Bought an iPhone today

Lord help me....
No, it's not for me, I'm being nice, sister wanted on my family plan and she just HAD TO HAVE THE IPHONE. LIKE OMG!

I tried to talk her into a $10 Evo Design from Amazon wireless, nah, let's spend money...we're only doing this to save money right?
Can't say I ever foresaw an iPhone entering my phone plan.

I dont blame her. I wouldnt choose an Evo Design over an Iphone either and i have an Epic Touch 4G

I tried Evo D, Evo3D, SGSII, Nex S, and Arrive, all were cheaper. Alwell, just still in shock that I bought what I bought today.

Why not tell her "my plan my choice of phone. Don't like it? get your own plan." Either way she would have stopped nagging and you would not be supporting apple

iphone is not all bad...i had a htc mozart and nw have a op. bl and iphone 4s.
each and every OS platform has something good and unique to offer. we got 2 see the good part of the OS that the manufacturers wanted 2 show us.

It goes like this.
Imagine that you dont know anything about mobile phones and stuff and you see someone walking around you with an iPhone.
Now imagine someone walking around you with HTC Evo..
And to be honest, my head would turn to the guy/girl with an iPhone.. Apple has it
Apple is a style, any other mobile phones have a great platform, great OS and stuff..

Apple topples to Samsung. No longer best selling OEM.

In a recent study by ComScore, it seems that Apple is on a very bad decline. The way things used to be were this:
Apple sold the most devices, Android was the most popular OS.
Now it seems Apple has even lost the title of most cell phones sold. Samsung is now the top dog in the mobile world and Android is STILL the most popular OS. This is not looking good for Apple. Not saying that I want Apple to crumble and fail though, as everyone knows, competition brings innovation and let's all be honest. Without Apple and the iOS, there is NO competition for Android.

Apple never sold more total phones than samsung. Apple has the single phone that sells the most, and they still do. Your graphic even shows that Apple is gaining in overall slice of the mobile pie vs Samsung. (Sammy shows a -.1 drop, while Apple shows a +2 gain over the same period of time...) So don't worry, competition is alive and well, until Apple gets a patent for that too. =P

I personally hate Apple so this makes me feel good owning an Android device.

That is ridiculous. As a result of sanctions, we in Iran don't have access to the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store. But at least, Google knows it has a huge market in Iran and tries to keep the Iranian customers happy, by officially adding Persian to Android 4.0+, they have an official Persian blog, and still a lot of their services are available to Iranians. But not selling your product to someone who spoke Persian, is just plain redundant and racist.
I hated Apple, but now my hate free deeper. A LOT deeper...

And what is wrong with phones made in China?

The nexus 4 is modular so the only thing for sure is that it's assembled in Korea but every component should be made in any place.
But I agree with the rest of you; what's is wrong with Chinese made phones? There are some really impressive Chinese made phones (Jiayu, Meizu, Oppo, etc) and MTK processors are good enough for smartphones...

The technology you know about in China only scratches the surface. You should try living here

I don't care where it's made. I support my Country, Canada, but I'm not going to slam China for making one of the best Nexus' I've had. Not classy dude.

We all know a Motorola device received KitKat even before Nexus users, here we see a purported Sony Xperia running Android 4.4.2, which is newer than even found on the Nexus 5 .
Is this the reason we bought Nexus? How unfaithful Google could be.

If you look closer that picture than you see that the font of the number 2 is not the same whit the rest so FAKE.
P.S. i saw some galaxy S3 clones and it said 4.2.2 but it was definitely gingerbread

This elitist attitude by some Nexus users is annoying. I thought that was supposed to die out with the Samsung fanboys when Google stopped updating for the Galaxy Nexus.
You're already getting good value for the price you pay. Why are you whining that Google is releasing (or helping to release) version updates faster for other devices, isn't that a good thing for the Android ecosystem. Is it necesary to have the latest version only for yourself to validate your self-worth and feel superior to others because you have a device with a unique brand name?

What does this have to do with last year's Nexus?
Even if it's not fake, it's unreleased and it's an incremental update. Who cares?
