Has anyone found a free android app to print over wifi. I have an HP Officejet and tried the printershare app but they want $12 for the driver. If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated.

Try Printbot
Is it a newer printer with HP eprint? If so there is a free app. You could also try Cloud Print.

I don't think its an ePrinter, printbot isn't working either... it sees my printer but won't print, says printer is offline.

No, that isn't an ePrint-capable HP printer, unfortunately.
Check out Cloud Print. Only downside is that you have to have a computer on and on the same wireless network as the printer. And Google Chrome installed on the computer.

Ok I through this together in photoshop in like 2 minutes just for an example:
I was wondering if there was any kind app that would show your droid screen on the xoom. I think there are apps that do this for the computer. I don't no if it would be even possible, but it would be awesome. There would also be like a million permissions haha.

that would be cool..
So like what the atrix does in the laptop dock?
You can probably already do this, though it may not be the best experience.
You need to use VNC. Get a "VNC server" for your phone, and a "VNC viewer" for your XOOM.
Then get them both on the same wifi network, and set them up to connect to eachother. The viewer probably won't be like a widget, but I'm sure the developer could make that happen if you bug them. The real problem is that it is choppy. And someone needs to make a VNC viewer that includes the android buttons, since normally you just have the screen and thats it.

VLC player is coming to android. There a pre-alpha release but you need to know if your phone is a neon or non neon...
The revolution is a neon phone. The apk can be downloaded from here:
http://dl.cvpcs.org/android/test/common/VLC-neon.apk
Thanks for posting, I already had it on my REVO but failed to share
It works really great guys! Especially with .MKV's
Too bad it sucks ass on a Xoom

I gave FoxFi my $8 to let me USB tether to my (work) Macbook PRO running Yosemite.
FoxFi + Macbook works like a charm. Connect phone, open app, hit "Activate USB Mode" and I'm online.
I should be able to share my connection using the "Sharing" system preference:

From the FoxFi "ethernet" to WiFi. Settings look like this:
This SHOULD work for me yet it doesn't. Can anyone else try it to see if it works for them?
Pretty big workaround for wireless tether.
I know this was an old post, but did you ever find the solution? I get a fantastic connection with foxfi/pdanet to my macbook, but cannot get the internet sharing built into OSX to work with my external devices. I am shocked I cannot find any solution anywhere online.
I tried looking for apps on the play store and found only one that actually works for OPO: xmacspoofer. It seems that this app has stopped working too. Any suggestions?
At some point I used Mac Address Ghost, don't know if it still works though.
Search for Nil Mac Changer. Worked for me.

Yeah, it works perfectly. But the Newer Version[1.3] onwards are not working on some particular phones.
Otherwise its an awesome app.
I actually use Nethunter In-built Mac Changer.
It works flawlessly in any given situation.
Though, if you restart you OPO you need to change the Mac Again.

Definitely a niche category, but as I just got my 5x, I thought I'd try it out. This setup works. That's my original BobjGear usb ethernet adapter. It's worked with everything I've tried.

I didn't grab the speed test screen shot until after I disconnected the ethernet, but it's legit.

Speedtest with WiFi?
No, as I explained, I took the screenshot of the speed test after I disconnected the Ethernet (which is why Wi-Fi icon is displayed). What the screen test shows is the wired connection.
