[Solved] Wifi Afterburner Question - LG Revolution

When you run the 3g turbocharger script you can install the wifi afterburner which modifies the .tiwlan files under system/etc/wifi. I checked that directory and there were no files in it.
Is there supposed to be files there? Where can I get them?
Found the files and wifi mod works.

Using Root Explorer I am unable to find the proper folder for this hack.
I can find it no problem on Phiremod 5.1 installed to internal.
What ROM are you running, and is it internal or external?
Where do you struggle (can you see any of the folders)?

As my sig says I am running 0.6.8 NookieFroyo on SD. I don't want to write to the eMMC so I can boot stock or a custom ROM.
I can see the folders but there is no init.d folder in the etc folder. Do you think I can just add it?
Sorry man, I don't see your sig via Tapatalk...
Just adding an init.d folder won't help, unless your system has something looking for it. I'm not sure how the SD roms are built, so you may want to try and contact the dev...

If you just want the boost and don't mind paying then you can always search for "sd card booster" on market

[Q] T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling on Incredible S

Did you push "kineto_gan.ko" to /system/lib/modules/ ?
Do that. Then install the apk again. Doing this will copy libkineto.so to /data/data/com.android.kineto/lib/.
Reboot and try to start the kineto app again.

I reapplied the same fix as on jb and I'm pretty sure it worked. I haven't fully tested but the hotspot turns on

1. Download and rename the file to HotspotProvision.apk and place it on your phone.
2. Use a file explorer that can write to system folders Root Explorer (paid app) or X-Plore (free app) and navigate to /system/app/
3. Rename the original HotspotProvision.apk and HotspotProvision.odex
4. Copy the file from step 1 to /system/app/
5. Set permissions to 644
6. Reboot device
7. Profit
