change your kernel to NAA or ALFS

No guys, a task killer is never good. It takes up more RAM than it frees up.
Seriously, don't use that. Android manages itself just fine.

Also I recommend Supercharger, to free up more ram.

I read of Desire HD users got it running smooth.

will try and report back shortly !!
Tried on NexusHD2 - Gingerbread 3.1a and it runs slowly... but it works
Took forever to download the data (longer than 15 mins) so dont buy unless your sure... BTW I have 30mbit fibre connection so its not my end.
It's unplayable on my HD2 with latest Hyperdroid rom. I guess that HD2's Adreno 200 GPU is too weak for demanding games.
don't work for me on CyanogenMod 7 (HD2).

yes i m interested ton what rom?I have thyphoon cyanogenmod 3.7.5 overclocked to 1190 + governor to performance + chainfire to pvr, reduced texture ecc.I think i have 10 frames per second
Downloading now. Try deleting audio folder form cache, should get more fps. Of corse, there will be no sound, but otherwise, we have subtitles
I ve tried all version with all possible chainfire combination:
xperia arc version
mali 400
hvga
qvga
adreno 205
320x240 version
every version is slow, now i try the last chance,i ve found acer liquid mini sd files. In theory acer liquid mini is less powerfull than hd2 (qualcom cpu 600mhz+adreno 200 vs 1190mhz+adreno 200)
I ll let you know

Nothing to do...Maybe we have to wait for an updatethat solve some problem.I think that hd2 can run the game at least at 320x240 with chainfire help
Runs on my EU HD2 with dungphp Runnymede v2.1, OC to 1536 MHz with approx 10-15 fps. I think with some tweaks it should be possible to get it smooth.. but we need a developer ^^
UPDATE: a bit smoother with performance governor
Hey guys, I've got it working on HD2 Typhoon ROM with 3d chainfire+nvidia driver. To make it work MAKE SURE download is NOT interrupted in any way and choose NVIDIA plugin BEFORE downloading.
The game is really slow, but i have found out that recording(replay in game) is using a lot of CPU time. If we could disable this, it would help greatly. Also set reduce texture quality and reduce texture size to get few more fps.
You can play quite well from top-down wiev, GTAII style. Enjoy.

disabling the replay will sure improve a lot performance.Must be a problem like this, cause in 320x240 resolution the game work almost the same as with full resolution adreno 200 version, and this is really strange

You cant fix it. It is a known bug and the game has many others, it is a bit laggy but it will get better as updates roll out.
It will die automatically if you cross over 250m.
After i die,the game closes itself... And when i go to options and want to go back to the menu it closes again...
Sent from my Samsung Toaster via XDA
Here is a new version 1.0.1 for armv6:
http://www.2shared.com/file/-hi-MKvj/templeRun_ARMv6.html
The "die bug" isn't fixed, but it should run a bit smoother.
Use Chainfire 3D and Swapper when you would have no crashes.
And a second good news:
Imangi studios will (try) to support armv6 devices like samsung galaxy ace.
And when this is done, it's easy to make(when we won't have) a lag and bugfree version even for older devices.
PS: the second isn't a news, but it's new in this thread
its cool.....
Unfortunately, it still doesn't work for the Samsung Dart Thanks for posting, though!
its work on galaxy mini ?
It should work on all armv6 devices.
Overclock and reduce the textures with Chainfire to play it lagfree...
I can't seem to get Chainfire to work on my Samsung Dart. Are there any other apps like it that may work? Thanks!
Thanks for the tip, but the ram manager didn't make a difference in the lag. I bought the app to support the developer, though

First of all it would be helpful to know what device you are running.
What is the model of your Android device?
What are the basic specifications such as RAM and CPU.
My guess is that you are either low on RAM and that causes you to swap to disk or perhaps your CPU is too old and simply can't handle modern games.

(games like cut the rope, angry birds, ¡¡¡boobleball!!!
Here's how i make my X8 much faster, no overclocking at all (so it's safe!)
Use the stock 2.1 rom, as it's the best of gaming performance!
You can downgrade by using the PC Companion (you will lose root and recovery!)
Or you can download a flashable zip with 2.1 on the XDA Fourm!
Download Cpu master free or any cpu controller of your choice.
Download Speed Booster, frees up ram
Download Advance task killer, it kills apps
Before playing a hard core game reboot (optional!)
Download Jimdroid tweaks on XDA Fourm (search it! for the X8)
Jimdroid tweaks makes you phone much faster with better coding, fixes etc.
Hope this helps! I did this and I could play:
Dead Space - No lag
Asphalt 5 - No lag
Sandstorm - No lag but slower on muitplayer
Need for speed shift - No lag
Cut the rope - No lag
Fruit Ninja (new and old) - No lag
Turbofly - No Lag
Angry birds (all ver) - No lag!
I think you can see it's effective, right?
Have fun gaming around!
I'm new to XDA!
Please press the "thanks" if i helped!

