Hello, I have a problem in my camera.
In all the photos show a black spot, someone knows how to help remove it?
Already cleaned, but it does not, check out this video to better understand the problem: http://gustavoluppi.com/video/lgp990.mp4
Better if you post some image samples

Is this fault in the picture or a problem when your phone trys to display them. Can you view them without problems for e.g. on your PC?

I disassembled my phone, to change the color of the leds in the softkey, i followed all the proper steps, did it slowly, but i mistook one of the steps and disconnected my camera instead. I reconnected it but now when i run the camera and get a purple screen with lines that flashes.
When i take a picture the pure is green.
I know i should have not done it but has anyone experienced this before?
Is it my camera(hardware) is really spoiled or is there a way to fix this?
Do i need to buy a new camera?
Thanks guys i really appreciate it if you could help if you've been through something similar or if there is any suggestions at all.
It might be a glitch between cable and connector.
Open your phone and reconnect your camera

Despite some shortcomings LG has equipped 4X with a really good camera. Read about camera here: (IMX111PQ) http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/cx_news/vol65/imx081_091_111pq.html

Would you also share your camera setting (focus mode, brightness, scene mode, ISO, etc) and tips to make the pictures?

My old GC900 (Viewty II) take better pictures, specially in dark environments...and to be honest, I think that the 5mp of Viewty I was better than both of them...

they look good, especially when there is good lighting.
Hmm your first 2 photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot G9?
Photos captured with our phone are often trouble in focus, best way I found is to use third party apps like lgCamera Pro and Camera ICS (or Camera JB). They make much higher quality pictures, which are sharper and less noises

I don't believe in P-880 camera...
1st picture is from the P-880
2nd from GC900 (viewtyII)
Details P880/GC900
Size on disk 1.196.032/ 1.064.960
3264x2448/ 3264x2448
Res. 72ppp/ 72ppp
24bit/ 24bit
Compressed Bits 4/---
F-stop 2.4/ 2.8
exp. time 1/33sec./ 1/33sec.
ISO 250/ 100
Both cameras are 8MP, same conditions, all auto.
Why the hell P880 assume a higer ISO, the size on disk is bigger and the picture is better in a phone 2 years older than P880???

The camera of my 2x is very blurry if the object is very close. Focus doesn't work, it only get's red. Barcode scanning for example is impossible...
I tried several camera apps and some camera mods, but without success. So I don't think the camera app causes the error.
The front camera works well! Is it possible to patch the main camera?
Thank you for your help!!

Say us about your setup. This is modding forum so i think, that you might have your own set up.
Hi!
I'm running Gueste 3.6 ROM, it's based on CM7. I use the standard LG camera app as well as the app from cyanogen.
It doesn't matter which app I use, if I take a picture from close it is blurry. Autofocus doesn't work too.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using xda app-developers app
I have the modded CM7 camera by Stefan I think. Its on the first page of Temasek CM7.
So I have the sane problem too. The only way I can manage close up pictures is by using manual focus and then adjusting from there.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using xda app-developers app
Manual focus doesn't work too. Maybe it's a problem with camera driver? Is there something like a driver in android?
A friend has the same device and same baseband and same rom, he has no problems at all... I don't understand that...

I cleaned the case and the protection glass. Photos shot without battery case are blurry too.

I have CM7 nighties, so there is camera app, so you suggest me to use that app for filming? It film pretty good, but I am able to film just 30 in HD quality. can I extend that time? like one hour or two hours?
I tried LG camera pro app. it has a lot of options to capture picture and capture video. But I notice that when I capture video auto focus is not working, not on lg camera pro and no on camcorder (stock cm7) , just focused at beggining and then no focus ;( could it be cm7 bug?
It's not a bug of cm7 is a bug of the app.. However are you sure that with stock camera you can register up to 30 minutes?

i really ot tested but in quality section is written HD (30m)
Those written have nothing to do with the maximum recording time, the only limit is the free memory in your device

ok then But I still looking for solution about autofocus... because its not working for me while I taking video
For autofocus I don't know.. maybe is a cm bug, you should expect a fix for your rom or flash a stable version (7.2)

With ICS my photos end up with a pink/redish sphere in the middle of the photo.
With GB no!
I have view same problem on others phones (Sansung Note, Galaxy II), all have ICS!!
I think the problem is in google camera's code
Does anyone else experience this?
I experienced that also in cm10 camera but mine is purple color even on focus/out-of-focus
I think it's in the flash because i tried to take photos with and without flash

I have downgrade my phone to GB and the photo back to normal, i try to install GB camera on ICS but it's fail.
Of course it will fail we need to wait someone to modified cm10/ics camera
I think it's over exposure because of the flash
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
It could be the heat from the CPU which is causing this.
No, i haven't any problems with gingerbread, it's a bug software!

I have the same issue, and I would agree with you, because the problem is evident with any of the 6 different camera apps I tried, not just a stock ICS camera. It looks like some OS component providing the sensor data to a camera app is buggy. I am not a developer, so I have no idea what part of code that would be, but to my understanding camera apps don't talk to hardware directly...
And, BTW, this issue has nothing to do with flash overexposure, as previously suggested, because it's clearly visible on photos taken without flash...
Edit: Forgot to add one thing that I find a bit weird... In my case, this "pink spot" is only visible on photos taken in average natural light (like on a cloudy day, i.e. not bright). However, if I take pictures in a bright sunlight, or under artificial lighting (incandescent or CFL), or with flash, they turn our great, with no such artefacts. Go figure...
I tried other phones with ics and seems to be a common problem in low light, does not happen with sunlight.
Should compare the code jni between gingerbread and ics, i think.
I'm a Java developer but i'm develop j2ee/flash web applications.
