1. to root your device use superoneclick
2. unroot can also be done with superoneclick
3. your device is different so it will be difficult to find stock roms for your device
4. I think under clock can be done on any rom out there

NO until u use the Correct zip or correct method

I can find this ROM any where.
The only thing that Google find is this Post....(What means that only i have looked that ROM?)...
I really want to ROOT and install rom(Custom).
But i want to have the Stock rom in the PC.(in case of......)

I support dhlalit11's view. Plus, today I've rooted my Mini with SuperOneClick and it's been flawless. I've followed Rooting Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 guide at youtube by Edendroid.

Well, i think it doesn't matter which one you chose as the 'stock rom'.
Just pick any froyo stock rom for a backup. (I use GTS5570KBI)
That's it...
When something goes wrong while you install custom rom, you can always flash back to froyo, and start over again...
(At least, that's what i do...)
For the gingerbread, pick the one required for the custom rom.
Recommend : download stock gingerbread KPK baseband...
Sorry for my bad grammar.

[Q] 2.3.3 base firmware ROM?

can anyone tell me which ROM uses 2.3.3 gingerbread firmware as a base firmware of any ROM in this forum?? i tried reading but had a hardtime figuring out which one of those uses a 2.3.3 firmware as a base of the ROM?
do the darky's rom uses 2.3.3 base firmware??
hi
just read OP of every rom in DEV forum it will tell you what that rom is built on
regards
Are you asking about which ROM is flashable through ODIN, so that you can install a custom ROM directly without the need of installing a stock base ROM?

SGS is flying. It is very close to stock rom. I tried Darky's rom RC5, but could not match with Simply Honey in quadrant score.
All the roms that have 2.3.3 or the word Gingerbread in the post heading are what you want .

From stock unrooted GB to rooted ICS

Hello,
My Galaxy Note is unrooted and running a stock GB ROM:
Android version: 2.3.5
Baseband version: N7000UBKK1
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000UBKK3-CL702304
Build number: GINGERBREAD.UBKK3
I'd like to root my device and also flash an ICS ROM (ICS StuNNeR). I've been reading a lot of tutorials here, but I'm still confused about which method is best for me.
My current ROM doesn't seem to be "directly rootable". Do I really have to downgrade it first? Is it necessary to root the GB ROM before flashing the ICS ROM?
Should I follow the guide Another Way to Successfully Flash AOSP/AOKP/CM9 ICS Roms from Gingerbread? But do I have to root the GB ROM first?
I'd also like to backup my current ROM, but I haven't found instructions on how to do that.
Thanks a lot,
Tiago

This might help. If not look at the stickies in the android development section and go through all relevant posts there. For flashing a rom from gb to ics I suggest u wait until OTA update and then flash roms cause many notes have been bricked due to the leaked kernel. If u want to still flash an ics rom then follow the guide provided by the dev.and yes u have to root ur phone before u flash a rom.

You mean you want to flash LRG kernel so that you can upgrade to 4.0.4? Why dont you download stock XXLRQ (German) firmware from dr.ketan's thread and simply flash using odin. Its the latest 4.0.4 rom.

To change build number you will need to flash updated rom.
This is what it means in "Settings / About Phone"
Baseband version - This is your Modem
Kernel Version - Your Kernel
Build number - your ROM
You need to flash an updated ROM to change to 4.0.4. Latest is LRQ

Find the XXLRQ3 (Germany) in there and flash it. It will restore back the LRQ3 on to your phone, together with the stock kernel that comes along with it.

can i update my gt-1000

Hi is it possible for me to update my Samsung galaxy tab
Model: GT-P1000
Firmware version: 2.2
Baseband version: P1000JXJM2
Kernel version:
2.6.32.9
[email protected] #1
Build number
FROYO.JPJM5
You will install Kies on your PC before, And put your Tab connect to USB. Well you can update via Kies.
sorry for my bad English
Good luck
hi there are no updates available thinking of rooting it but have no idea how and if i can do it with my tab i want version 2.3 or later
makes restock rom, recommend the "GB_Stock_Safe_v5" from overcome
and download your latest version (same region) from sammobile.com then flash it
Maybe you must to un-root your tab but I'm not sure that make you can update.
Warning all your data will be lost.

Yes there are plenty of ways to update your device.
You can simply install Samsung Kies, connect your tab and update to official gingerbread (2.3) or you can install a custom GB rom (Overcome Rom).
You can also choose to install ICS (4.0) or JB (4.1), various flavors like AOKP, CM9, CM10 etc.
To get started on custom GB or any other custom rom you should first root/stock your device using the Overcome guide/rom. The original thread is Here but the links are down so you should get the guide and safe-restock/rom files from the mirrors here.
Everything you need to do is included in the guide. Once you have installed Overcome rom you will be rooted and have a custom rom/kernel, from there if y0ou want to go up to ICS etc you simply put the rom on your sdcard, boot into recovery and flash the desired rom.
For me better upgrde to overcome rom..its more stable and have native 3g call..

From 2.3.6 to custom rom

Hey guys!
I need your help in this one i want to run a custom rom on my device
but had some really bad difficulty's and ended up with a bootlooping phone what whas really hard to fix (more luck than knowledge)
Some how i managed to go back to custom and its running on :
Firmware
2.3.6
Baseband
I9000XXJW4
Kernal
2.6.35.7-I9000XXJW4-CL1043937
[email protected]#2
Buildnumber
GINGERBREAD.BOJW6
ClockWorkMod v3.0.0.5
AND IT IS ROOTED
so i know i have to upgrade my CWM but this messed up my phone the first try.
So need some advice and direct links to versions i need to download for my type op phone and kernal.
Thank you.
First decide which type of ROM you want to flash. Since there are many custom ROMs supported for your device. So do some searching and decide.
My advice is to stay with a stable ROM with least or no bugs.
After you have done this you can flash the ROM with either odin or directly by applying update from sd card during recovery.

Thank you for your fast respond
And yes i know there are many kinds of custom roms! how ever many roms required CWM 5 or 6
And thats where the problems are starting.
I'm interested in CyanogenMod 10.1 or Slimbean
Follow the steps given in the following link for flashing cyanogen 10.1
A detailed procedure is explained here.

You can use super one click or odin to root and update CWM to higher version.
