[Q] Netflix for tab

so like the thread says has anyone tried or read anything about netflix being able to run on the tab, I have a vztab that is on its way back from service so havent tried the the netflix-devicecheck-disabled.apk on it but im assuming it wont work without 2.3. So my question really is have any of the gsm tab users been able to have netflix with the gingerbread leak.

I tried the first one that has device check disabled. Netflix opens with that one, but when I go to log on it crashes.
So, I tried the other modified one, and that one lets me log in and view my queue, but when I try to watch something I get an error that says
"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists please visit netflix.com. (1005)"
So, I am not sure if that is a genuine Netflix error, or an error with the apk itself.

Theres a mod you install after the modified apk thats supposed to make it not crash

What mod is this you speak of???

I also tried the two modified netflix apps with the same results. Neither worked.
I would be interested to hear if someone actually got it working.

I'm curious about this too. Somebody posted in the galaxy tab forums that they got it working on the stock gingerbread rom. I've tried it on my Sprint Galaxy Tab and even with the hack it crashes. My firmware version is eb28.

Might want to mention thats not for CDMA or WIFI tablets

It its only partially working on klean mod... It loads que and plays audio in fast forward and then reverts back to the que... Weird right? Im curious to see other cdma results

To the op, I haven't gotten it to run ok anything but froyo and cm7. The sensation, evo3d and others won't run it

so its my ROM thats causing the problem you think?

I think its either sense 3.0 or android 2.3.4

I had the same problem at first. It worked fine on froyo then when I went to GB is when I think I had problems. So I went back to froyo re-installed the game and downloaded data. Flashed BAMF's RC3 along with all the mods possible for it right now along with Dark Horse theme and it works great now. At first I thought it might be the rom but now after going thru all that I know it's not.
How far does it get before it FC's? does it get to the gameloft boot animation or does it close before that? The version I have installed is 1.0.3. What version are you using?

I haven't had problems i am on bamf sense 3 and have a swap enabled and overclocked to 1.59 ghz using imo kernels

I'm on bamf 3.0 rc 4. It installed fine but FCs while checking license. I installed CM7 and it worked until I flashed the Netflix fix (minimal) so it seems that is what's causing the problem. For now I guess I gotta choose between N.O.V.A and Netflix Btw I can't find N.O.V.A 1 on the market, is it supposed to be there?

im seeing i have version 1.0.0 and it checks licence then takes a dump right after.

WENT HERE, DOWNLOADED THE .APK, INSTALLED, GAME RUNS BEAUTIFUL.

1.0.3 works. I bought it and downloaded it and let it install the download and it works fine.

yeah see i dont know what happened to me. i purchased it, installed and it just kept FC every startup. i checked the version number and it was 1.0.0. everytime. i uninstalled, deleted the folder everything and reinstalled, still got 1.0.0. so i looked for the other online, it installed over it and boom, it works.

Anyone facing issues with random auto restart while using this Rom
I need a solution for this..

It worked fine for me, however I never got the google sync to work. You should make sure that no scripts are installed and check your performance settings. (Smartav2 with max 806 and min 245 are most stable settings)

Yes, I came to know about the google sync issues by reading the development forum for this rom. I am ok with that part as its not a full version rom..
but I cant understand why it keeps auto restarting my phone?? really annoying on such an awesome rom.
And ya, wish you could explain how to make sure no scripts are installed....

Known bug if you have apps installed on SD Card. Just wait for the final release because the MIUI is currently on RC2 meaning it still has bugs. It's currently functional and beautiful now. You just have to cope up to the small bugs you encounter.

MIUI launcher eat too much ram, go to option-launcher setting untick high quality grapics and icon shadow for better performance. if you use darktremor try to move data to sd, i've using for 3 days and never had random reboot.

My prob is that I can't ecept calls only call other pepz com.android.phone crashes
I've tried
wiping data,bat,delvik,cach
Flashing gb from odin then flash miui
installing other phone apk's from other cm7's (flashing it from recovery)
chansing to all the baseband's possbile (including ddkq8)
PLEZ HELP ME!!!!!!!

have you changed the pixel density? dont know about this rom, but is a known issue on some others, it simply cause the phone app to force close...

yess.....this rom so wonderfull....
but here's my problem...
- I can't browsing with stock browser or any browser app. It always say : "Unauthorized request. Please check your APN."
but any other app with network connection like playstore etc work very well......
any solution guys??????

2 what should I chanse it if tried 120dpi and ofcorce stock 160

Some glitches
Luv the visuals in this ROM
Bt there are a few glitches as well and maybe i think the dev must be currently working on that too..
Here are some of them:
There is a major lag time when u rotate the phone (auto-rotate time is quite large)
Many a times when trying to remove SD..phone restarts
Custom themes have problem on the lockscreens (full view is not visible)
Bootanimation doesnt change at all...
The best thing i like about this ROM is that u can select as many no. of recipients for sending messages..a huge like
And several of other ROMs have that smiley in place of [Enter] button..but this one is perfect
Though i wud like the dev to add the feature of replying to contacts directly from call log
Anyways, hats off to the dev for building a gud ROM!!

Try reflashing because if u correctly follow the instructions it must work...
otherwise i think the ROM doesnt support ur handset (yes it is galaxy ace but the country make is also important)

Can the messaging app of this ROM be used in other CM7.2 ROMs as well??
Coz i successfully used music and compass of miui in Miracle v4 but when i try using mms.apk of this into that..it force closes..
Plz tell me a way to do that (if there is any) coz i luv the messaging thing of this ROM

i had this Rom and it never reset my phone bit it did freeze alot so i am back on stock Rom now iv had nothing but trouble flashing custom roms so iv decided to stick to original firmware it works for me

Any ICS ROM where Chrome doesn't crash?

Is there ANY ICS ROM out there with a stable Chrome that doesn't crash or freeze in the middle of writing long texts?
I almost want to go back to HC because of this, but then I can't use Chrome and I kind of like it.

If you have tryed all ics rom's than I don't know!

I haven't. But as far as I know they all have issues with the browser. AOSP GalaxianSoup, AOKP, CM, they all have reports by people saying the browser freezes/crashes/pages stop loading.

I try many ICS roms(>10), none of them make chrome work properly.
But I found one today, the newest cm10 preview 20120723. Chrome work perfectly on my 7310 now.:laugh: Not a ICS rom though

The best rom I have ever tasted, but you need to back up your favorite apps before installing the new rom, because lots of app are not ready for JB in the market, not allowed to install, including chrome

Hello all..
Ive tried like 5-6 cm roms frm past 4 months n i cannot add a google account in any of them.
Everytime i get a same error "cannot establish a reliable connection " even though the internet ia perfect n works with browser n all installed apps.
Any solution guys? i wana stay with cm rom n this problem is stoppn me frm doin so
Any help is appreciated
Ps: obvsly i hav flashed gapps
The roms ive tried are official cyanogenmod, vo-1 rom, cyrss rom, democracy rom n few others.
Please help ppl.
Adding google account in stock rom is perfect.

I used to get the "cannot..." error while using wifi, but whenever i switched on the 3g data connection and then tried adding account, it worked
however, this problem used to happen to me only in the old cm roms, before they became stable, im talking about grif and behrad's roms
for me, this problem doesnt happen in the more recent cm7 roms

try a different baseband
i think there was a new stock firmware released
try flashing that and then cm on top
it might not work, but its worth a shot
