Hello again all. My friend ended up purchasing the Vivid and we'll be activating it on Straight Talk shortly. My question now is this:
What roms are compatible? I see a lot of them with AT&T in the name/description. Would these be unusable? All I/she wants is to have a stable and preferably debloated ICS ROM. Everything else is gravy. Thoughts?

All of them are usable. If you want a de-bloated ics rom try rum float by pirate ghost.
All you need are the correct APN settings and your good.
Ah, you all are a Godsend. I'm just used to doing things simply on Verizon, so all this is new to me. Time to get cracking!
Err....didn't he pull his roms?

He is on a different site now. Just Google his name and rom.

Not a dumb question at all, and you're right, there isn't much out there...
I WAS gonna' link to the few that were available, but it looks like a TON of development threads have been moved and/or deleted... strange...
This is from my post on UltimateDroid, not sure how useful they are now, though...
Here are the ROM/Kernal links from XDA:

This guy seems to be doind the most work for us CDMA Tab owners:

There's a DEV working on a HC port (don't know if it will be carrier specific) and he seems to have the most thorough work so far, but I can't find that freakin' thread either... Server issues must be worse than expected...
Thank you for your reply

im trying to get the files off my rooted stock SGT too so i can start playing with the safety net of files i can odin. any advice you can give me on pulling the files through adb, modem, kernel, stock rom etc would help
Ok well I've been reading through the threads and I am interested in flashing a new custom rom on my thrill...I've tried CM7 for about a day and it was nice and all I did have some issue with the battery getting drained in a matter of hours without even using it. So I didn't really get a chance to fully check it out. I wanted to give it another shot and see if I can get the battery issue fixed but I wanted to try out another rom. I was thinking maybe the Prometheus Project and Thrill seeker also CM7 again. Anyway what does everyone that had flashed or currently using any of these mentioned roms? Does 4g work well? Wifi? Data? Bluetooth? Don't care about 3D. Messaging? Connectivity? Whatever input anyone can provide would be great. I want to get a newer phone I still have lots of love for my thrill anyway thank you!

Just try them all and see what works best for you. They all work fine.

Hey guys just a question regarding the roms for the one, I see for some reason development in the sprint one section is rather slow compared to the other versions. I see when I go to the general HTC one forum the roms say "supports all HTC one models" does this mean I can use on my sprint one? I would assume not because of radio issues?
Thanks in advance for the replys.
No. Only flash roms designed for the Sprint One. Give development time... It will pick up.

Quality over quantity. We have root, and a few ROMs. The Evo3D took forever to break in and just exploded after a bit.

I'm trying to bypass at&t block on tethering apps in order to use my plan with my tablet as well. I rooted my phone, but every app i downloaded appears to be blocked from accessing my phone connection by at&t (they charge separately for that "honor").
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Ivan

If you want to use stock ROM, there's a WiFi tether fix in the AT&T Development forum.

Both posts found in the AT&T One Development forum. Both on first page and one thread apart. Seems to me like you didn't really bother looking or using the search function. Took me less than two minutes to find the threads and post this reply.
Most others will tell you to search on your own, so you might want to get familiar with using the forum and it's capabilities.

Just curious as to if anyone out there is working on implementing MoDaCo Switch into any of their ROMs. As of now it's in public beta, but from what I gather it will only work with GSM devices at the moment. Anyone working on getting that available for Sprint devices?

I'm not entirely certain what version of Android Switch is built against either (i.e. 4.2 or 4.1), which might complicate things further for Sprint.
You just reminded me though that we should batten down the hatches for the nigh inevitable bricks from people who try to flash Switch not knowing it's for GSM only right now.
