughts in the right thread for it. Stuff like this just makes it crowded, U know Don't wanna scare you off, just make things clear, cause people can get pissed easily here on xda.

This problem was already "cleared" up
that is the best greeting i ever had...actually i have been in XDA for about a year ago...i've try out many of rom in this XDA..and i really thankful to this XDA..when new rom was out,i just follow other's comment to know what proper bug by other's..i think many people will do the same as what i did a year ago..im trying to help other's,but i cant leave a single comment..so started to follow XDA RULES..(sorry for bad english)

If you like sth, you can go to our famos Off-Topic thread, we share EVERYTHING there And next time just be a lil more specific about your setup if you wanna recommend sth, cause like that it will not help anybody (-> ROM, kernel, mods, we wanna know everything)
