Hi there,
Having a bit of trouble with my Galaxy S of late. Seems that when I make a call, there is no sound at all (I don't think the other person can hear me either). When I switch to the handsfree speaker, it works fine. Running Darky's 9.4...
Any ideas?
Rob
Its known and getting fixed in 9.4.1
Hmm I have the same problem in Darky 9.3 whit DamianGTO kernel... But after reboot everything is ok, and now again same problem... So just reboot phone for now, I think that Darky can find the solution !
Yes! Rebooting fixes it. I'll be happy to do this every now and then until Darky updates it. Otherwise it is a pretty much perfect rom...
Thanks for the help!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I have the same problem but I am not on darky rom?
Is this problem Darky rom specific or not?
I am on js8 stock with voodoo lagfix....
My mistake.... I did not know that darky rom has voodoo kernel so the problem was from same source....
I have upgraded voodoo kernel to 5.5.3 and the problem is gone!
Darky Darky Darky ??????
get a decent rom .

Turning off the ascending ringtone (Gingerbread)
There's no way to set constant ringtone in Gingerbread (Android feature!).
There's a tutorial on how to modify phone.apk to remove ascending ringtone:link
I did it on V20o.
Should work with all rooted GB-based stock and custom ROMs.
There's no point of using it on Zeus, since Zeus has it built-in.
Please give a feedback on which ROM it works. I've only tested V20o.
1. Removing ascendant ringtone:
NoAscendingRingtone_V20o.zip
2. Recovering original ringtone:
Original_PhoneAPK_v20o.zip
Howto:
Apply zip in recovery. Rather harmless, but please make a backup!

hi, i updated to original 4.1.2 rom, galaxy note gt-n7000. but ascending ringtone is annoying, i found that some custom firmwares allready get rid of it, but what to do for people with original one? there was some mods on old ROMs for phone.apk http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455483 but on 4.1.2 there is no no more phone.apk.
So can i do the same thing with secphone.apk and secphone.odex? or there is another way to do that? thanks in advance.
