Hi there people, since we have now some excelents ROM´s, and for people who are divided, just wanted to ask, in terms on 3d performance and battery improvements, what is the best ROM at this moment, since they are all great.
Big Thanks
In my opinion there is no best..
it's all about personal taste..
the best way is to carefully read all the topics, make a back up of your phone en give the ones you like a try..
so far i tryed: CM, Zeus, Marvel, Echelon and Sapphire..
I had problems with CM, the others are all very good roms.
You can just choose one but you can also try every rom for a couple of days and then decide what rom you like the most!
The CM I tried too and had problem too....I´m divided between Marvel...Zeus and Sapphire...The Sapphire is the one that i have now...but in 3d i think is a little poor....for example...the asphalt 6 becomes a little sluggish....
In Marvel....I tried the v4.....and in Zeus...I tried the V4.02b...
The Zeus was the best one that I had...but changed because of SoD´s...and in Marvel the v4 was good...but i think that there was something missing in the ROM...But I would like a ROM with good 3D performance and good battery life....
I think you should try Echelon rom and Zeus v5 Lite to
Sent from my LG-P970 using Tapatalk
Thank you for your advices...I will give them a try.
indeed.. if you want zeus right now you should try v5.03 lite
sapphire is good and fast but the theming is not something i like very much..
i like a rom that looks a bit more like stock.
it's echelon and zeus that i like the most..
Like sayed before thee is NO best Rom.
It all depends on personal needings.
If ur a "gamer" you want a Rom with max performance and oc-options
If u want to save the planet u want a Rom with longest battery-life possible.
So nobody can tell u: Use Rom XYZ and Launcher ZYX and ur done.
Rooting Android Phones and installing custom roms is all about personal needings.
So u have to read the topics to get some informations, and then just try out wich rom + launcher fits best for u.
I also agree to say that each rom has its pros and cons.
The ones I tried on 2.3.4 :
- CM7 nightly : always got some bugs, in particular with audio and bluetooth headset;
- zeus 4.02 : works great, but occasionally got some freeze/screen-of-death ...
- echelon 01 : minimalist and clean ui. Recently installed and find it very fast and stable. I hope it will still be for a while
I did not try other gingerbread roms
i tried:
1.zeus from v2 to v5.03 and it is my daily use rom.there were bugs in early versions and of course sod on some but since Huexxx released the lite versions the rom is great, fast and stable with excellent battery life and many options through zeus script..really love that script.
2.some late cm builds and temasek's last 2 kangs.not for daily use for me
3.ligux:really liked it a lot.hope we get stable cm so ligux becomes stable.bugwise it is like cm..
4.echelon:really liked it since the theme is based on ligux.fast and stable.hope to test it fully themed.hope gabwerkz keeps on updating.
5.sapphire:fast and snappy especially with the new tweaks that can be installed afterwards but i guess i prefer something more minimalistic themewise.
6.marvel v6:this is the only marvel i used(i use it right now) and i really like it.very good for daily use and fast, snappy like zeus for me..i always use golauncher and marvel, zeus are the smoothest with it..personal opinion of course.battery life very good so far.
7.lewaOS:tried it for 3 hours but i had many fcs.it looks nice but very early build.it is fast though.
i also tried TMR (miui themed based on v20b) but for like an hour.
bottomline is that we have a lot of choices so it is difficult to pick one.but the future of black seems bright..
if we get stable cm then the possibilities will be endless..
i am going to try LFD today..
Just try Zues 4.02b and it's nice though I got LGSetupWizard error 2 times and freeze once
I think marvel 6 is also nice hope I can try it
my advice is to try zeus 5 if you want to try zeus..
today i tried Echelon again and this time it is really awesome..
Fast/simple.. Definitely my favorite!
hello.*new member alert*
i started using custom ROM from a week before.
i have tryed all of the rom under the forum.
but i loved the work of this dev named acxyut. both of his rom is very good.i use prada for soemtime and then now i use the saphire.
but i get confused because i see he always call himself as a noob and not a dev.
i use the sapphire for now am i think it is best because i get very good performance and especialy the battery life.i loose no battery in night. not even 1%!!...also he release many theme app for the rom. i feel this rom turned into a full project.
but is he really a noob???if so, how he got so many thanks and how he know so to make a rom??
i am a noob, can i meak a rom also??
He is a cook, and he has some basic skills, I'm a noob too and I've made a rom, you need to learn some things first, basically if you have some basic coding skills you can cook a rom, but only professionals and experienced devs can port and make rom from scratch and fix bugs.
Trolling in the deep
Dude, I'm a noob and a cook.
noob is a person that doesn't know much about code, and a cook is a person that can follow recipes to make roms.
Research what is what, learn and maybe you could cook your own rom
Trolling in the deep
@gumm: read up buddy. read chef central. read the how to's. setup ubuntu. try. but as re4lsk said, dev nd cook are not entirely same.
nd one honest advice: if you like any work of any1, be it a ROM, or an app, whatever, APPRECIATE it instead of DOUBTING the credibility.
and btw, hoe can you "CHEAT" while creating a ROM???....is it an exam paper??
no flames please, but i find the essence of the post of yours @ the prada rom thread of mine somewhat offensive.
there is a nice thread by nooby at the general section. read that up. use the ROMs for a few days and see how p970 is. what the files are. what u need. and i do actually have some basic skills.
if you think i can help you in any way, please drop in a PM

