Hi is there a way I can turn my X8 into a mic connected to an external speaker.
I found some mic apps in the market.
Firstly , If I use the mic app without a headset , I say something in the phone mic , I hear it back through the phone speaker.
Secondly, when I connect the earphone into my X8 , then
if I say something in the earphone mic , I can hear it back through the earphone speaker.
But is it possible to say something in the earphone mic/ X8 mic and get it on an external speaker ?
That would mean use of green (audio) wire of the speaker and pink (mic) wire of the microphone. But the X8 has one port.
Is there any hardware available to make this possible ? It'd be awesome to use it in karaoke's
Maybe using an adapted with dual plug, I will try and if it works I'll show you how
You can try looking for this one but I doubt it will work. We would be glad to hear some feedback from you. Goodluck

You can try to make your own adapter the headset has this pin assignment:
The first pin at the top is the Left Speakers +
The second pin is the Right Speakers +
The third pin is the Microphones +
and the last at the bottom is the Ground -

Sorry if I am beating a dead horse, but I love my Tilt... but hate the low volume on BT...
Nothing yet, there's no reaction from HTC yet....
There is no inherent BT "problem".
My TyTN II's BT volume is perfect. I use the Bluetrek ST1 stereo BT headset which has built in SRS WOW settings and this makes a HUGE difference on volume. So it is headset dependant and not device dependant.
Apply this fix

Using my old K-Jam I had perfect volume control using my cars bluetooth function. Changing to the Kaiser (O2 branded) the volume is terrible and virtually unusable unless you are stationary.
I intend to check this with an HTC branded unit to compare, but there is something not right and I don't believe it is the car.
Hello,
my Name is Chris and i am from Germany.
My english is realy por but i hope i can explain wahts happen.
I buy a second-hand Xperia X1. Everything works fine. I found a not original Rom Version but it dosent care. The Phone works fine. I try the Headphone Connector to check out the Sound Quality. I was very suprised, the Sound was great. Ok, i connect the Phone with a Logitech 2.1 Sound System and enjoy the Music. After a few minutes, the X1 need to charge. I connect the Charger with the Phone and then , the Sound is cut off. I hear only a gentle, rasping sound. It dosen't care i use the 2.1 or the Headphones.
The internal Speaker and a Bluetooth Headset works. Only the Jack dont work.
I think, the Amplifier for the Jack is broken.
Wath can i do ?
I have no ordinary MP3-Player
Have someone Pictures from the Amplifier Device or the Area around the Headphone Jack?
Did you use original charger?
Yes, i do.
I'm sorry my English isn't good too since English is not my primary language.
Do you mean the jack inside photo? If so, maybe this:

So my headphones are broken (again ), but I still have some headphones lying around from my old Sony W800i(or K750) phone so I thought about hacking them to be able to use them on my defy.
The headset:

I found the pinout of the plug here:
http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-P-W/se_k750i_pinout.shtml
Every function has it's own pin so we can solder them in the right place.
The button on this headphone shorts the mic+ and mic-. The mic is a 1k mic (also the same as my old headset so hopes of this working are high.
I'm going to solder them on a TRRS 3.5 jack I got from eBay. I just have to figure out where to put the mic's.
It'll probably be mic- to ground an mic+ to the second ring.
Mic+ should be on the outer sleeve and Mic- and ground have to be on the second ring from the tip.
Colors of the wires for the sony heatset are:
Green: Right
Blue: Left
Black: Mic-
White: Mic+
Outer wires: Ground
It's hard to solder on a TRRS 3.5 jack. Best to have a small tip.
Result:
yes u are doing it right. btw sound of these headsets is really nice
Gentlemen i am experiencing a problem with the normal mic used for normal calls when the phone is next to my ear.
The other side can barely hear me and there is this effect other hear, as if my finger is on the mic while i am talking...
I thought it might be dust or something of that sort, but after all the phone is disproof.
So my question is, is there a way to increase the gain only on the normal MIC? Or has anyone else here experienced it and found a different solution?
I am currently on iHackers 4.1 with doomkernel 21. Will soon update to iHackers 5.1. Also i turned Noise suppression off but it did not fix it.

Thank you for your reply i tried all these settings already and it kind of does the job but the quality is still bad..
my xperia sp, have a bug in the audio change internal, he doesn't change automatically of the headset to speaker. This started when I used an iPhone 4 headset, I had to use the sound about to switch from the headset to the speaker, and can listen to the call on earpiece.

Is this like... Apple... Going against standards, for so long now, and that I do not know?

Just swap the mic and the ground and call it creativity
No standards with Apple, they even eliminated the 3.5mm headphone jack*from*iPhone 7, now users have to buy adapter, lightning dongle or wireless headset!
