Comment lire un DVD sur une Samsung Galaxy Tab

Applications gratuites,

How to play a DVD on a Samsung Galaxy

Tips and Tricks

The Galaxy Tab is capable of performing many tasks and can prove to be an excellent audio and video player for your adventures or just at home.
Let's look at the video portion. Indeed, if we know a lot Android for its ability to go online, the system can also be entertained provided you use the right tools.
I will explain a trick to play a DVD on a Galaxy Tab. And everything is totally free. This tip is valid for the Galaxy Tab 7, Tab 10.1 and Galaxy 8.9.
In reality, this is not the DVD that you will read but its private copy and for legal questions, you must have the original DVD. Reading is local, that is to say, made from the hard drive, memory card or storage media connected to USB. The move by the network application of other features that will be another one next section.
What tools?
To play a DVD on a Galaxy Tab, you need a computer with Windows Vista or 7 with a DVD player, free software MakeMKV, the free application VPlayer (MX Player can also do the trick) and your movie to disc DVD format.
MakeMKV software creates a digital copy of your hard leaving free choice on the video tracks, subtitles and audio to save. Thus, you keep all options offered by the DVD format. This is convenient but conversely, the resulting file is almost as large as the original contents of the DVD. Expect to get files between 4 and 8 GB
The free VPlayer can play digital video files in MKV format. It allows selection and display of languages and subtitles. Perhaps the opportunity to learn a new language? The free MX Player also enables these features. Both applications are very comprehensive. They are available in Android Market.
Finally, visit the Android Market to download the application VPlayer ARM7 or MX Player ARM7 to obtain optimum performance for your tablet.
How?
To play a DVD on a Galaxy Tab, we must first create a copy of the film on the computer. First download, install and run the software MakeMKV.
Make sure the disc is in the virtual drive in the software interface.
Then click the DVD icon button with an arrow to a hard disk.
A few minutes later, you have the choice of video tracks, audio and subtitles.
Check the ones you want to keep.
On the right side of the interface, browse your hard drive to select the directory where the movie file will be saved.
Then click the Make MKV green arrow.
Several minutes later, according to the power of your computer, you get your film in digital video format MKV. Computer, reads the file with VLC Player.
Copy the file to a memory card or internal memory of your tablet.
Download, install and start the application VPlayer (or MX Player) on your Samsung Galaxy.
Your video should appear in the playlist of the application.
Simply click it to start reading.
To change language, click the three dots at the top right of the screen and open the Audio tab. Select the desired language. To change the subtitle, open the Text tab and select Tracks. Note that it is possible to change their locations, positions, colors, sizes and styles.
The application also offers many options for both technical and ergonomic.
For the technique, normally, the default settings are sufficient.
For usability, enable for example as Gestures in the Misc tab of the Settings. Thus, during playback of video, slide your finger near the left edge to change the screen brightness. Slip near the right edge changes the volume.
If by chance, the video was not at the maximum of the screen, pinch to expand the image horizontally to the edges to the left and right or the pinch to stretch the image vertically upwards and downwards .
Practice, the screen can be locked by clicking the padlock.
In conclusion
This is not the only way to read a DVD locally on the Galaxy Tab. Indeed, using backup software for PC, you can choose different formats that may have the advantage of occupying less space but may offer fewer options.
The idea here was to present a simple, relatively quick, efficient and quality to enjoy your own DVDs (of course) on the tablet from Samsung.
Great, I appreciate your help. I will follow these steps and get back to you. Thanks again.

the best way it's to make a mp4 or avi from DVD.
I recommend a program called "FairUse" the light version is free
Hi,
Just use Google Traduction
Best regard
try freemake best free vid converter
Thank you all for the suggestions. I am going to try both FairUse and Freemake. I've noticed though that a lot of this freeware is restricted as far as the extent of what it will do. I do believe that my Samsung tablet supports both DivX and WMV ( i think mp4 also)..I have a torrent that I uploaded called AVS Converter, I cracked it and have a "registered version" however for some reason when I try to convert the MKV files I created to WMV or MP4 using the AVS software, it doenst start converting, it just counts elapsed time and nothing actually happens. I wish there was a way that IT WOULD WORK FOR SURE, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Isnt google supposed to offer a cloud service for movies soon...? That would be amazing. The only problem with that is I would need a wifi connection and most of the time I use my tablet on a plane and good ol' Southwest Airlines doesnt have wifi...
I would like to take a DVD, convert it to a transferable file (whether its protected or not, you would think now a days there is a way around this..I mean, I own the movie already, I paid for it, why cant I transfer it to my "effing" tablet)....there has to be ways around it.
Actually, the best solution is converting DVD to Galaxy Tab 8.9 supported video formats such as MP4. Here Brorsoft DVD Ripping software for Galaxy Tab 8.9 can do this job perfectly, including all commercial DVDs encrypted by CSS. When it comes to ripping DVD, the ripping speed is the biggest concern for users. Many guys couldn't bear the slow speed and give up. Fortunately, this DVD to Galaxy Tab 8.9 Converter is quite outstanding for this issue.

