1.buying a new device
2.waiting for someone who can get a stable OC of 1GHz to SGA [ and trying to fry some cookies on it ]
U need an overclock kernel to do that...thers one for ace by ketut....but y do u wanna do it..do u realuse that ur battery will suck(even more) when u overclock?!!u can also cause permanent damage to your phones cpu etc ...my advice will be R.I.P with 800mhz ..its fast enough
Hit the thanxx button if i helped...

in antutu looked, well, at least up to 960MHz, near the 902 and now everything is stable, but want more
They also did something 921 or 979
I can't get more than 845Mhz because it hangs or reboot.
Sent from my GT-S5830B using XDA
previous ketut kernel were able to OC much more than 902 but were not stable for most of users.. very few lucky CPU's got some speed and they might be amongst them..
if OC get stable at 960 then ketut might update blackhawk kernel..
if you are so eager to get OC then download sources mod them and try if it works

but considering its other side 18k is good price and it will come down when one series gets launched as it will be priced much higher
That 960MHz would be unstable as hell. I'm sure that guy overclocked just for the bench. Even though he got a good CPU, reboot may still happen..

50% of the roms out there right now can oc to 2GHz now lol, but it usually only causes issues and doesn't seem much faster than 1.4-1.5 imho. I find performance at it's best without OC though..

It's like having a huge-ass and expensive car when you only have a small ****, the potential is there, but you're just over-compensating.
Be happy with what you have, go for what you need, salivate over what you want, but by all means never try to over-compensate.

and the reason why it doesn't SEEM as fast is because your phone will only seem as fast as your ram actually is.. all that processing speed (jelly)... no smoothness (toast)
Virus' new eternity rom is a perfect example of that. he optimized the ram, using stock kernel, and my phone is smoother and runs better than it was when i was overclocked.

Differs for every processor... There are mobile processors with 1.2 GHz that can go up to 1.6 GHz or more, some desktop processors with 2.6GHz that go up to 4GHz... And not only processor define how much you can OC, there are so much factors like power supply, main board support, RAM...
Anyway, i've never seen an 1GHz OC for our Ace

Its the same price as the original Ace and Samsung calls it an "Upgraded version"
Anyway, now Galaxy Y has a CM9 port which is booting.
So there are chances for the Ace i users to taste ICS.

It differs on each device. Overclocking is a bit like baking a cake, both do it with the same recipe but the one's cake is delicious and the other is a total floor. Some Ace's can go up to 1GHz and some can't go above 800MHz.
I own 2 Ace's and my one goes to 1.2GHz the other only goes to 864MHz.
