I just performed a fresh installation of the MIUI RC5 on my i9000 and Have a few problems.
1. My network provider is not being recognized at all. (Even after a couple of restarts)
2. My IMEI is not being displayed. (Even after deleting the efs folder using Root Explorer.)
So please respond immediately as I wish to continue using this ROM.
Thanks in advance
you have to restore the efs backup that you should of made before the installation.
that will restore the IMEI and give you network coverage.
if you cant do that, re-flash the ROM, and if it still doesnt work, you will have to flash back to froyo with pit and repartition and start the whole process again.
Thx a lot dude. Trying it right now. Hope it works *fingers crossed* http://media.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon11.gif

So you have the Samsung Infuse? Because this is the Galaxy S forums and I don't think Miui is even available on the Infuse so no wonder it isn't working(and the way you installed it isn't the correct procedure anyway). You can probably install a fresh official rom for your phone some how through odin but I'm not familiar with the Infuse. Best to go to the Infuse forums and ask. Hope this helps

hi!
i have problems with my MMS. i cant send my MMS messeage..only recieve..
anybody help ?
Hi,
Have tried to read up few threads but none seems to have similar problems.
Had install MIUI 2.3.4 for Galaxy S - v1.5.27 rom successfully, running great and etc.
One issue, every time I reboot or power off/on the phone will go back to android welcome screen asking for gmail account set up and lose all settings.
Does anyone have similar experience that have found solution ? Great ROM, would like to keep. But it will be annoying to lose all settings every time I reboot or turn off my phone.
You guys advice would be kindly appreciated.

Hmm, this is pretty bad. You will definitively have to reflash. Did you follow the directions well? Most of these ROMs ask of you to flash a stock firmware before flashing with clockworkmod, so did you? Read up well on the instalation instructions and reflash. If the problem persists, then reflash another ROM.
Hello Gang
I have an old HTC Incredible S that I wanted to re-flash and use again. However the person who flashed this before I don't know what he did wrong but the wifi module seems to be broken. Either that or its unable to flash the wifi modules. No matter what rom i put on it the wifi just won't turn on its stuck when i push the slider to on and it just says error and then goes back off again
If i need to re-flash the recovery with a updated version where can i find a guide on how to do that again, its been a while since I've flashed a droid.
If you need any more information I'm more than happy to provide that here
Hello everyone,
my first time here. I am running into an issue where if I install a custom rom on my phone, I get no sound whatsoever. No sound from the speaker nor the earpiece. Also, related to having no sound, any app or anything I do relating to sound won't run or work on the phone strangely. (like Youtube for example, won't run)
Everything else works fine.
I tried multiple roms, and it all had the same issue. When I reverted back to the stock rom or the backup I made fortunately, I get sound but I am lost as to why I get no sound from my S3 device with a custom rom.
My Samsung Galaxy S3 device is model: SCH-R530U for US cellular. I hope I can find someone here who knows how to fix this issue =\.
Could it be that the Roms I installed don't have the sound drivers packaged? I made sure the Roms were compatible and all.
Thanks for the help!
Anyone have any idea? And I realized I posted in the wrong forum subsection. It should be in the regular troubleshooting one, not the I9305 troubleshooting one.
Also, when I revert back to my old stock, I somehow get all these random gapp errors. Not sure if thats because I installed a different gapp on the new custom rom and that could have affected the previous backup?
Hey guys,
dunno if I have to write english or german here, feel welcomed to answer in your prefered languages. The more opinions, the better!
I used rooted XXJVT (DBT) for a very long time but by time it went laggy AF.
Now I decided not only to reset the phone to make it work lagfree again but also flash Android KitKat via CWM.
The biggest problem I encountered: my eMMC died a few years ago, so I was forced to run the phone via microSD (had to scratch the chip off the mainboard to make it accept the microSD when flashing) and exchange the vold.fstab to make the phone use the microSD as internal storage. That way, it worked again. Until now.
Since the WhatsApp Services don't let any 2.3.7 and older OS verify their Account anymore (but those who were already verified can keep WhatsApp until Feb 2020) + I can't flash Custom Roms via CWM ("Waiting for SD-Card to mount" counting down from 20 to 0, then restart and same screen again, looped) probably because of the dead (no more existent) eMMC Chip, i guess the only way to make my phone work WITH WhatsApp again would be find a rom above 2.3.7 that I can flash via Odin..
Otherwise I guess I can shred my phone because it is restricted to SMS/Calls from now Q_Q
Now I need your help: Is there any possibility that I don't know yet? Any ROM out there that I could flash via Odin, dodging the "flash via CWM" way that doesn't seem to work for me (atleast, since my eMMC is dead, I don't know how could make it go past this "Waiting for SD-Card to mount" ****?
Greetings,
A desperate Android User^^