EDIT: AND Cyanogen Mod 7 ROM DOES IT HAS BETTER CAPABILITIES??
I wanna know which rom has better capabilities simply honey or miui
(Capabilities=
which rom is faster(miui or SH) or they have +- the same speed?
which rom is stabler? or they are the same..
which rom has more and better features or they have the same?
this things..)
thanks for helping
NOTE- I have already read both SH's and MIUI's threads
NOTE- if you have nothing helpul to say to my question and you just wanna say negetive comments- do NOT NOT NOT answer!! its not the place for you
simple honey
its perfect
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
i would go to simply honey it's simpler and really good. im not on simply honey but looking at the specs of the rom it seems really good. however front camera doesnt work as it says on the ROM and you need to reflash another kernel!
another thing is they have took out apps that came in with SGS from the stock ROM some of it i find very useful. i think the speed of both ROM is quite the same ^_^.
thanks !! waiting for more people---and which rom offers more features? SH or miui?
(and I have SH 3.2 dont wanna update it to3.5 because there are problems with 3.5)
There are no problems at all with 3.5....you're getting crazy man....you're paranoic!
Try and judge!!!

simone201--i've already tried..
there might be problems!! now I have simply honey 3.2 so I dont want to upgrade due to all the problems in 3.3 . (and as I said- 3.5might include some problems too)
p.s- why am I getting crazy ? lol? it seems you are..
waiting for more people and help please..

Do your parents still cut the crust off your sandwiches for you.
Just flash the rom and find out for yourself. If you don't like it... Move on to the next.
WOW.. what a noob 10 years old... next time use your parents in order to understand what I've written before posting a new comment!! (sorry for you..)

