[Q] Gingerbread for Captivate????

Does samsung already released a fully functional gingerbread for galaxy s Captivate?
if yes: can i download it through kies?
if no: they havent say any release date or anything?

Hmm.... Did you not understand no?

Simple answer is if you would have searched it would have led you to your answers. The custom roms are about as close as you will get to Gingerbread. From the looks of things the captivate will not get gingerbread other then in ported or custom roms.

Best Miui Kernel

I'm thinking about trying out Miui from Cyanogenmod. I've heard that the battery life is pretty damn good on Miui but what is the best kernel?
I'm using Tiamat 1.1.4 for Cyanogenmod but can I use it for Miui also?

yes you can use it with miui as well ( i m using it)
Besides that there is lord clockan's kernel as well.

its individual choice u see...

A sense based kernel will never work on a non-sense based rom !
We are talking about Lord Clockan's cm7 kernel:

I think it will have a non sense rom but the other kernels are alot better for the htc incredible s

Could I ask you about radios?
I'm using the 3805.06.03.03_M radio that came with phone. Is there any need for me the change and will it affect that the Miui rom is ICS and that radio came with gingerbread?

It wont affect much. however if you feel it doesnt work very well ( i mean the reception and sms delays) switch to the one posted in my sig.
That is an old one btw...i had sms delay issues on that.

Ok so I just put the zip file on my sd card and install it like anyother rom or kernel?
Also is this radio the same for everyone over the world?
Will it effect me going back to a stock rom if i need to send my phone for warrenty?

Yup..thus a CONCEPT rom..

I've already decided not to try anymore ics custom roms ( yeah i know that's not gonna effect you devs )
I really dont think that new ics based roms would get success..
devs may think out of the box. should try to do something unique
Just a suggestion ( don't eat my head )

There was a series or a single rom idk by Xperience.cyanogen...some features were new in that...we need more of that..

Yeah so thats where the inventiveness of the devs comes in..imagine a new android version.. no one's version would be considered wrong..

How about roms having a whole new layout, i mean people have started to get bored with the ics layouts and themes, everybody loves a change.

Honeycomb isn't likely because:
1. The sources in AOSP are untagged + unbranched
2. The sources are not complete
Windows 8 is far more unlikely because:
1. The sources were never released

Windows 8 looks almost exactly like WP7 and Honeycomb sounds good but I doubt anyone would be interested into making it as popular and good as ICS.

why do you need touchwiz in kitkat? ACtually, touchwiz is proven to use more resources than other launchers. I recommend to use a differente launcher like nova laucher.
