Hi to all.
It has now been more than 6 months since DS10 pro is out. And a lot of people have it on XDA. Yet no sign of a dedicated forum exist. I have a DS10 pro and I have no idea where to find the appropriate information regarding how to flash it to the only existing custom and compatible rom chimeradroid.
If some one can help me in this regard. I will be greatful.
Regards.
Model: Dell Streak 10 Pro (T03G)
a lot of people is about a dozen or two on xda that have one (or rather that post about it)
XDA doesnt make forums for devices with this few active posters.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks admin for replying. Sorry if my style was a little rude. I am a noob.
OK, I got it now why XDA has not added its forum yet. But as i can see in your signature, you are having Dell Streak 10. Assuming its the same as the Dell Streak 10 Pro. And you have chimeradroid on it also.
Please let me know where to get information about how to put chimera droid on my stock DS10Pro. Any help will be appreciated.
This is a bit off topic, but I would love a Dell Streak 10, but I live in America so they are not available here. Do you know where I could get one shipped to the U.S.?

It's not terribly attractive, but seem to provide more in the way of function.
edit: about 5 or so posts down from mine, someone posted the same questions, sorry mods .

LEATHER!!!Fits perfectly and works like a charms, I love it! Only $18!
hello everyone, I recently purchased a dell streak 7 and actually love it but have been disappointed in the lack of rom development for the device. it makes me feel like i purchased the device that nobody cares about. everyday i check the development section just to see the same post. there is never anything new so i was wondering why this sub-forum still open???? I dont think we really need a whole sub-forum just to see when dj steve releases an update for the same rom. One developer should not warrant a whole sub-forum. This makes me wish i would have hung on to my g-tab.

U can just as easily leave xda .... it takes time to pick up extra developers. Learn yourself and put out your own rom !!!
I've started on it myself..... I know a few others who have too.... learning takes time ! ALSO FYI, We already have 2 different froyo builds, 1 honeycomb build, and Ubuntu partially functioning. I've talked with 2 people who have already started trying their hand at gingerbread. Nothing official there yet though.
Most of us have jobs and families..... time isn't so abundant. If u have the time then do something about it and stop complaining
Donating to developers is also an incentive ........
PS
mods please move this where it belongs.
avoid Android - get an Apple device

that type of service - you got the wrong device - I would suggest you return your streak and get an Apple itouch - where everything is on silver platter for you....and rom updated for you all you do is download....

I have been on the S7 forum from day one. Many of us tried doing what we could but it was DJ Steve who got EVERY S7 user excited about our tablets.
I truly believe that this entire situation got blown way out of proportion.
Well XDA, it was a pleasure hanging out.
Laterz....
AGREED!!!!
These people complaining about "Source Code" this and "GPL" that , is bull, when you are using a modified binary kernel, and not compiling from source, which is not available anyway, why is there any problem ...
Ok now to be fair, you MODS need to go into EVERY forum for EVERY device on XDA and lock/close/delete any thread with a modified binary, you know ALL the winphone 7 stuff, all the android apk's , and anything that is not 100% user created and that has no source code with it ...
Stick that up your GPL ass ...
+1 crying DS7 user. Just got it a couple months ago and DJ made it usable. Thanks DJ. I'll keep supporting you on your new site. Don't let those swine give you an guff!

Ok... I'm missing something but what happened to DJ Steve? I will do some searching but seriously Dell might have given us the hardware, it was Steve that made both the Streak 5 & 7 useable. If XDA did something strange to DJ Steve, why? I must have missed something.
DJ Steve, thank you for your work on the Streak & will be talking to Michael about you soon.
sidenote did anyone see the new Dell Android Market?

XDA enforces the rule that if you are working the GPL (public license), then you have to provide the source kernel. DJ Steve got the kernel through a "back door" of some sort, and could not provide it without revealing his sources. So XDA shut down his thread; he got upset and went to a different site.
XDA is very strict about keeping within copyrights & etc. (so as to not get sued), and not posting the kernel does violate the GPL, but he would have released it when Dell updates the S7 to HC. It is too bad, though.

Disclaimer: This my very first post ever on XDA. I saw the noob video and did everything I needed to do (Or so I think) before posting this question up. If by any chance I had missed the answer somewhere, please direct me towards the correct forum, as I'm still trying to get the hang of this. I also apologize if this question seems a little "stupid" or what not. If you have patience, please continue reading. Thank you!
So now that Windows RT has been released Microsoft Surface, it got me thinking...
I just bought a Blackberry Playbook (For like 90 bucks. Why not?) and consider it's quite the powerful machine for its time, I was wondering
if it's possible to flash the Windows RT OS on to the Playbook? Has anyone tried this? Does anyone have a hypothesis regarding its potential work arounds? Also, if I do this, and Blackberry 10 comes out in a few months, would there be a process available to allow me to boot back into the Blackberry OS?
If anyone can help me I would be most appreciative! Yay! finally joined XDA!

Firstly - don't bump your own post
Secondly - 81 views on a site with 4.7 million users just means that 81 people have had a look because they don't understand why you would ask that question on XDA
Thirdly - XDA is predominantly an Android-based site. There are no forums for the Playbook, just as there are no forums for ANY of the BlackBerry products. If you want an answer to a question of this then use Google or try a BlackBerry-centric site, such as CrackBerry.