Please, stop bumping this thread and making new ones!
This is terrible, you cant compare those 2 roms.
And you said you've tested them both, so why not use that one that's better?
if its hard to understand, the word "them" means to simply honey 3.2 and 3.5 !!!
of course I can compare ONLY about the CAPABILITIES
(about how the room feels/looks/ beutiful or not-- all this things of course, I will decide by myself and im NOT asking for that)
NOTE- if you have nothing helpul to say to my question and you just wanna say negetive comments- do NOT NOT NOT answer!! its not the place for you
people please help me.. !
Dude, both are awesome. But you can not compare the two ROMs! Simply Honey is 2.3.3 based and MIUI is 2.3.4 based!
The difference in features are very minor, maybe a little here and there. But basically both are equally good ROMs. Try it out for yourself and see which one you like!
I'm currently running MIUI MCGv3 which is fantastic but it is not quite as complete as the stock custom roms like Juwe's or Simply Honey, two of the biggest let downs being the lack of an FM Radio and choppy MKV playback. But in saying that it is stunning visually and has a lot of cool unique features. I haven't used Simply Honey only Juwe's so this could be a little biased. All in all you'll have to try them out yourself, different rom's for different people and different needs.
vijaykanth--- thanks god that's what I want to know -- "The difference in features are very minor" omg thanks finally someone understands!! well I hope your right..
Shrapnel2--- thanks you very much!
still need more people and comments
**and what about the speed? the speed is preety much the same in both roms or one of them is way more faster?
(and look guys, all about how the rom looks and feels of course I will decide by myself.. im looking for the rom who has better features, and fast rom. so thats what im asking if the features, speed, stable and all this stuff are the same +- in both roms or not)

The main reason I moved to MIUI from Juwe's is that I was getting bored of the same old interface even with changing round png's in the framework and modifying bits and pieces- everything still looked bland to me. Speedwise I think that if you compared the two(Juwe's or Simply Honey on ext4) you would find them to be fairly close, I think lists tend to load faster on MIUI but it has been a while. Stability is fairly good but not 100% of the time, eg before settings Force closed on me, no biggie though as I had apps fc on Samsung GB roms too. Another thing to note is battery isn't the best on MIUI, you'll easily get a day under average use but don't expect three day marathons like some Samsung roms do. So good luck on picking!
each rom is better if the person likes it .I use miui but before that i used simply honey and it was good but i like miui better .It has lots of new features
I installed Simply Honey 3.5 the day it was released, I was previously using Darky's Rom v10 and I was very happy with the change. SH is visually beautiful, I installed Dark Core kernal after installing it to fix the bluetooth issues with CF-Root.
The front camera is still displayed sideways but thats no concern to me since I barely use it anyway. Love the new lockscreens, the market is a bit odd to look at but it doesn't bug me too much (if it does there's plenty of themes out there). After flashing the SGS2 email apk I was very pleased with my phone. It's been a lot more snappier than Darky's and haven't noticed any lag at all..
I'd take Simone's advice and install SH 3.5, you wont be dissapointed =)
Just try both for a full day - you can revert to your previous one anytime with a nandroid backup.
as far as I've understood -after restoring applications, the andorid market and applanet might not recognize them as 'installed applications'. then, I will not be able to update my restored applications
and thanks everyone!!! waiting for more comments..
As to which ROM to get?
So many new developers with new ROMs which is great but how do I choose which is best for me?
I'm currently on GingerReal 8.0 and it's quite slow in comparison to my other recently flashed ROMs but it's OK for now.
What I want is an overall nice ROM; speed, looks and battery life are all as important as each other for me.
What is your favourite ROM and why is it better than the others?
Thanks for your help guys
This thread is going to start a flame war !
there is no better / worse ROMs out there, they are all unique in their own little way..
The only advice i can give you (and im sure many others will agree) Is you search the development section carefully. Pick out a few ROMs you like the sound of, Flash them on your device, and have a little play...
Read the comments, see what people are saying about it, Weigh up the pro's and con's.. And make your decision based upon your results..
There are LOTS of ROMs out there, it would take a lifetime (over exaggerating) to try them all.. So its important you find a ROM that meets your expectations.
Hope this helps good luck

its the only way mate, if i was to tell you "choose MIUI its the best", Then a darky user will come over and say "No its not, darky's is the best"
And then a simply honey user says, "no mines the best"..... the list goes on, Before you know it we are all arguing like little kids...
it gets us no where... !
Have fun
It's hard to hold one rom over another. Each offer features which some want and others don't need or want.
It's especially hard at the moment, as we're in what a appears to be a very active developement firmware development cycle at Samsung.
Though in the past Darky's rom was a safe bet for beginners, offering a decent mix of extra features along with stability and speed improvements over stock roms, their roms in the gingerbread era have lacked polish.
Then we have cyanogen based roms which are independent of the samsung devlopement cycle but are for advanced flashers who like to flash every other day it would seem.
TL;DR
Pick the rom which suits you. I like Surface at the moment. It suits my needs. But i'm on the precipace of flashing a cyanogen based rom
Just say 1 2 3 4 and choose 1
+ 1 to all of the above, roms are like wine, get out and taste them