[Q] Overclock in FroyoPro or FroyoBread? (your experiences)

Hi,
Seeing how well all the modifications to my phone are doing, I would like to start experimenting with overclocking a bit.
I have FroyoPro v2.5 installed, which is based on FroyoBread, so I would guess that overclocking on FroyoBread would have more or less the same effects as on FroyoPro. I'm on stock kernel, so overclocking would have to be done via modules. Overclock and undervolt modules are already resident in the system, but are not active as long as I don't rename them to their actual extensions.
So, what experiences do you guys have with overclocking on these two systems? Is it a good thing to do, or perhaps something to better avoid?
I've read somewhere that Froyo ROMs behave badly when an overclock is performed, but then again these two ROMs have a lot of things in common with GingerBread (for example, Xperia Active Launcher works flawlessly in FroyoPro, even though it has problems with FCs on a typical Froyo ROM). I would not want to screw up the device now that I'm beginning to adore it
I would advise you against overclocking if it's unnecessary for smooth performance. Froyo should run smooth on the X8 without any overclocking, so it's better to avoid it.
I overclocked Froyobread v23b and dam it!! I play Jetpack Joyride whit almost 0% lag!
Cheers,
Mistev
I over clocked froyo pro 2.5 up to 729mhz
I crossed that and found that device rebooted during multitask.
On stock kernel
Unfortunately stock kernel didn't support undervolt

I'll check the game.
Now what you need to understand is that not everyone has the possibility of an unblocked bootloader (manufacturing date). Not for free anyway.
About undervolting, you can undervolt the CPU in stock kernel. What's more, most, if not all, of the custom ROMs already make use of the undervolt module created by doixanh.
Anyway, I think that a fair test would be to run Angry Birds Star Wars for twenty minutes on a freshly rebooted system after opening and closing three games. If I don't experience any lags, end of test. Any lags would make me reboot the system again, overclock, open and close the same three games and run the game.
And the reason the game is chocking in your phone is probably because you're running Jellybean. And in that case, you must overclock because the OS is by itself heavier.
By the way, what new feature does the latest CWM offer you that you cannot find in older builds?

Fortun is right. I don't have the privilege of an unlocked bootloader because attempting to do so would probably brick the phone (the serial code at the battery ends with 39, and you can only unlock successfully up to number 29). Any overclocking would have to be done on stock kernel.
Anyway, I tried to overclock today, and started with the default of 691 MHz. I don't know if I did something wrong, but I experienced a significant drop in performance. The AnTuTu benchmark returned the score of about 1500 after the overclock, and it used to return a number around 2200 before the overclock. Naturally, I restored the defaults and disabled the module.
So, how normal is this reaction for FroyoPro on stock kernel? Should I drop this overclocking idea completely or is there something I missed? What is that second overclocking module about (x8oc20.ko)? I can't seem to find any info about it.

Bootloader
Didn't matter fro which number i t ends
Look at that
10w29-safe to unlock
10w49- safe to unlock
11w29-safe to unlock
11w49 - device can be bricked, somewhere listen that can be unlocked via paid method.
12w29-can be unlocked by fast gsm it take charge.
12w49-same as 12w29.
So from 10w29 to 11w29 easy to unlock.
After that device can be hard brick
And

matter that from which it starts.

Try overclocking with values over 700. Go slow and try first with 710.
Also don't check the "Set it on boot" checkbox just yet until you find a stable speed.

[Q] Question about GPU

It is possible to make a full GPU acceleration in Gingerbread?
Sorry for my bad english.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using Tapatalk 2
The only thing you can do is to change in the "build.prop" file inside the system folder these following lines: (you need to be rooted, and have a file manager like ES File Manager)
debug.composition.7x27A.type=mdp change to gpu
debug.composition.7x25A.type=mdp change to gpu
This is the only known working trick (at least for me), other tricks are myths. The mini 2 already has GPU acceleration enabled in every other way, other than the one mentioned above.
It's just the composition type... the options are: gpu, mdp, c2d, dyn
All these options mean that rendering is done by GPU, just in a different way, for example, Mini 2 doesn't support C2D.
You wouldn't see a difference from GPU and MDP
Read this and you will understand https://developer.qualcomm.com/sites/default/files/composition-with-snapdragon.pdf
Well, I disagree with you. GTA Vice City with "gpu", behaves much differently than in "mdp" On "gpu" it is very fine when on foot, but has a very annoying lagging effect while in a car, but the app won't crash in any way. I can see that the game is doing fine, but the lagging effect in car ruins everything. With "mdp" the app is doing kinda fine on foot and in car, but the app crashes or constantly vibrates (what does that mean anyways, when a phone vibrates during a game, not enough RAM?) when in a heavy mission. The best thing is that, this only happens if I change the 7x25A.type, NOT the 7x27A.type. Why?
Now how will you tell me that there's no difference?
Of course this all means that the Vice City is badly designed for Android, and it is, so I removed it once and for all.
This also depends on the kernel, I'm using the squidzone's kernel (situation above), but I've been using the 411MB kernel from DSLR_JENA, and the game ran very well, on "gpu", no lagging effect.
No, VC is probably not a bad port for Android. I just don't understand people who buy ancient phones and then blame the high end games because they are not able to play them.
What I meant with my previous post is that both GPU and MDP are Adreno accelerated.
From what I understand is that MDP composition uses copybit which renders with CPU where GPU rendering is not available.
But, at least that's a thing which does something, unlike the egl.cfg "trick" or those numerous useless build.prop "tweaks", that's why I've suggested him that.
I'm not blaming the phone for not playing VC properly. I got it for almost nothing, what can you except?
can u give me the 411 kernel link and how to install it ?
thnks ^^
411 Kernel is not stable, I've heard opinions about various problems with it. Use the kernel from my signature, it's better.
because if they build my kernel from my JB sources it should be unstable on GB
