Next time, fastboot erase cache is all you need to do. Flashing recovery is a quick fix if you don't have a computer nearby.

WiFi doesn't work on any ics

Hello, I have big problem, which is not working WiFi. I tried every Rom. Of course I always do a full wipe. On gb WiFi is working good, but hotspot is not and that's strange too. What should I do?
Thanks a lot for your help

Try using barnacle hotspot from market, it works excellent for me.

Ok, thanks I will try later on gb but the WiFi still doesn't work

Try these Roms and tell me how it goes:
- Nik's Project X v4.1 (ICS + Sense 4.0)
- Stock HTC Incredible S Rom.
Same, I'm still getting error, I also changed radio to this one from ARHD topic, still I'm getting error

I dunno, what kernel have you tried. Do you run stock kernel on your device, did you flash something else, how do you flash it. Do you wipe dalvic cache, normal chache and data?
A lot questions
Ok.
1. I flashed all of the redux kernels, with full wipe (4ext recovery without sd card), xs 2.2, and latest stock, for GB stock gb
2. I flashed also latest radio through hboot and latest black rose following instructions in main thread
3. Yes I do. Always I do a full wipe (except sd card)

Are you using a vivow (HTC Incredible 2-Verizon only) or the vivo (HTC Incredible S)?

I really don't know where this "of course" comes from. Look at most peoples signature in this section of the forums, if I asked them if they were s-off when it says so in their sig or even in their first post saying of course would be acceptable.
Yes you cant get wifi but should we really be playing some kind of guessing game to try to determine where you have screwed up?
A vivow is an Incredible 2 NOT an incredible S. Perhaps you should check your phones specifications and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted accordingly.
Ok, sorry. If the guessing game is only way to solve my problem I approve it. please understand me, I, have this issue on every ROM, it doesn't matter it is GB, or ICS.

Boot Master Pro or Lite

Has any one tried using this app with their Inc S? How did it go?
I've installed it, loaded 3 roms (2 install from zip and 1 nandroid backup) and can't get any to boot. They all get stuck at the Splash screen.
I'm unlocked, S off, using Blackrose and have never had an issue installing those roms before.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
I had it, but just for two rom. Do you selected install boot.IMG with?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
I just followed the on screen prompts. Install zip, so I then select the zip I wanted. And when I try to boot to that rom it does nothing.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
A reason could be the blackrose hboot with the lip partition..
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Do you know of any way to get it to work?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
For me it looks like ics is too unstable for that, it doesn't run on my device flawlessly. You could go back to a non Blackrose HBoot, flash a Rom who don't need blackrose and try it again

BlackRose is a modified Bootloader for IncS that has S-Off enabled and supports the /Lib partition that was introduced in GB 2.3.5 and was carried over to ICS 4.0,4. You must be S-Off using Revolutionary.io before you can upgrade to BlackRose.
Is it necessary? I want to jast root & unlock the phone to install cyanogenmod 10.1 on any stable rom.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Yes you can, but however you having unlocked your Inc. S with S - On, you will have to boot your boot.img. file manually, Or u will be stuck with the HTC splash screen for hours.
Just flash the boot file from the ROM you download