Yeah, +1 too.
Just wanted to add that if you want a really smooth and fast phone, after reading the roms threads, I give you the advice of reading the custom kernel threads too...
The kernel is, in my opinion, the best way to have a smoother phone.
I think you can have the rom you want (design and functionalities wise) but if you want smoothness, stability and / or good battery usage, you will have to carefully choose the kernel you want...
For CM7 roms, I don't know the kernels...
But for Samsung roms, the 3 best kernels of the moment, in my opinion (because they are in active development and the devs are working really really really ****ing hard...) are Talon (performance, stability, energy), Galaxian (performance) and Semaphore kernels (stability).
Hope it will help !
Hello everyone,
I've been a fellow follower of the forum since I got my Galaxy S about 4 months ago. It is an amazing phone.
I've tried CM7 at the beginning, MIUI and several ROMs (currently with Darkys 10.1) and I had always a problem.
With CM7/MIUI the problem is battery life and some incompatibilities like codecs, playing flv files and so on. I am really having problems to know the current state of CM7 cores, mostly about if the battery life is comparable with stock rom.
I really want to try something that is still evolving but stable, that when I want to upgrade I don't have to wipe everything, and that I don't need to spend days to have everything working.
My main concern is battery life when using 3G, now it is simple not enough and the quantity of applications that can be run in background. For GPS I use GPS AIDS and seems to work fine.
So I really want to stick to only one ROM (Darky for me is too slow for updates and I have some issues with it)
EDIT: I am currently testing CM
Thanks!
if you want speed choose MIUI / CM7
If you want battery life Choose something similar to stock
if you want both ............ Tough sh!t lol

I used CM7 once, but what is so special about it? I only saw speed y the selectable themes. Then I had compatibility and codec issues, also needed to find some driver for the pc to use usb tethering.
I installed juwe over JVH with Darkys but I am getting FC with EDT app and reboots in the browser.... any ideas? Something wrong? I installed it via CMW with Wipe Version.
Also for Tethering you need to copy some script from one folder to another... why the Semaphore Kernel doesn't come with that predefined?
I may try SURFACE as for CM I need to mess with Odin.

I really tried Juwe's rom doing all the necessary steps.
But I have a force close error when trying to change the screen delay in settings, also no DPI support as the twLauncher and the browser has some lag.
I think I need another rom.

As I am sure you have realized by now, the reason threads like this very little usefulness is that they almost immediately become Fanboi Fiestas. Each respondent will tell you that their favorite ROM will solve all of your problems and wash your car at the same time.
In the end, the only proper judge of which ROM is best for you will be YOU. You simply need to select a handful of ROMs that seem good to you, and test them out. No advice, no fanboi screed, no feature list can do that job for you.
Reading your posts, I can possibly give you some ideas of what to look for in very broad strokes.
First of all, the battery problem in CM7 is pretty much corrected by recent development. Most users now get about the same battery life as they would on the average Samsung ROM. However, I would NOT suggest you install CM7. If as you say you want to install a single ROM and then be done with it, then CM7 is certainly not for you as updates come every day or two. They don;t NEED to all be installed, but most users do. CM7 is the ROM for those who like to tweak and tune their phones and rewards people who like to experiment and really dig into the nuts and bolts of the OS. Since you say that when you installed CM7 for a little while months ago all you noticed was that it was faster and had lots of pretty themes, and you claim not to have time to even read a thread to learn about a ROM, then CM7 is ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR YOU.
Insanity and MUIU are both ROMs based on CM7 the same way the Samsung ROMs are based on the Samsung android version. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. Insanity is closer to CM7 in look and feel, while MUIU is closed source and by default very much like iOS. Each one has devoted fans, so feel free to try them.
The endless numbers of Samsung ROMs are mainly themed versions of the basic Samsung code, with some kernel tweaks thrown in. You are usually best off choosing the one you like the looks of best, if you choose to go in that direction. Samsung ROM fanbois and devs will usually tell you their ROM is incredibly fast and feature packed, and so much better than anyone else's ROM. Whether that is true or not, take all such claims with a grain of salt.
Go out, download 5 or so roms, read their install instructions carefully, familiarize yourself with ODIN and the three button recovery method...and start exploring.
Good luck.