opera mini 5.1 as main browser opera 9.7 as backup opera 10 sucks (uses too much memory), and pocket ie? don't even mention it. forget flash on winmo, it won't work. even if you get it implemented to your browser, it will be flash 7. but every page these days needs at least flash 8, if not higher.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770 is that possible to get opera 9.7 with flash support on the xperia x1?
it has been possible in the past, but it never really worked on all pages, just some. if you read the last 2 pages of that thread, you'd understand that the guy who made this mod stopped developing it. less and less pages accept the flash-version you could get with it. if you want flash on your mobile, get an android-phone. and for good experience, better make it a dual-core cpu...

mini 5.1 normally shows the page you entered, if it's desktop-version, it will show desktop-version. but there are some pages which detect it's mini and automatically send you to their mobile version. i use latest 9.7.36053 from a leaked oboe-rom. download is here @ post #3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486502 also read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16577303&postcount=2742
whow its faster and looks really good but this version has bugs and i cant find the turbo when i want to write with the hardware keyboard into the adress bar it doesnt works i can only write one letter, then it stops.. just softkeyboard works fine... the normal 9.7 beta version doesnt have this keyboard problem but also doesnt looks that fine...is there a solution or version that looks like the one you linked without problems on the xperia x1 and is it possible to watch youtube videos with the opera 9.7?
From my experience Opera mini 5 is actually the same functionally as Opera Mobile 10 (any differences?) BUT it draws pages/fonts so much faster that the Mobile should be forgotten Don't know why is it like that but just the Mini version is much faster(without turbo function I think). Mobile 10 seems to has some problem in drawing fonts, maybe 9.7 has that fixed?
i use mostly opera mini with 3G/HSDPA or when i don't need page quality, bust just speed... so as caliban, my backup browser is Opera Mobile 9.7. the main difference between those 2 browsers (mobile and mini) is that in Opera Mini, the Opera Presto browser engine is located on a server. In Opera Mobile, it is installed on your phone. so, a server can process the site faster than our 528MHz CPU, but the site is processed almost the same for all devices using this browser... that's why mini is faster than mobile. But opera mobile, despite of the speed, is better(at least for me), it uses a real time connection, it has JavaScript, and if you edit some things in opera:config you will love this browser. sorry for any language and/or grammar-related errors... greetings from Romania

Sony Xperia 1 ii - How to get Google Assistant to play music from local app?
Hi all I prefer not to use a "music service". Why should I jump on the "I've got a six billion gigs a monthly package" bandwagon? I have my own music in high-quality FLAC and MP3's at 320kbps sitting my Sandisk microSD (I always use Sandisk). Whilst driving my old beautiful car, I use my phone, a Sony Xperia Z5 E6833, for nav and music via Bluetooth to my car's sound system. This works well, at least it did until I got my new Xperia 1 ii when Google Assistant only would allow me to choose a music service. I tried a boatload of different settings, a dozen hard resets, spoke to Sony support and they asked me to return the phone to the Sony Service Centre which I did and when I got the phone back a week later, no difference at all. Sony support has been a little frustrating as they eventually referred me to Google Assistant Support which left me feeling frustrated. However, I did read the Google Assistant advice on "How can I set an app as the default music player on my phone?" and Google's "Gold Product Expert, Cathal S" left me feeling, at least initially, depressed. I persevered through the article comments and eventually discovered, thanks to Sheldon Ross' contribution, that some music apps do not initiate instructions to Google Assistant but thankfully some do. Here is my solution which continues to work perfectly... Say OK Google or Hey Google to start Assistant and instruct... "Play A Natural Woman on Poweramp app" it will open the Poweramp app and play "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" by Athrea Franklin, assuming you have that song on your device or microSD. Hallelujah! Additionally, once you've initiated PowerAmp playing as per the above direction, it will effectively work as the default app. Now just say "Play Aretha" and her presto, Google Assistant will open PowerAmp and play Aretha, again assuming she is resident on you device or devices microSD. You can try the same with your preferred music app and see if it works but at the end of the day, and at the time of writing, PowerAmp works with Google Assistant and I am happy driving in my car listening to my music, without having to break the law by touching my phone (or stereo) to play, skip forward or back tracks. May all be happy, cool and calm. Best as always, J

"Reproducir una mujer natural en la aplicación Poweramp" abrirá la aplicación Poweramp y reproducirá "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman "de Athrea Franklin, asumiendo que tienes esa canción en tu dispositivo o microSD. ¡Aleluya! Mejor como siempre J Click to expand...
