Gentlemen i am experiencing a problem with the normal mic used for normal calls when the phone is next to my ear.
The other side can barely hear me and there is this effect other hear, as if my finger is on the mic while i am talking...
I thought it might be dust or something of that sort, but after all the phone is disproof.
So my question is, is there a way to increase the gain only on the normal MIC? Or has anyone else here experienced it and found a different solution?
I am currently on iHackers 4.1 with doomkernel 21. Will soon update to iHackers 5.1. Also i turned Noise suppression off but it did not fix it.
this is one of z1's fails.

Hi,
I have a "little" problem which is very annoying...the volum bar goes up and down by itself, and this happens very often.

(Random picture from google)
Typing a message (or doing anything else on the phone) takes a very long time because it keeps popping up all the time. I upgraded the ROM, but that didn't work either....it seems to use a lot of battery when this happens too Battery can be dead after a day or less...and that's when I haven't even used it at all.
I have no idea why this started to happen...I hadn't done any changes on the phone before that. It doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the volume buttons on the side either so it must be a software problem.
Any tips are greatly appreciated
I believe we have the same issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4081584#post4081584
This started happening yesterday for me.
yeah we have the same bug :/ atleast it's nice to see that I'm not the only one with this problem...hopefully someone will come up with a solution to fix this problem....It's driving me crazy
This happened to me after the phone got a little wet. It disappeared after a few days tho.
any chance its the auto change volume of the apointments calander
that mute the sound when u are in a meeting ?
The speaker volume on the phone is great, but sometimes I have a difficult time hearing the conversation through the earpiece, even when turned all the way up. This seems to be worse if I'm driving in a car and there is the road noise in the background. I usually end up turning on the speaker phone but then sometimes that affects the other caller.
Does anyone know if there is a mod that can increase the earpiece volume setting above the built-in settings? Thanks!

The fastest way is to go to settings, call, mark hearing aid. It will amplify in call volume.

Sent from my lair.
Good Day Everyone,
Please help me. After updating my samsung galaxy note9 to november 1, 2020 patch, I have this problem/issues with calls. When someone tries to call me either Sim1 or Sim2, they couldn't hear me but I can hear them. I already tried some possible fix, but still the issues prevailed. Such as swapping the sims, turning on only 1 sim only, airplane mode several times, clearing system cache. I haven't tried to call someone else and don't know if they could hear me or not. The only workaround that I figured is that you have to tap the speaker mode then switching it off again then they could hear me. It's like the microphone was disabled when calling, only turning it on automatically when pressing the speaker twice to switch off. Before updating my phone, it was totally fine and useful. Now it frustrates me to tap the speaker twice so that the other side would be able to hear me.
Please, if anyone can help me how to contact samsung support through email too so that they will be aware with this issues.

Have you tried wiping the Cache Partition in recovery mode?

The sounds was quiet out of the speaker, so I rebooted it. Now I have no sounds at all.
Not from Spotify or phone calls. They can't hear me either.
I am getting the above error on reboot, then Sounds Optimization closes.
No Bluetooth audio either, error from Sound Recorder that some other app is using the mic.
No audio if I plug into the charging port with audio splitter.
No audio in Safe Mode (and the same Sound Optimization error too).
Considering factory reset, and maybe flashing whatever is posted here. Could that help ?
Though, once it's rooted, I wouldn't be able to use it for work.
Thanks!
mine just got this problem too. Haven`t rooted it.
Have you found a solution?
How did you root it?
How did you fix it.. I'm getting the same error
Was anyone able to fix this? it randomly started working again at some point then the issue cam up again
This is a common issue. Hardware failure. Asus and Qualcomm know about it. Good luck getting anyone to admit it.
I need to be able to adjust the audio balance (or, if you prefer, the left-right volumes) on my Pixel 7. (One earbud plays half as loud as the other.) But every app I have tried so far (Wavelet and PowerAmp EQ are the only ones with memorable names) fails to be able to do this. They'll generally work in all other functions (EQ, total volume, reverb, etc) but always fail to address the left-right balance.
Is there a magic app I haven't tried? Is there an inbuilt setting I haven't found yet? Or is the Pixel 7/current-Android-version simply incapable?
Thanks in advance. I did search xda and the rest of the world and came up empty.
Try going to settings, accessibility, audio adjustment. There is a L/R slider.
Good luck!

Crap, I know I looked there at least once. Must have skimmed right past it.
That works, but it'll be a pain if I switch to the other earbuds. Don't suppose there's any way to make it quicker to adjust or shortcut to that setting?
ETA: Wait, stop, I just discovered Accesibility Shortcuts are a thing. Never needed anything like this before. Thanks again, OJ!