I am familiarized with Odin and CMW since I had the phone and I tried so many ROMs when I started. The thing is that now I don't have so much time to read all the posts I only read the first ones with the main info.

What do you mean lack of changelog? Its on every post i post a rom post 1 and post 2 included...
http://nfye.eu/changelog
These kind of threads are pointless, like was mentioned earlier, each to his own ROM, some that work for some may not work for others, it does`nt make a ROM bad/unstable blah blah, only one way to judge a ROM, try it out then decide, no need for all this prick measuring...just my €1:74..
Ok thr best rom for you is jetpack, its pretty stable and has all features you are looking for with excellent battery life its very easy to install as the developer of that rom has made a simple yo use app. That takes care of all of the simple steps like wipe/no wipe, which kernel, which theme (two themes - basic stock theme or blue cm7 theme) and which modem! Jetpack's latest version which is v3.1 has some problems with tw4 so i advice you to not install v3.1 and wait for v3. 2 which will be there in 1-2 days as said by the developer!

Hi everyone, first I wanna say that Iam pretty bad speaking english but I ll do my best to this topic.
I just want to say that Im pretty happy with the community of OB cuz I have just 2 month with my OB and in that time there was just like 2, 3 ROMs available and those was little outdate... But right now we have 200% more than those days and they are pretty amazing ones
So all I have to say is keep that way and soon we even will have ICS in OB =P
Thx to:
- tantrums for his amazing Marvel Rom.
- gabwerkz for his amazing echelon ROM
- Huexxx for his amazing Zeus ROM
- achyut for his recent amazin ROM too
- re4lsk for his LFD ROM (I never try this but there is some pretty nice comm)
- TheFrankenstain for his work trying to port MIUI for our OB
And those dev that in his time work hard on our OB (I dont know exactly names cuz Im not that old on OB)
Edit:
This is my experience using those ROMs:
The first ROM I use was:
NOVA (Android 2.2)
This ROM is just excelent but is just a 2.2 Froyo ROM. I try this cuz when I buy my OB it came with that android version and that ROM was the original one plus a lot of tweaks!, I had no problem using this but I rly want to change to 2.3... so I found:
Zeus (Android 2.3.4)
At that moment it was at version 2.0 or similar, there we have an excellent ROM, no problems at all and great perfomance. I use this ROM long time without any Change, but there comming v3 and then 4 and I have bad experiences because SOD and when new version arrive I was wondering if t that will have no SODs and there I see still there for me... So, this ROM is excellent if you dont experiment any SOD (a lot of ppl havent but I do every time).
Then a lot of ROM born and I will not say in orden wich ROM I use (cuz I rly dont remember) but I ll say something about it.
Marvel
At it beggining it was just original ROM with a little tweaks, no so much difference, thats why I think this ROM wasnt rly a ROM, but then newest version arrive and it change a lot. I think this ROM is just perfect, great perfomance, no SOD for me, not problem at all... the reason I dont use this anymore is cuz "ICS UI". Im tired to see that UI at this momment...
Sapphire
I try this ROM less than a day because it UI, I just rly dont like, to much color and charge interface... I cant say anything usefull cuz I use this like 12 hours, it is smooth, great perfomance but thats it, I cant say anything else.
Echelon
This is my main ROM for my OB, I was a betatester of this ROM in an alpha version and it was just ammazing, then realease version arrive and a lot of ppl say that it was laggy, but I never experiment that, It is just rly smooth, great perfomance, amazing battery life (Im on 46% and it have 17hours of use with 3g on). I think you need to give a try to this ROM and if you dont experiment bad perfomance you will be happy with this =D
LFD
Like I say before, I never use this ROM... I remember now why I just dont... this is based on a "chinnese" ROM named Lezo and when that ROM arrive for our OB I give it a try and I was pretty dissapoined and when I see LFD was bassed on that, I just cant flash because my bad experience.... Maybe later I ll flash to give it a chance.
TMR
Well for this ROM I was a betatester too and I rly like the UI from MIUI, but there was a lot of problems at that time. Then It got new version and resolve a lot of problems. If you are a MIUI user, this is for you, there is a few problems yet, I experiment 2 random reboots, and the UI isnt smooth yet, but maybe some day will be a great ROM.
Noa
I never try this because Xperia UI, Im tired of that UI because I was xperia user and I just dont wanna see this anymore
CM7
Pretty nice but isnt stable yet.
I hope this can help you =P
+1

