In Applications > Edit, there is a small minus next to each app to uninstall it. Does it remove the app data as well? If yes, does it always do that? Is it the same as going to Settings > Applications > Manage and removing the app+data?
Nope deleting apps via application>settings method is better way

Go to settings > applications > manage applications > Market and clear the data. As a last resort you can also choose Uninstall Updates.

You can unistall any application that is shown in app drawer menu safely. But u dont really need to do that, android can handle RAM much better than what we can do.So my advise will be to leave this task to your OS and enjoy ur phone and apps

Ok.noted.

Use es file manager. In settings select mount system as rw. Then go to system/app and erase this apps: drmua, drmprovider, encrypt, mediauploader, snsaccount, snsprovider, syncmldm, wssyncmlds, signin, mtpapplication.

Thanks!! Manage to free a bit of ram! =)

The task manager that comes with your SGS is also a great tool. I recommend using it first. It does have a RAM menu where you can close processes to free up RAM as well as apps that suck up massive amounts of CPU.
Yup i know. But many apps keep restarting. Its kinda irritating having to kill every time.

If they're not system apps you can just uninstall them. If they're system apps maybe they're doing something important.
What apps do u think its safe to uninstall in?
Sent from my GT-I9000
The apps that you deleted are system apps but they don't do anything important
Can someone guide me on how to use terminal emulator to delete batyery stats?

WAIT A SECOND, your phone is not n7000 so NEVER use files which is for n7000, just telling you to avoid bricking your device
and as nokiamodeln91 said, you must root so you can install titanium backup and from this app you can uninstall system apps.
hope this helped
I never saw such recent apps interface before
Try disabling those apps,if it doesnt work, you need to be rooted to uninstall those apps
On ICS? Try disabling like mentioned via settings>applications if you are on ICS

In settings, apps, all
You may have to force close or disable before you can uninstall. I had to do this to one app yesterday to be able to uninstall it.
Every time I try to disable it I get this message!??

you can install from sd card or you can not install from sd card...
goto security and allow unknown sources to be able to install apps that come from other places than google play
