I need to be able to adjust the audio balance (or, if you prefer, the left-right volumes) on my Pixel 7. (One earbud plays half as loud as the other.) But every app I have tried so far (Wavelet and PowerAmp EQ are the only ones with memorable names) fails to be able to do this. They'll generally work in all other functions (EQ, total volume, reverb, etc) but always fail to address the left-right balance.
Is there a magic app I haven't tried? Is there an inbuilt setting I haven't found yet? Or is the Pixel 7/current-Android-version simply incapable?
Thanks in advance. I did search xda and the rest of the world and came up empty.
Try going to settings, accessibility, audio adjustment. There is a L/R slider.
Good luck!

Crap, I know I looked there at least once. Must have skimmed right past it.
That works, but it'll be a pain if I switch to the other earbuds. Don't suppose there's any way to make it quicker to adjust or shortcut to that setting?
ETA: Wait, stop, I just discovered Accesibility Shortcuts are a thing. Never needed anything like this before. Thanks again, OJ!

please help
hello? .
if i m not mistaken, it is the HTC homeplug which you can unable it under Setting - Today.
yea, but it ends up on the home screen and not on the bottom
it is called HTC TrayApp.
thanks! i just searched one of posts where you explain how to configure it, however..how do i make it so it just shows the battery?
In HKLM\Software\HTC\TrayApplet you would delete the other settings & change the power icon setting to the 0 location I believe.
I'm lost...all i see is
-TrayApplet
0
3
in the 0 folder
LaunchApPath \Windows\CommManager.exe
ResPath \Windows\CommManager.exe
and in the 3 folder
LaunchApPath BlankIcon
ResPath BlackIcon
nvm..i got it =)
thanks so much...i will take a screen shot when i get back home
Just out of curiosity, when you select an app does it play a sound?
i dont know what your talking about...
I use a similar program and every time a press an icon there is a loud beep sound that drives me crazy. I was hoping the one you're using doesn't make any noise.
It's about time all of our favorite phones had something fun, and very slightly useful.
I'm not sure how hard it would be to write an App, that acts as an etch-a-sketch. What really gave me this inspiration was i was sent a picture of an etch-a-sketched picture and said to myself man if i had one i would send a better picture right back!
Also shake the TP for more than 2 seconds and BAM your picture is erased, cool huh?
since there are no knobs on the TP the keys could be as i have added in the picture. If anyone is willing to take this on, I believe it would be a very good addition to Raphael software!

Or you could use the touch pad on either side of the dpad for controls by doing circular motions. The bottom touchpad actually allows multi-touch, so you could do both at the same time. The Home/Call side could be for vertical control and the Back/End for horizontal.
You could also use the G-Sensor, allowing the person to tilt the phone around to move the cursor.
well we don't want to use the g-sensors too much so it can be shaken clear
ya use capacitive area or just the scroll wheel then keys for other knob
either way its a cool idea
I need some ideas.
Still figuring that out as i go..
At the moment, I mainly use my Google Glass to record stories from my older relatives and do in car video recording (had a gopro previously), like the notifications via IFTTT about when it is snowing or raining. Also get my google now alerts, email, txts, phone call alerts on it too. Also have been listening to my google music with it too while walking about and of course the navigation features are cool too.
I like not having to pull out phone; even though sometimes it's easier. Voice control is a bit weird to get used to initially but is pretty decent. My biggest geek use of it though is controlling my Philips Hue bulbs by voice with it. Some sample pics (vignettes = overlays of photo and glass display, very fun!).
Still a lot to be improved but now that more and more people have it; we are seeing new apps each week.

neat
tI've been using my Note 8 for about a week and a half and I've encountered a really annoying bug that wasn't there on the first day.
When I'm in any kind of multi-tasking screen, any Internet Browser on the bottom half of the screen is blanked out. So for example, in the two screenshots below, I have Amazon and NewEgg open in Samsung Browser and Chrome at the same time. Whichever one is on the bottom is completely blanked out. If I switch which app is on the bottom, it switches which one will be blacked out.
In my phone, it looks black, but in the screenshots below it looks white.
Anyone know what this could be? Admittedly, it could be a lot of different things--I've been toying with Bx Actions, Bk package disabler / ADB, Nova Launcher, my settings, etc...
As it stands now, the rest of the phone works great, but I may have to factory reset my device.
It would also help if someone can tell me how to reliably create a bunch of restore points so I can move in iterations next time I set everything up.
Thanks

The stock EdgeLighting and I downloaded EdgeLighting+ and I still cannot get the camera hole punch notification light to work on either the outer or inner screens. I assume the correct option would be "Eclipse" but when I press it nothing happens?

I'm using Always On Edge from the Play Store.
I've used it on past few galaxy models and it works really well, minimal impact to battery life.
Settings can be a bit tricky but it's easy enough to work out. I've raised a few issues with the dev and he always responds and sorts it really quickly. At the minute I can only get it working on either the front or inside screen, not both at the same time due to the camera placement. I've contacted dev to see if that would be something he could implement.
Use the app called Aod Notify. Perfect app.