+1 to all the roms but a (-1) to LFD ROM...
Congrats for the great work of all devs (including re4lsk ) and other users that contribute for this awesome community
I have been ghosting around for a while, now it's time to participate
Could this become a thread for people to discuss the different pros and cons of the several roms we now have? (or is there already a thread for that?)
It's becoming hard to decide and since not all of us have enough free time to test them all I believe it would be useful to have such a thread

umm...i think ur wrong here...LFD is lezo based. "NOA" rom by DiederickC uses most of my SE ports to get a closer look to SE.
nd, i was a xperia user myself (but loved the SE UI )
Agreed to OP
Excellent work from devs on all roms available wright now, nice to see everybody is helping each other te improve their products.
I'm here now for a few weeks, looking for nice stuff for my OB.
So far i tested some great roms, right now i am on Zeus 5.03 lite. This one is nice stable en pretty fast.
Past 2 days i have been trying Echelon, with ups and downs. I have been reading in Echelon topic (to bad i can't post there yet)
This went in up and downs, first it ran laggy en got max 1500 on quadrant advanced, after a second install everything went very well and got 2000 on quadrant. but then after a few hours the lag came back for a unknown reason.
I don't know what the problem is, maybe it is a fault of myself.. i don't know
much reading and searching keeps me learning every day en coming a little further each day.

Yeah, my mistake. I was confussed between LFD and Noa... thx for your comment
Well I think this thread can have my experience using that ROMs, so I'll edit first post and add that information there. Like everyone know the whole experiences is different for everyone, so take that informations as my opinion and no as a veredict
Thanks for the summary, it will be useful
I tried a lot of Custom ROMs in the last 6 months ..
The last 3 were:
-Echelon (stable, nice and simple UI, actually using),
-Marvel v4-v5-v6 (Pretty good and stable, until the last updates, Eats a lot of memory!!, so I changed)
-CM7 RC1 (Pretty Fast, very nice UI, but has a lot of bugs, too many reboots and freezzing, Can't wait for stable release)
Maybe put in a poll to see which rooms people prefer. Put the versions of the ROMs too eg. ZEUS v6 or marvel v6 etc.
Kudos

I use Marvel A! It's the closest you can get to stock ROM for stability reason. Plus I have the option to remove all Bloatwares with Titanium Backup or Root Browser.
The advantage is "Peace of Mind" meaning I can finally use my phone as real phone releaving myself from endless flashing of new custom ROM bug updates everyday. When ICS comes out. I'll do the same method
Hi everyone !
There's quite some interesting roms for our LG Optimus 2x. I've been using stock, then DjangoManouche (for quite some time), then MIUI v5 (using it right now). MIUI seemed a good idea at the time, but honestly it's quite inusable, very heavy. So I'm looking for a nice and lightweight rom, which could be used with my LG specs, here :
JB preferred, kowalski kernel actually, new bootloader with 30b baseband.
Problem is, there are so much roms I have no idea where I should start ...
So, could you please share what you think i should give a try ?
Thank you !
I don't know about the baseband, but you should check mostly up to date roms, like tonyps' the ROM, cm10.1 t-build, pa by the same tony or cm10.1 by pengus. You could also try slim roms by djnoxd. If i remember correctly, all of them are pretty much lightweight, comes with kowalski kernel. I like the slim rom color inversion, but other roms are nice too. You should try them and see which one appeals you most. Good luck!

Check my signature. Very nice ROM I am sure you will like
hmm ... 2 answers already, and 2 suggesting slim* roms. I think that's the way to go then
Seems there are multiple versions ? Anyway, thank you both of you for your advices, I will try it and come back to close this topic with result and feedback.
Again, thank you !
Ahh, I see a fellow "let's find the best" rom-flasher. I am more or less exactly like you. I even installed the latest MIUI just yesterday. But after having this device for some time, I found my sweet spot. Yes, MIUI is heavy(I even disabled some built in apps, but still wasn't good enough), ICS doesn't quite cut it, 2.3 is way too old for me to enjoy, and 4.4 is not perfect. I found my sweet spot to be TonyP's Clean CM10.2. I use it with the Android 4.4 kitkat theme and Nova Launcher. That combined with Greenify does the job quite beautifully. As for SlimBean, I didn't test it, but I see a lot of users are enjoying it. Search. That's my advice. I used every available rom on here, just to find my preference. For now, I'm waiting for CM11 and the 3.1 kernel to be fully operable, and then I'll probably switch to CM11. All in all, you've got everything you need.
Thanks for your advice NoDze. Topic is a bit more specialized, as I'm searching for the lightweight rom, not the best. I honestly can't try them all but I guess I can't really avoid it at some point. So, thanks for sharing your setup, that's another one to considerate :good:

By definition, a lightweight rom should be one with only basic stuff implemented, like phone, messaging and stuff, and furthermore, it would be nice that such one is as AOSP as possible. Tony's The ROM, for example, is in my opinion bloated with features, and that's why I avoid it. I, myself, remove all applications that I consider unusable fro the zip, prior to flashing. SlimRom, as much as the name might imply, is in my opinion full of additional features for which I find no need. It is a great rom, nevertheless, but everyone has its own preference. You can even try the good old "Look Ma" CM10 by Pengus. That ROM has only basic stuff, clean CM and I often hear here on the forums that by flashing KK M1, it's a beast. I mean, asking which ROM is the best is really as if you're asking what superhero is the best in a comicbook store. As for lightweight: OptiX(ICS), LookMa(CM10),SlimBean(CM10.1, CM10.2). I know you knew all this, but I just wanted to provide further info.

'Seems quite a good definition to me . That's what i was searching for. SlimBean answered the call. For now, it rocks It was able to withstand everything I've thrown at it, plus the installation was smooth, fast, and easy. Indeed, there's a lot of features i'm not going to use, but it doesn't seem to affect speed (so far). Everything is working (i mean Camera, Photo, Wifi etc) and LG2x is very well responding.
Curiously, the only things a bit out were native android launchers : i've tried the one that comes with slimbean and the 4.4 launcher, and i experienced some problems with both of them rapidly (some slowdown, crashes). Apex launcher fixed that, but i'm not sure why android launchers were so slow.
Then, thank you again for your answers and your infos. Acknowledged, received, and saved
[Troll mode /on] And by the way, everyone in a comic shop should know that wolverine is the best superhero ever created... mwhouhahah [Troll mode /off]
